Eastbound US 60 (Superstition Freeway) will have overnight closures from Feb. 14-17 Crews are making various improvements along the freeway


Overnight improvement work will close sections of the US 60 this week for crews to remove graffiti and to install traffic control sensors. Drivers are advised to allow extra travel time and consider alternate routes while the following freeway closures are in place.
·Eastbound US 60 will be closed from 10 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, to 5 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, between McClintock Drive and Loop 101 for graffiti removal work. DETOUR: Consider exiting the freeway ahead of the closure and using eastbound Baseline Road or Southern Avenue before returning to US 60 at Dobson Road.
·Eastbound US 60 closed from 9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, to 5 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, between Gilbert Road and Val Vista Drive for traffic-flow detector installation. Eastbound US 60 on-ramps at Mesa and Stapley drives are also closed. DETOUR: Consider exiting eastbound US 60 ahead of closure and using Baseline Road or Southern Avenue to Val Vista Drive.
·Eastbound US 60 closed from 9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, to 5 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at Val Vista Drive for traffic-flow sensor installation. Eastbound US 60 on-ramps at Stapley Drive and Gilbert Road are also closed. DETOUR: Eastbound US 60 traffic will detour along the off- and on-ramps at Val Vista Drive. Consider exiting ahead of closure and using local routes.
Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
