Medicines play an important role in treating many conditions and diseases, but when they are no longer needed it’s important to dispose of them properly to avoid harm to others. The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible way to dispose of prescription drugs, while educating the public about the potential for abuse of medications. So bring your expired or unused prescriptions to the Take-Back Day and we’ll dispose of them properly. Can’t make it that day? Unused or expired prescriptions can also be dropped off at the Sierra Vista Police Department and all City Fire Stations. For more information call 452-7500.

Book discussion group to meet The next book up for discussion by the Cochise College Literary Guild is “Spirit Walk,” written by Cochise College instructor Jay Treiber. The discussion is Nov. 21, 11 a.m. – noon, in the Horace Steele Room in the Sierra Vista Campus Library Building.
