Douglas Days celebration planned

Douglas Days celebration planned
Join the City of Douglas in celebrating Douglas’ past, present, and future May 15 and 16 at Raul Castro Park, 10th Street, between D and E Avenue. The annual event commemorates the day Douglas was incorporated on May 1905.
A welcome ceremony at 5 p.m. takes place May 15 at Castro Park followed by musical performances by Davy Morales and Sierra Outlaws. Food and craft vendors, informational booths and a beer garden will be featured at the park both days.
Festivities kick off with a 10 a.m. parade along G Avenue May 16 followed by bed races, free Slaughter’s Ranch tours, art walk around the church square, musical and dance performances and participation by sister cities Agua Prieta and Nacozari.
