Brief closure of eastbound I-10 Sunday night for oversize load

The Arizona Department of Transportation will briefly close eastbound Interstate 10 at the junction with State Route 90 in Cochise County overnight Sunday, Nov. 27 to allow an oversize truck to travel west on the eastbound lanes between State Route 80 and SR 90.

Eastbound I-10 will be closed sometime after 10 p.m. Sunday and reopened after approximately 30 minutes once the truck has moved onto SR 90 using the eastbound on-ramp at Exit 302.

While ADOT expects the truck to exit I-10 by 11 p.m. Sunday, the operation could begin anytime between 10 p.m. Sunday and 2 a.m. Monday, Nov. 28.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area during these hours, if possible, or expect possible delays.

ADOT works to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but it’s possible that unscheduled closures or restrictions might occur because of weather or other factors. For the most current information about highway closures and restrictions statewide, visit ADOT’s Travel Information Site at www.az511.gov, follow us on Twitter (@ArizonaDOT) or call 511, except while driving.
