Thunder & Lightning over Arizona: Air Show & Open House 


Celebrate aviation history and air power with military air demonstrations by the Thunderbirds and other military and civilian acts at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base March 12-13 from 9
a.m. to 5 p.m. daily; aerial demonstrations begin around 11a.m. Each performance by the Thunderbirds can last up to 75 minutes and is made up of 40 different maneuvers, both formation flying and solo routines. The entire Tucson community is invited to attend the Open House to experience both the aerial demonstrations and ground displays. Food, beverages and novelties will be available to purchase. Please visit the event’s website for information on prohibited items. The event is free and open to all. VIP and beer garden tickets can be purchased ahead of time online.

Book discussion group to meet The next book up for discussion by the Cochise College Literary Guild is “Spirit Walk,” written by Cochise College instructor Jay Treiber. The discussion is Nov. 21, 11 a.m. – noon, in the Horace Steele Room in the Sierra Vista Campus Library Building.
