Mayor’s Arts, Humanities Award
The Sierra Vista Arts and Humanities Commission is seeking nominations for the 2014 Mayor's Arts and Humanities Awards to recognize those who have significantly contributed to the arts or humanities in Sierra Vista in 2014.
Nominations are accepted in three categories: individuals, corporations or organizations, and arts in education. They are judged on the significance of the contribution, breadth of population served, and project longevity or intensity.
Nomination forms are available online at www.SierraVistaAZ.gov (search word "2014 mayors award). Nominations are due Oct. 24.

Book discussion group to meet The next book up for discussion by the Cochise College Literary Guild is “Spirit Walk,” written by Cochise College instructor Jay Treiber. The discussion is Nov. 21, 11 a.m. – noon, in the Horace Steele Room in the Sierra Vista Campus Library Building.
