Guy Talk is looking for several group facilitators to work with high school freshman

Guy Talk is looking for several group facilitators to work with high school freshman boys in Pima, Cochise and Santa Cruz counties, delivering curricula focused on giving teenagers the skills and knowledge they need for successful futures. Guy Talk is a 5-week program for teenage boys intended to educate and create an open environment to discuss topics such as masculinity, healthy relationships, health knowledge, sexual activity and choices, and constructing positive futures.  Facilitators have the opportunity to affect young lives and connect with some amazing young men!

In general terms, here is what the job is like:
  • Facilitate workshops either during the school day or afterschool for the 5-week series (up to 4 hours weekly including set-up, clean-up and reporting)*
  • Conduct these groups once a week or up to 5 days a week
  • Attend monthly program staff meetings throughout the year (2 hours in the evening or on Saturday)
  • Attend two full-day trainings and one refresher training each year
*Workshops are planned to occur once in the Spring and once in the Fall which is a total of 10 weeks for the year.  Facilitators may also be asked to conduct workshops over Winter and Summer Break, depending on the needs of the community.
