Historical society hosts Amazing Arizona
In conjunction with the Arizona Humanities Council, and Sierra Vista Public Library, the Sierra Vista Historical Society is hosting the second in the series of Amazing Arizona 2014, “A Patchwork of Stories.” On Dec. 2, Doug Hocking will present the “Bascom Affair,” 1 p.m., in the Mona Bishop Room of the Sierra Vista Public Library, 2600 E. Tacoma St. Those who are familiar with Arizona history recognize this affair as the beginning of an 11-year war with the Apaches led by Cochise. This event is open to the public and free of charge.
