Local outlets reported that Enrique Iglesias and J Balvin were also in attendance. In March 2016, Telemundo's Suelta la Sopa caught Nicky arriving at Miami International Airport with Cruz. "Yes, she's my lady," he replied. "We've been together for a little over a year." Once the host asked him if he had any plans for formalizing the relationship with a wedding, the rapper quickly said not to pressure him and that it should be "whatever God wants." Hours before the ceremony, the singer shared videos of himself while getting ready with family and friends. Diesel went live on Facebook with Nicky and spoke about the wedding. After announcing in November that their 3-year-old son, Noah Buble, was undergoing treatment for cancer in the U.S., the couple gave E! News an update on his development Friday. "We are so grateful to report that our son Noah has been progressing well during his treatment and the doctors are very optimistic about the future for our little boy," the couple, who wed in 2011 and also have a 1-year-old son, Elias Buble, said. "He has been brave throughout and we continue to be inspired by his courage. We thank God for the strength he has given all of us." "Our gratitude to his doctors and caretakers cannot be put into words. We'd also like to thank the thousands of people that have sent their prayers and good wishes to us," Michael and Luisana said. His parents will speak when they want to do so.' The 44-year-old actress recounted her bad day to her 339,000 Instagram followers -- explaining just what happened in the caption of a tearful Boomerang shot. The troubles started off when Blair made a visit to the gas station and accidentally left without removing the gas pump from her car's tank. "I drove away from a gas pump with the nozzle still in," she said. "And then I paid for the broken pump so that was over a 500 dollar tank of gas." Feeling "awful for being so absent minded," Blair then "burst into tears in front of barista after ordering and made everyone uncomfortable." She was upset too, after animal rights activists criticized her for wearing a fur-trimmed red coat in Los Angeles on Thursday -- fur she said wasn't real. "I was chastised for wearing fur but that was weird cause it was teddy bear fur," she wrote. On top of all of that, Blair said she "ran out of dog food. And Excedrin." At the time of her post, Blair said she was "still crying." "My head is still pounding," she added. "Can I have someone say this will pass?" Blair has had her ups and downs over the years -- but none of her tough times grabbed as much attention as her outburst on an airplane in June 2016. She was removed from her return flight from Cancun, Mexico, to Los Angeles while traveling with her son Arthur, now 5, and his father -- and rushed to the hospital, having had a meltdown on the plane that she later referred to as a "total psychotic blackout." On Jan. 17, the actress told PEOPLE she was "doing great" now. "It's a regrettable thing," Blair said. "Mistakes happen." The incident was attributed to a combination of prescription drugs and alcohol. And while Blair says she takes full responsibility for the episode, the actress and her family have all moved on from the unfortunate event. "I'm recovered, and my family is fully recovered," she said, calling the plane incident an "embarrassing situation." "We're doing great," she continued. "I'm doing great, I'm taking care of myself. David Beckham's rep is setting the record straight about shocking claims made about the soccer stud and his charity work. Several tabloid reports said leaked emails from the star to his aides indicated that his humanitarian efforts were made in a bid to boost his public image and ultimately obtain a knighthood, a top Royal honor, in his native England. "This story is based on outdated material taken out of context from hacked and doctored private emails from a third party server and gives a deliberately inaccurate picture," Beckham's rep said in a statement to E! News Saturday. The soccer star is a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and founder of the 7 Fund that supports the organization. In 2003, Queen Elizabeth II honored him with an Order of the British Empire (OBE), which is less prestigious than a Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire (KBE). "David Beckham and UNICEF have had a powerful partnership in support of children for over 15 years," his rep said. "The David Beckham 7 Fund specifically has raised millions of pounds and helped millions of vulnerable children around the world. David Beckham has given significant time and energy and has made personal financial donations to the 7 Fund and this commitment will continue long term." According to the docs, Morena's been sending Chick more than $20k monthly as a temporary support deal until they hammer out a permanent agreement. She says that's screwing her over, because she'll likely end up paying way less when the case is finalized. She says she's also pissed he's made no effort to get a j-o-b of his own. Kate Middleton Competes Against Prince William and Prince Harry in Charity Race. On your marks...get set...and the Royals are off! Kate Middleton, husband Prince William and his brother Prince Harry competed against each other in a 50-meter (164-foot) race at a charity event Sunday. The trio headed to the London Marathon Community Track at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London to join 150 volunteers of the Heads Together umbrella charity who are training for the 2017 London Marathon. The three Royals have long supported the group, which aims to end stigmas about mental health. Harry came in first place, while William placed second and Kate came in last. The Royal couple exchanged a sweet embrace after the race. Kate sported a red puffer jacket, black pants and black sneakers and tied her hair in a ponytail. William wore a navy sweater over a white collared shirt, navy and white sneakers and olive chinos while his brother sported a navy puffer jacket, dark blue chinos and olive sneakers. Heads Together is the Charity of the Year for the London Marathon. "Their Royal Highnesses are championing the #HeadsTogether campaign to urge people to talk about mental health," Kensington Palace tweeted Sunday. The Royals have advocated for mental health awareness for years and had helped promote a Heads Together campaign last year as well, in partnership with several charities. "They are passionate about tackling the stigma surrounding the issue," Kensington Palace said in a statement in 2016. "Too often, they have seen that people feel afraid to admit that they are struggling with their mental health. Reynolds had promoted a humorous and spirited "For Your Consideration" campaign for his action-comedy film, Deadpool, during this recent award season. Also in attendance was Amber Rose, who brought her 3-year-old son Sebastian Thomaz, and Jordana Brewster, who posed for photos with her little man, Julian Form-Brewster. Both toddlers channeled their inner Batman by wearing his famous mask as they walked the red carpet with their proud moms. Sebastian, who amber co-parents with ex Wiz Khalifa nailed his premiere look in a flannel button up and leather jacket. Julian kept it casual in light denim jeans and a grey T-shirt. The 35-year-old proud mom and her first child joined main weather anchor Al Roker at a New England Patriots rally in Boston. Dreyer, who initially wore a Tom Brady mask, is a longtime fan of the team, which will take on the Atlanta Falcons at Super Bowl LI this Sunday. At the rally, she, Roker and Calvin all wore Patriots gear, while the baby also sported orange hearing protection headphones. "I will say, since Calvin's been around, the Patriots are 5-0," Dreyer said on the program Friday, holding her son as he sucked on his hand. "So we're assuming he's a Patriots fan?" Roker asked her. Mariah Carey used the music video for her song "I Don't" to send a heated message to her ex-fiance, Australian billionaire businessman James Packer -- by setting fire to the wedding dress she never wore. In the video, the singer is seen dancing around the $250,000 Valentino gown, which she had shown off on an episode of her -- reality show "Mariah's World," as it burns. TMZ reported that the video was shot at the Calabasas, Calif., home Carey and Packer shared before breaking up last October, shortly before the couple's Bora Bora wedding ceremony was set to take place. The song contains the lyrics: "I'm tired of cryin', no more tears, pity party of the year." But the party didn't last too long. Carey is now reportedly dating one of her backup dancers, Bryan Tanaka. The Packer union would have Mariah's third. At her first wedding, to former Sony Music boss Tommy Mottola, Carey wore a $25,000 Vera Wang dress that was reportedly inspired by Princess Diana's bridal gown. The couple lasted for four years until they split in 1997. President Trump's one-time mistress and ex-wife Marla Maples was set to publish a memoir about their relationship -- but the project got shelved just before the election. The book, "It's About Time," due to be published by Judith Regan, was sunk by various problems -- mainly Trump himself -- we're told. A publishing industry source tells us that Trump put an abrupt end to the memoir when he declined to give his approval to the tome. Another bookworm says that an agreement that Maples -- who famously said Trump was "the best sex I've ever had" -- made as part of their divorce settlement meant that she couldn't deliver a manuscript that was as juicy as the one she promised. We're told Regan -- who infamously attempted to print O.J. Simpson's "If I Did It" memoir -- bought the book for her Regan Arts imprint while Trump was campaigning. After Maples and a ghost writer cranked out some chapters, lawyers became concerned the notoriously litigious president-to-be would sue -- and wouldn't sign off on it unless Maples secured approval from her former husband. Predictably, Trump declined to sign on the dotted line. The buzz at the restaurant is that Don Jr. has been shipping food to DC on friends' private jets for the president, who is famously fussy about his food. Anyone who thinks they can vandalize Donald Trump's Palm Beach estate because the prosecutor in town is a Democrat better think again. Vandalism is clearly an issue. Someone already destroyed Trump's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and the sign at the Trump National Golf Course in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. Dave Aronberg, the State Attorney who handles Palm Beach prosecutions, tells TMZ Trump's political leanings have no bearing on his decision to prosecute vandalism cases. Aronberg is ensconced in the Democratic Party, but says his job is to follow the law, and that is what he will do. Aronberg says there's no room for political statements when it comes to vandalism. If anyone vandalizes Mar-a-Lago they will be treated just like anyone else that commits a crime. (TMZ)

She's made housing arrangements out in the desert for her guest stars, and we're told both knew well in advance that Beyonce's. One of the performers is from the Roc Nation roster. The other is from a different label, but still close to Bey. Our sources say the guests have blocked off their schedules for the gig and there's no going back now. Directed by Elgort's brother, Warren Elgort, (awkward?), the video features Ansolo and his love about to have sex, taking intimate showers and baths and plenty of abs to make you swoon -- if you weren't already. After premiering on Radio Disney Thursday, Walt Disney Records made Ariana Grande and John Legend's rendition of the Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson classic available on iTunes. When fans pre-order the motion picture soundtrack, "Beauty and the Beast" will be instantly downloaded. The musicians sing the pop version of the song, while Emma Thompson sings the theatrical version. (Similarly, Angela Lansbury -- the first Mrs. Potts -- sang the film version in 1991.) The original "Beauty and the Beast" won an Academy Award, a Grammy Award and a Golden Globe. "Stepping into the shoes of an Oscar- and Grammy Award-winning classic is not small potatoes," producer Ron Fair said in a statement. "But with today's two greatest singers -- John Legend and Ariana Grande -- we are bringing the song back with a new school/old school fresh treatment that shows the soulfulness and power of what a great melody and lyric can inspire." Dave Meyers will direct Grande and Legend's "Beauty and the Beast" music video. The first snippet of Beauty and the Beast's title track debuted when the third and final trailer debuted during an episode of ABC's The Bachelor Monday. Bey has not told the folks who produce the festival whether she'll be able to headline during the April event. It's unclear how far along she is in her pregnancy, but it seems 4 to 5 months would not be an unreasonable guess, which would mean she could be at least 6 months pregnant when she's scheduled to perform. Sources connected with the festival, along with several huge 2016 performers, tell us Beyonce was set to make north of $1 mil for her two-night performance. If Beyonce's pregnancy makes performing in April too risky, she could still collect her fee under a very common insurance policy written for entertainers. According to one such policy, obtained by TMZ, the insurance company will pay the fee of a sidelined singer for "incapacity" ... which our lawyers say typically includes complications from a high-risk pregnancy. Bey would need a rock solid doctor's note though. Y'know how insurance companies LOVE writing big checks. (TMZ)

Maluma becomes the youngest artist to make chart-topping history. At just 23 years old, Maluma is making history in the music industry, simultaneously holding the number one and number two spots on Billboard's Latin Airplay chart with "Sin Contrato" and "Chantaje," featuring Shakira. The Colombian artist is the sixth singer to reach this milestone, in addition to being the youngest to achieve it, dethroning Selena, who at age 24 achieved this record, in 1995. The other singers who have made their way up to the first two places on that list before Maluma are: Alejandro Fernández in 1998, Juanes in 2008, Juan Luis Guerra in 2010, and Pitbull in 2011. Maluma, who faced criticism last year for his song "Cuatro babies," also debuted on the Billboard charts at an early age. At the age of 22, he reached the number one spot of Billboard's Latin Airplay with his first song "Borro cassette," which stayed in its top spot for three weeks. It seems that an important key to his success is that the singer has released chart-topping hits in collaboration with big stars-"El perdedor" (with Yandel), "Vente pa'cá" (with Ricky Martin), "Chantaje" (with Shakira), "Sin contrato" (with Fifth Harmony for one version and with Don Omar and Wisin for another)-and all have reached the top of that famed list. The Band Perry has completed their transition from country to pop with the release of "Stay in the Dark," the first release from the new album My Bad Imagination. The trio dropped "Stay In The Dark," a lively piece of power-pop, at midnight. "Who knows what we're missing/It's our world, it's our business/Here I am I'm with you on a mission/We got tunnel vision/Lately, things been getting so crazy/Feeling like my heart hates me," sings Kimberly Perry. Earlier on Thursday, the band confirmed they've been hard at work on their very first pop LP. "We've made an album for you," the announcement reads. Coldplay Support Refugee Rescue Charity in Fundraising Short Film. Coldplay debuted a short film promoting the work of refugee aid agency Migrant Offshore Aid Station (MOAS) featuring an a cappella version of "Don't Panic" on Thursday (Feb. 2). The band pledged to be a long-term patron for MOAS, which is credited with saving an estimated 33,000 refugees and migrants fleeing persecution and war in the Middle East with search and rescue missions in the Mediterranean and Aegean seas, according to The Guardian. "Every year, MOAS rescue thousands of people who risk death at sea while searching for a better life. But for an accident of geography, those people could be us and we could be them. For this reason, we're proud to support Moas' life-saving work," says singer Chris Martin. The majority of the refugees saved by MOAS over the past two years -- often saved from overcrowded, unsafe rubber dinghies -- were from Afghanistan, Syria and Iraq. The latter two countries were among those included on the list of nations on President Trump's recent temporary 90-day ban on immigration from seven Muslim-majority nations; the controversial order also blocks any refugees from entering the U.S. for 120 days, including those from war-ravaged Syria, who are indefinitely barred. According to the UN Migration Agency, 5,079 refugees and migrants drowned while trying to cross the Mediterranean last year, a number some experts think might be an underestimate. In the short fundraising film, Martin sings "Don't Panic" over footage of a recent water rescue. MOAS founder Regina Catrambone told the Guardian the band believed it was important to release the film in light of recent political developments. "We are very grateful for Coldplay for believing so strongly in our cause," she said. "MOAS is a young organization that in a few years has managed to make a significant difference in mitigating one of the most heart-breaking humanitarian tragedies of our era. However, there is still so much to be done. Coldplay's support will allow our work to reach the hearts of a wider audience worldwide." The film depicts a chilling nighttime rescue of migrant families crowded onto a boat to the sounds of the Coldplay song, highlighted by Martin's unadorned voice singing "we live in a beautiful world, yeah we do, yeah we do," as the words "no one deserves to die at sea" and "the people MOAS rescue are just like us" flash on the screen. The Super Bowl is the biggest game of the year, so it makes sense that a film that is all about spectacle is part of it. Michael Bay's Transformers: The Last Knight showed off more robots in disguise Friday, with the spot dropping two days ahead of the big game. The fifth installment stars Mark Wahlberg and Sir Anthony Hopkins. "You want to know don't you, why they keep coming here, to Earth," says Hopkins' character, Sir Edmund Burton. Actually, yeah, that's a great question. After the ad airs during Sunday's Super Bowl, an extended, 50-second spot will be posted online. Paramount is releasing Transformers: The Last Knight on June 23. (Hollywood Reporter)

Should Anakin Skywalker Return in 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi'? Perhaps a Force ghost could be Hayden Christensen's redemption. This will be a controversial opinion, but hear it out: Hayden Christensen should return as Anakin Skywalker for Star Wars: The Last Jedi. At least, that's the argument writer and critic Chris Hartwell lays out in a new video essay, which chronicles how the return could actually enhance the current trilogy -- even for those most opposed to the prequels. After all, it's now canon that yes, Christensen and not original Star Wars: Episode VI -- Return of the Jedi actor Sebastian Shaw, is the definitive Anakin Force ghost thanks to some tinkering from George Lucas. Here are a few of his main points (but watch the video at the bottom of the post for the full effect). -- The Force Awakens establishes that Anakin's story is not yet done, thanks to Kylo Ren's obsession with his grandfather Darth Vader. It makes sense that at some point, Kylo Ren should learn that Darth Vader turned back to the light before his death. -- Obi-Wan and Yoda called out to Rey during her vision, establishing that Force Ghosts are still are around. Logically, Anakin's should be around too. -- Christensen would likely fare better under an actor's director (Rian Johnson) rather than an admittedly technical director like George Lucas. "The prequels were divisive and Hayden Christensen's Anakin was panned by many, but in light of the larger story being told, his return was always necessary," Hartwell tells Heat Vision. Santa Barbara Film Fest: Denzel Washington, on Campaign Trail for 'Fences,' Charms. The star bantered with audience members; broke out his Malcolm X impression; and said, in reference to his two Oscars and their new "SAG friend": "I will admit it, I did go into my library today and talk to them, I did." "I appreciate your support for what I've done and I say thank you, in advance, for your support of what I'm about to do," said Denzel Washington as he accepted the Santa Barbara International Film Festival's Maltin Modern Master Award on Friday night. The 62-year-old's remarks came after a two-hour conversation about his career with veteran film critic Leonard Maltin and a short but sweet tribute from his Fences co-stars Stephen McKinley Henderson and Saniyya Sidney, whom he also directed in the film. The 2,018-seat Arlington Theatre was jam-packed for Washington's visit, which came less than a week after he won the best actor SAG Award, the last 13 winners of which went on to win the corresponding Oscar. If that happens for Washington, it will make him only the third man ever to accumulate three acting Oscars; no man ever has won more. When he took the stage following an impressive montage of clips from throughout his 35-year film career, he received a massive standing ovation. Washington mentioned that he had just come from a visit with the first black man to win an acting Oscar, Sidney Poitier, whereupon Maltin asked Washington if he had felt a burden, as Poitier apparently had, to play honorable men on screen. "It doesn't appear so," Washington said, cracking himself up as he referred to some clips that just had run of him gunning people down and the like. He maintained similar good cheer throughout the proceedings, during which he bantered with audience members; broke out his Malcolm X impression from 1992's Malcolm X; and said, in reference to his two Oscars and their new "SAG friend": "I will admit it, I did go into my library today and talk to them, I did." "I hadn't seen those clips in 20 or 30 years," Washington remarked of the carefully curated scenes of his work that Maltin cued up every so often, and which Washington seemed to enjoy watching as much as audience members. After the Malcolm X clip, he noted that director Spike Lee, with whom he has collaborated numerous times, "could see further than I could" about his potential. And after a clip of 1993's Philadelphia, he asked of its director, "Where is Jonathan Demme?" (Maltin reassured him that Demme still is working.) It was clear that Washington's two great passions in life, at the moment, are the works of the late playwright August Wilson, which Wilson's widow has placed in his care and which he will bring to the screen as a producer ("To be asked to take care of his work is an honor"); and his family, specifically his wife and four grown children ("They're all in the business, two in front of the camera and two behind"). Sidney and Henderson closed out the proceedings with remarks that clearly touched Washington. Sidney called it "a gift" to be able to work with him, while Henderson said, "I had three dreams in my life, and I got to realize all three of them. The first was to meet Muhammad Ali. Edie Falco Joins Law & Order: True Crime -- The Menendez Murders. Edie Falco is returning to TV. The Sopranos and Nurse Jackie star is the first person to join the cast of Law & Order: True Crime -- The Menendez Murders, NBC's new series about Lyle and Erik Menendez, brothers convicted of killing their parents. Falco will play defense attorney Leslie Abramson in the first installment of Dick Wolf's new anthology series. "I've known Edie for more than two decades," Wolf said in a statement. "Our working relationship started when she was among an elite group of actors who made multiple appearances as defense attorneys on Law & Order in the early '90s. Edie was at the top of that list. She did a fabulous job on Law & Order and, as Leslie Abramson, will knock the role out of the park." This is Falco's first regular network series work since Nurse Jackie ended. She appeared in Louis C.K.'s Horace and Pete and can be seen in The Comedian opposite Robert De Niro on the big screen now. Falco has won four Emmys and is the only actress to win an Emmy for Best Actress in a Comedy and Best Actress in a Drama. "Edie's past iconic roles cement her place among the highest caliber of actresses working today and we couldn't be happier that someone of her stature will be joining our upcoming Menendez series," Jennifer Salke, president of NBC Entertainment, said in a statement. "We know she will do a remarkable job portraying the complexities of defense attorney Leslie Abramson and the issues that made her such a compelling figure." Law & Order: True Crime -- The Menendez Murders follows Lyle and Erik, who were convicted in the 1996 murder of their parents and sentenced to life imprisonment. They were 21 and 18 years old at the time and were tried separately. Two trials resulted in hung juries, a third found them guilty. Falco's character represented the brothers through the three trials and claimed they had suffered a lifetime of abuse from their parents, Jose and Kitty Menendez. Rene Balcer will write and executive produce the series with Wolf, Peter Jankowksi and Arthur W. Forney. Season one, which will be eight episodes, does not have a premiere date. (Eonline)

New Walking Dead Teaser Promises a Midseason Return Full of... Hope?! After a first half of season seven that began with the gruesome deaths of two fan fave characters and continued apace with an unrelenting misery, you'd be forgiven for expecting The Walking Dead to return this month to finish out its run with the same pervasive sense of helplessness. But, as it turns out, that expectation might be all wrong. In a new promo for the midseason premiere, we're given a glimpse into the growing anti-Negan resistance as it's being spearheaded by the formerly resigned Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), and as the stars and producers describe this second half of the season, a word is uttered that hasn't been associated with the post-apocalyptic zombie series in quite some time: Hope. "You see that hope that we maybe, just might, can," Danai Gurira explained. "You're seeing people in a whole new place of strategizing, but really against magnificent odds." "They still don't have the weapons. They don't have the manpower," EP Gale Ann Hurd reminded. "But they've got the will." They may have the will, but they've still got to find the way. "It is a very different fight," Sonequa Martin-Green -- the newly-named star of CBS All Access' Star Trek: Discovery -- teased. "It can't be won with just physical force." Of course, just because Rick and his crew have decided to put up a fight, that doesn't mean it'll be easy. "What we're building toward the end of seven is Rick trying to re-emerge and find himself again, and Negan is still there with a big smile on his face, waiting," Jeffrey Dean Morgan warned. "So, you know, we're getting to a breaking point." After the dramatic departure of Tamron Hall from "Today," TV insiders are buzzing that Megyn Kelly could next unseat Savannah Guthrie as the star co-anchor with Matt Lauer. Multiple sources tell Page Six that Kelly is likely to take the lead role on the NBC morning show with Lauer when she starts in September. Guthrie, who recently signed a new long-term deal with "Today," could be bumped to another role or even take over Hall's 9 a.m. slot, we're told. "NBC is not paying Megyn $12 to $15 million a year to be on at 9 a.m. The word is that Savannah could take the 9 a.m. slot and Megyn will go right in at 7 a.m. Andy Lack is completely behind all of this," a source told us, adding, "There's no way Megyn would have signed with NBC unless she was promised a big role down the line." Guthrie is currently out on maternity leave and sources told Page Six she has been kept in the dark about what Kelly's role will be. "If you're Savannah, you're looking over your shoulder every minute. The first time Savannah is out, Megyn will fill in, sitting next to Matt Lauer and NBC will go to great lengths to capitalize on it. It doesn't make sense to pay Megyn that kind of money unless she's on at 7 a.m.," another source said. But NBC execs insist they will not be swapping out Guthrie for Kelly. Meanwhile, the National Association of Black Journalists is accusing the network of "whitewashing" after they bumped Al Roker and Hall's 9 a.m show for Kelly. "NBC has been a leader for diversity in broadcasting, but recent reports that Hall and Roker will be replaced by former Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly are being seen by industry professionals as whitewashing," the organization wrote in a letter to NBC. NABJ has demanded a meeting with NBC chiefs. Hall exited the show on Wednesday without an on-air goodbye after turning down millions to stay. Chef Ben Robinson, a fan -- favorite from the hit Bravo reality show "Below Deck" and its spinoff "Below Deck: Mediterranean," has walked the plank. We're told that contract negotiations with Robinson -- the only cast member to appear on all four seasons, plus the spinoff -- had been in rough waters for the last couple of seasons. Talks finally ran aground and he won't return for Season 5. Robinson recently launched his own YouTube cooking show with his former castmate Emily Warburton-Adams. Reps had no comment. (Page Six)

'Handmaid's Tale' Super Bowl Spot Delves Deeper Into Drama's Totalitarian Society. The ad is the first big-game commercial for Hulu. Hulu is getting in the game. The streamer released its Super Bowl ad for The Handmaid's Tale on Friday, marking its first game-day spot for an original series. The 30-second teaser for the highly anticipated adaption provides a deeper look into the disturbing life of the "handmaids" at the center of the dystopian drama, first previewed when the first-look teaser landed last month. The 10-episode series (which releases April 25) is based on Margaret Atwood's 1985 novel of the same name and is set set in a future society where rampant fertility issues have prompted a caste system where healthy women -- known as the "handmaids" -- are forced into sexual slavery for the wealthy. The series is technically categorized as "speculative fiction." Elisabeth Moss, Samira Wiley, Alexis Bledel, Ann Dowd, Joseph Fiennes and Yvonne Strahovski round out the cast in what is likely Hulu's most ambitious original offering to date. Every Hollywood studio, except for Warner Bros., will be airing spots for their upcoming tentpoles, including Transformers: The Last Knight and Ghost in the Shell on Sunday (the game kicks off at 6:30 p.m. ET on Fox). TV Ratings: 'Superior Donuts' Leads Thursday Premieres. NBC's 'Powerless' pulls a smaller sampling, while CBS' 'Training Day' trails. It was an atypically eventful Thursday evening for the first week of February. Three new shows launched on the broadcast networks, two of them comedies going head-to-head. No surprise here: the leader of the pack was the one that got a lead-in from Thursday king The Big Bang Theory. After the night's highest-rated and most-watched telecast, CBS freshman Superior Donuts got off to a decent start with a 1.9 rating among adults 18-49 and 10.6 million viewers. That puts it in the upper echelon of comedy premieres this season, behind only Kevin Can Wait and The Mick. Superior Donuts' arrival on CBS is one of particular interest, as the Jermaine Fowler vehicle has the distinction of being the network's only current comedy with a non-white lead. (The network's relative lack of on-screen diversity, at least on the tops of call sheets, has been a source of continued criticism for CBS.) Superior Donuts premiered against NBC's Powerless -- TV's latest comic book property, albeit the first in a half-hour format. Airing after Superstore, the sitcom earned a 1.1 rating among adults 18-49 and 3.1 million viewers. It was a softer lead-in, to say the least, with Superstore earning a 1.2 demo rating against The Big Bang Theory's 3.1 rating. The night's weakest entry, at least by Nielsen's live-plus-same day measurement, was CBS' spin on Training Day. The Oscar-winning film found its way to serialized TV, 16 years later and with a different cast, earning a 0.9 rating among adults 18-49 and 4.7 million viewers. That was after steady episodes of Mom (1.6 adults) and Life in Pieces (1.3 adults). ABC was also all-new for the night, airing Grey's Anatomy to the tune of a 2.3 rating among adults 18-49 -- followed by Scandal (1.8 adults) and How to Get Away With Murder (1.3 adults). All three were down a shade from their winter returns the previous week. After NBC's comedies, the network had even new outings for Chicago Med (1.2 adults) and The Blacklist (0.9 adults). Hell's Kitchen wrapped its latest season on Fox with a 1.1 rating among adults 18-49, while My Kitchen Rules came in at a 0.7 rating. And, on the CW, the second episode of freshman entry Riverdale earned a 0.4 rating among adults 18-49 -- reasonably steady with last week's premiere after an even Supernatural (0.6 adults).
