Firebolt Youth Triathlon will be held at Veteran's Memorial Park

On Saturday, April 15, Firebolt Youth Triathlon will be held at Veteran's

Memorial Park and the Cove. The event is a USAT Sanctioned Swim, Bike, Run

event for kids ages 5-18 years old. It will consist of (5-10-year-olds) 50

yd swim, 3-mile bike, .5 mile run and (11-18-year-olds) 150 yd swim, 6-mile

bike, 1-mile run. Awards will be presented to age group winners and overall

winners as well as teams. The goal of the Thunderbolt is to provide an

opportunity for kids to engage in the sport of triathlon, have fun and be a

part of something great. Participants will be timed and receive an overall

time at the finish. They will also receive a t-shirt, finisher's award, and

glory for them and their family. Participate as an individual or part of a

team (as a swimmer, cyclist or runner). The cost is $30 for the triathlon

and $18 for the relay, plus sign-up fee. Prices increase after Feb 14th.
