Work will require overnight closure of the southbound off-ramp at Coldwater Canyon Road, Thursday, Feb. 16

Arizona Department of Transportation crews will resume paving at Coldwater Canyon Road (Exit 244) from 6:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16 as part of an ongoing 13-mile repaving project on I-17 between New River Road and Black Canyon City.

The work will require the closure of the southbound off-ramp and a lane restriction on Coldwater Canyon Road over I-17 during work hours.  Drivers will be guided through the work zone with flaggers.

ADOT began work over the summer on northbound and southbound I-17 between New River Road and Black Canyon City (mileposts 232 to 244). The project includes minor bridge repair on 13 bridge structures and repaving the roadway.

Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.

ADOT works to inform the public about planned highway restrictions and closures, but it’s possible that unscheduled impacts may occur because of weather or other factors. For the most current information about highway conditions statewide, visit ADOT’s Traveler Information Site at www.az511.gov, follow ADOT on Twitter (@ArizonaDOT) or call 511,except while driving.
