Weekend Travel Advisory - No Closures 
December 25-28, 2015


Arizona drivers heading to holiday destinations will not encounter any freeway closures for construction work this weekend. Drivers should be aware of the following safety tips:
  • Check your vehicle ahead of time, including tire pressure, fluid levels and the condition of engine belts.
  • Get a good night’s rest before heading out on a trip. Drowsy driving is unsafe.
  • Buckle up and double-check child safety seats.
  • Be prepared for unscheduled closures due to crashes, disabled vehicles or other incidents.
  • Never drive while impaired. Plan ahead for a designated driver if necessary.

Book discussion group to meet

Book discussion group to meet The next book up for discussion by the Cochise College Literary Guild is “Spirit Walk,” written by Cochise College instructor Jay Treiber. The discussion is Nov. 21, 11 a.m. – noon, in the Horace Steele Room in the Sierra Vista Campus Library Building.
