March 13-16: Sacramento Wash Bridge installation in Topock will require a 96-hour road closure I-40 motorists will be detoured through Needles

Mohave County, in partnership with the Federal Highway Administration and the Arizona Department of Transportation is preparing to construct a Prefabricated Bridge Element (PBE) on Oatman Highway along Route 66 over the Sacramento Wash in Topock, one mile north of Interstate 40.

WHAT TO EXPECT
During bridge installation, a 96-hour full road closure will be in effect on Interstate 40 at Exit 1 from 12:01 a.m. Monday, March 13 through 12:01 a.m. Thursday, March 16.
Motorists will be detoured 24 miles through Needles, Calif.
Detour signs will be clearly marked.

Mohave County received a $1 million FHWA Accelerated Innovation Deployment Discretionary Grant toward the $1.8 million project. The bridge will provide an approximate 110-foot clear span that will pass the two-year, 30-minute storm event.
