Child Identification Program (CHIP)

Child Identification Program (CHIP)

The SVPD and the SVFD, the Jim and Shirley Elliston “CHIP” Program of Cochise County will be conducting a free Child Identification Day on Saturday, Mar 5 from 9 a.m. to 1p.m. at Fire Station 363, 675 Guilio Cesare Ave, SV). During the process a DNA swab, Color Photo, Finger- prints, and a Recorded Interview is printed out and downloaded onto a CD that is AMBER ALERT ready and given to the parent or guardian. The software is designed so none of the child’s information is saved on the computer or retained by any volunteer. The “CHIP” program is FREE, but donations are accepted. For more information contact the Sierra Vista Police Department at 452-7500.
