Be a Local Tourist Friends of the San Pedro River Hikes

The San Pedro River is the last free flowing river in the Southwest and has been designated one of Last Great Places by the Nature Conservancy. It also features some of the richest wildlife habitat in the United States. Join the Friends of the San Pedro River on hikes to explore and learn more about the river.  Two hikes led by trained docents are offered on Saturday, June 7. The first is a hike for birders starting at 7:00 a.m. near the Hereford Bridge. The group will meet at the Hereford Bridge Trailhead just south of Hereford Road and west of the River. The second hike is a two-mile interpretive walk over easy terrain along the river starting at 8:00 a.m. at the San Pedro House, 9800 E. Hwy 90.
Remember to bring plenty of water and dress appropriately for hiking and weather conditions. Admission is free but donations are accepted.
