Work may cause delays on SR 260, SR 277 in eastern Arizona
Surface repairs scheduled near Pinetop-Lakeside, Snowflake


Drivers in the area of Pinetop-Lakeside and Snowflake in eastern Arizona should anticipate delays next week as Arizona Department of Transportation crews make repairs to the road surface.

On Monday (Aug. 1), crews will work on a two-mile section of State Route 260 on the west side of Pinetop-Lakeside, milepost 349-351. Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction in that area.

A pilot car will assist drivers to get past the work zone east of McNary, mileposts 358-361, on Tuesday (Aug. 2).
Wednesday (Aug. 3), a lane closure is planned for a nearly six-mile section of SR 260 between mileposts 342-348.

Work will shift to State Route 277 west of Snowflake on Thursday (Aug. 4) and Friday (Aug. 5). Road resurfacing is scheduled for a two-mile segment between mileposts 334 - 336, west of the junction with State Route 77. A pilot care will assist drivers to get past the work zone.

Drivers are reminded to slow down in work zones and give workers as much room as the can safely allow.
ADOT works to inform the public about planned roadway restrictions, but there is a possibility that unscheduled closures or restrictions may occur. Weather can also affect a work schedule.
