Ciara Gives Birth! Singer Welcomes Baby Girl Sienna Princess With Russell Wilson. It's baby time in the Wilson household! Ciara has given birth to her first child with husband Russell Wilson. The proud mama posted the following Instagram announcing the name of her baby girl: "Dear Sienna Princess Wilson. No matter how big the wave, we will always be your calm in the storm. We love you. Love, Mommy and Daddy. 7:03 p.m., 7 lbs. 13 oz." E! News has learned that the family is doing well. The little bundle of joy is the R&B singer's second child, as she gave birth to her son Future Zahir Wilburn back in May 2014. The Grammy winner has been documenting her pregnancy on Instagram ever since she and her NFL hubby announced the exciting family news back in October of last year on Ciara's birthday. At the time, the songstress wrote, "On this special birthday I received an abundance of love from friends and family...and I'm excited to finally share one of the greatest gifts of all that god could give." Wilson posted a sweet image on his own Instagram and wrote, "The greatest blessing of all. Forever grateful." Without a doubt, Ciara and Russell have been happier than ever since tying the knot back in July of last year in front of several friends and family at the Peckforton Castle in England. In fact, Ciara recently gushed to E! News about how blissful the first year of marriage has been. "Married life is the best life. It's definitely life-changing, and you do feel a difference between the stages of being boyfriend and girlfriend to being engaged to actually being married," she explained to us. "You feel the definition of what 'being one' is, and it's really cool. Nothing compares to what this feels like." We're guessing nothing compares to welcoming a newborn into the happy family either! Congratulations to the Wilsons on their little one's arrival. (Eonline)

Oscar Isaac Is a Father! Star Wars Actor Welcomes First Child With Elvira Lind. To say it's an exciting time for Oscar Isaac would be a major understatement. The Star Wars actor has welcomed his first child into the world with girlfriend Elvira Lind, who took to social media to make the exciting announcement. Sharing a video on Twitter while cradling her little one, the filmmaker shared her profound appreciation for the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival regarding her project Bobbi Jene, which won multiple awards, including best documentary feature. "Thank you to the Tribeca Film Festival and thank you to the jury," she said. "I'm beyond words. It's amazing. If I could, I would be dancing, I'd be jumping up and down, probably all week long. Thank you, thank you, thank you." The tweet that accompanied the post read, "Wohooo - Three Awards for Bobbi Jene and greeting by Elvira Lind with newborn baby #Tribeca2017 @Tribeca #BobbiJene." And while the extremely private duo has kept both their relationship and Elvira's pregnancy out of the public eye for the most part, Oscar was noticeably absent from several press events for The Promise as well as Star Wars. Elvira and Oscar first went public with their romance back at the Golden Globe Awards in 2016 when they walked the red carpet together. Then, that same evening, the new couple caught everyone's attention when the actor leaned in to kiss his girlfriend before accepting an award for his memorable work in Show Me a Hero. But despite winning awards and being cast in one of the most successful movie franchises of all-time, Oscar previously admitted that taking the role of Poe Dameron was a daunting one, no matter how much J. J. Abrams calmed his nerves. "It was hard. I actually felt the most green and insecure than I had in a long time. I was like, 'What am I doing here?' There was not a lot of room to shade in the character," he told GQ. "It felt weird and like I was not being creative. I would get nervous I wasn't finding enough or I was missing an opportunity." But by the looks of the Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer, we're guessing everything went smoothly on set, despite Oscar's fears. Now that the film is done, and the trailer was just released, we're guessing Oscar has a lot more time on his hands to focus on his biggest role yet: fatherhood! (Eonline)

The Flash Star Grant Gustin Is Engaged to Longtime Girlfriend LA Thoma. Grant Gustin is officially off the market! The Flash star took to Instagram on Saturday with one special announcement: He's engaged to longtime love LA Thoma! It looks as if the CW actor popped the question during a recent beach date with Thoma, who is pictured beaming from ear to ear while showing off her stunning engagement bling. No caption necessary on this one (that ring speaks for itself!), but it took no time at all for fans and friends to offer the pair congratulatory messages. Grant and LA have shared the exciting news with those closest to them, and one pal shared a photo of the duo FaceTiming soon after she said, "Yes!" to marrying the onscreen super hero. "DOUBLE INSTA FOR LOVE!!!!!!!! My heart is exploding!!" Leela Rothenberg captioned the moment. "I LOVE LOVE." Gustin has kept much of his relationship with the stunning brunette under wraps, aside from plenty of lovey-dovey photos on each other's respective social media feeds, of course! From date nights to weekend getaways and spending time with friends, there's no doubt about it: Grant and LA are the real deal. Congratulations, you two! The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on the CW. SNL's Aidy Bryant Is Engaged to Conner O'Malley: I Thought His Proposal Was a Joke. Aidy Bryant has been sitting on a secret for six months. The Saturday Night Live standout got engaged to Conner O'Malley, a former writer for Late Night With Seth Meyers, in October 2016 -- but Bryant didn't share the news publicly until Thursday when she appeared on Seth Meyers' show as a replacement for a canceled guest. In January, Glamour tagged along with Bryant as Tanya Taylor fitted her for a dress for an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers -- and a few fans noticed she had some new bling. Flashing her engagement ring Thursday, Bryant shared the story of O'Malley's proposal. "We've been together a long time; we've been together almost nine years. So, a lot of the shimmer and shine has faded and we're just living every damn day as best we can," she joked. "We've seen each other through a lot. Like, he used to work as a full-blown garbage man -- not a joke, just a garbage man. I used to sweep up hair in a barber shop. I mean, we've like been through it." "So, one night I came home from 'pitch' at SNL. You ever heard of it?" she teased the former head writer. "So, I pitched to Lin-Manuel Miranda and then when I got home I had my purse and our mail and all these boxes, and I walked to our door and our dog had a bowtie on. I was like, 'My dog doesn't wear a bowtie! Where is he going tonight?' Basically, the second I shut the door, a man -- who I discovered was Conner -- frantically came around the corner and was just like, 'Willyoumarryme?!' No box. No 'I love you.' No fance. Just a man in full terror standing very far from a dog in a bowtie, just holding a loose ring going, 'Willyoumarryme?!' I was like, 'What?!' I truly couldn't comprehend what was happening, and I kept saying, 'Is this a joke? Are you doing a joke?' And then I said, 'Of course I'll marry you. I love you.' And it was really nice." After Bryant realized that O'Malley was in fact serious, she asked him, "Why did you do this?" "He was like, 'Well, you always said that you wanted it to happen in our house if it ever happened.' I was like, 'That's true; I wanted it to be private,'" the bride-to-be said. "He was like, 'But I also knew you probably wanted to be wearing a bra and have makeup on, so I knew I had to do it after you just got home from work -- otherwise it would never be another moment.'" Bryant, who had Meyers in stitches, then joked, "It's about a 40-second window before I get in the door and I rip off my mask and become a woman on the couch -- so he did the right thing!" The actress did not reveal when she and O'Malley plan to tie the knot. (Eonline)

Jennifer Garner Dating: Reese Witherspoon Playing Matchmaker, Setting Up Blind Dates. Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Garner run in the same circles, but the latest report from Life & Style Magazine claims that Reese is also playing matchmaker for Jennifer and trying to find her a new boyfriend. Life & Style's source explains, "Reese loves to play matchmaker, and she's on the hunt to find Jen a new man. She's already planning to host dinner parties for Jen just so she can meet potential suitors." Given Reese Witherspoon's own experience with a contentious divorce and dating after said divorce, she likely relates to Jennifer's situation-and the source says as much, adding that because Reese settled down with agent Jim Toth after her divorce from a big movie star, she's advising Jennifer to do the same. As it's explained, "Reese advised Jen to go for a guy who works behind the scenes rather than another big star whose ego could get in the way of their relationship." Unlike Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner did not have affairs with anybody during her marriage, even if her marriage was crumbling for the better part of the past three years. A big part of that was that Jennifer truly was head over heels in love with Ben, and probably tried her best to make a reconciliation work-even if her (now ex) husband had too many issues to ever truly put in the past. However, that means that it's been years since Jennifer Garner has gone on a date, and the dating scene-especially in Hollywood-has completely changed since she's been single. It's probably smart to take the advice of a 'matchmaker', especially when it's a close friend who has your best interests at heart. The report also claims that Reese is already planning dinner dates for Jennifer with other eligible bachelors in Hollywood, likely agents and managers and other behind-the-scenes power brokers. Don't be surprised if two months from now, word leaks that Jennifer is already dating someone new; when Reese is on the scene, things move fast. (Celebrity Laundry)

Freddie Prinze Jr. Reveals the Secret to His Successful Marriage With Sarah Michelle Gellar. Freddie Prinze Jr. is pretty clear about why his 15-year marriage with Sarah Michelle Gellar has been so "cool and groovy," as he described it. E! News caught up with the actor who brought us back to the beginnings of their relationship way back when they were filming I Know What You Did Last Summer in 1997. "We were just friends. That's one of the reasons I think our relationship has always been so good," he admitted. "We were just friends for a good two years before we ever went on a date. She knew what kind of guy I was. She knew what my morals were, what my priorities were and visa versa. We already kind of knew all the faults in the other person." He continued, "We ended up being the perfect balance. But it didn't happen until years after and there was a solid foundation built, and that's probably the main reason why we've always been cool and groovy." The other secret? Laughter! "As long as they can make you laugh, laughter lasts forever," he noted. "If you just think she's hot or she just think your hot, you're in a lot of trouble when you're 60!" But other than being a great hubby, Prinze is also a doting daddy, too! The couple shares two children together, Charlotte Grace Prinze, 7, and Rocky James Prinze, 4. "For me being a father, not having a dad, it makes it my No.1 priority," he explained. His own father passed away a year after he was born. "So when my daughter was born, that was pretty much it for me. I became a full-time father. It's not a job. It's what I love to do." He can't help but laugh over how different his two children are, too. He says he can have a "very reasonable" conversation with his daughter, but when it comes to Rocky, "I have to give him a weapon in order for him to do anything!" In fact, his kids are the reason he teamed up with Palmolive to help clean up his messy recipes -- aka "messipes." As you may know, Freddie has a cookbook of his own title, Back to the Kitchen. "I made a recipe book that most recipes are nine ingredients or less so that you have more time to spend time with your family," he told us. "Palmolive approached me so that we are both saving time cooking and cleaning, and I let my kids get involved. I get my son to cleanup by filling a squirt gun with water and cleaning up. But when he runs out of things to clean up you become the target." LOL! Although his title is basically Super Dad at this point, we can't forget how he got his start in the acting world -- with his break out role beside Gellar in I Know What You Did Last Summer. It Finally Happened! Southern Charm's Craig Conover Just Passed the Bar Exam. Craig Conover is one step closer to becoming a lawyer. After much anticipation -- and plenty of curiosity from co-stars -- the Southern Charm star has passed the bar exam. Craig's longtime girlfriend Naomie Olindo was happy to confirm the news on her Instagram stories Friday afternoon. "The face of someone who passed the war," Naomie captioned the photo as her man held up a bottle of champagne while grinning from ear to ear. The announcement comes just a couple of weeks after Craig opened up to Bravo about the all-important exam that has become quite the storyline on the hit reality show. "I took [the bar] back in February and if I don't pass this time then I take it again in July and then I'll find out on Halloween," he recently told The Daily Dish. "I was happy with my preparation, so I didn't want to walk out of there and be like, 'Damn if you just studied for one more week, you would have known that answer.' ... I either destroyed it or I didn't do very well." In many episodes of Southern Charm, cast members including Shep Rose voiced concerns about Craig's progress in becoming a lawyer. During last season's reunion, however, Craig promised host Andy Cohen that in one year, things will look very different. "Hopefully," he shared with his cast when asked if he could be a lawyer. "I finally get a chance to try." For fans wondering what Craig hopes to do as he takes one big step forward to accomplishing his career dreams, we may have an idea. "If I'm in Haiti getting kids that have been adopted to their families because the government hasn't released them for a year for some reason, I could be almost like a superman contractor," he shared with Bravo. "Like if someone really needs me, I can go help those good causes one by one. But there's so many different topics and categories and individual cases that I would want to help that I have no idea how to explain what the next step is. But basically the next step is having the ability to walk into the courtroom." Congratulations Craig! Southern Charm airs Monday nights at 9 p.m. on Bravo. (Eonline)

Carmelo Anthony "Trying Not to Lose His Family" as La La Anthony Debates What's Next for Their Relationship. Carmelo Anthony and La La Anthony are in communication less than two weeks after calling it quits. A source confirms to E! News that the famous pair hasn't gone completely silent on each other. At the same time, it's far too soon to tell if this pair has a chance at reconciling. "He wants to make it work and is trying not to lose his family," a source shared with E! News. "La La is the one that has all the control now and Carmelo is giving her whatever she needs but he is fighting for her hard and he knows he messed up big time." While there are conflicting reports surrounding whether or not the athlete impregnated another woman, sources around Carmelo insists to E! News that "there is no truth to the pregnancy report." Since news of the split broke, La La has received plenty of support from her famous friends. And while some of her fans may have a strong opinion on what should happen next, our source says that the best-selling author is still undecided about how she should proceed. "La La loves Carmelo and may not go through with the separation after all, but she is still unsure and on the fence because of what happened," our insider shared. "She is hurt and she just needs time to deal with this." The source added, "Her family is the most important thing to her but her dignity and pride is as well at this point in the game." While the couple has not commented on their status since the split, Carmelo raised some eyebrows earlier in the week when he liked one of La La's Instagram photos. Could it be a sign of reconciliation or just a simple double-tap? Time will only tell. La La and Carmelo tied the knot back in July 2010 after a five-year engagement. They welcomed one child together during their relationship who is now 10 years old. (Eonline)

Vanderpump Rules Stars Scheana Marie and Mike Shay Are Officially Divorced. Scheana Marie and Mike Shay's relationship has officially come to an end. TMZ is reporting that the Vanderpump Rules stars' divorce was finalized this week. According to the outlet, Scheana has to pay her ex-husband close to $50,000 to balance out their assets. Back in November, the couple filed for divorce after less than two years of marriage. "While we have made the difficult decision to move forward separately, our story will continue on through the love and mutual respect that we have cultivated throughout our 15-year friendship," the couple said in a statement. "We might have failed at our marriage, but we are committed to succeeding as friends and will continue to support each other's personal happiness and professional success." Although things may have started on a united front, viewers couldn't help but observe the tension when the couple got divorced on camera. In addition, the Vanderpump Rules reunion included several disagreements of what ultimately caused the split. "There were a lot of things from the beginning of our marriage that kind of tainted the whole relationship," Scheana shared with E! News' Will Marfuggi. "I had never considered getting a divorce whatsoever, because I took our vows very seriously. This was the 'for worse' part. I just thought that we would be able to get through it, because he was still my best friend. We had so much fun together." Back in February, E! News confirmed that Scheana was giving love another chance when she started dating actor Robert Valletta. "Scheana wasn't looking for anything; she just got out of a marriage. But things happened and this feels right," an insider shared with E! News. "They're seeing where it goes, but are really enjoying each other's company." Looking to the future, Mike is focused on his music career and group titled Dat Dope Group. As for Scheana, she has closure in a romance that didn't have the fairy tale ending she first imagined. "I have my closure," she told us. "I've clearly moved on. I'm in a very good place, and I feel like I've never been happier." (Eonline)

Moving forward, Shannen is feeling grateful for being a "cancer slayer." At the same time, she knows that some more steps will still need to be taken regarding her health. "In the meantime, decisions. Reconstruction which is several surgeries. Decision on taking a pill for the next five years that comes with its own set of problems and side effects," she concluded Friday evening. "I am blessed, I know that. But for now.... remission. I'm going to just breathe. #cancerslayer." (Eonline)

Facts of Life Star Charlotte Rae Diagnosed With Bone Cancer at 91. Charlotte Rae is fighting another battle. The Facts of Life star reveals to People that she has been diagnosed with bone cancer at the age of 91. "Last Monday, I found out I have bone cancer," Rae tells the magazine. "About seven years ago, I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer -- which is a miracle that they found it because usually it's too late. My mother, sister and my uncle died of pancreatic cancer. After six months of chemotherapy, I was cancer-free. I lost my hair, but I had beautiful wigs. Nobody even knew." Rae, who was known for playing Edna Garrett on Different Strokes and The Facts of Life, says her age plays a role in making the difficult decision to receive treatment or not. "So now, at the age of 91, I have to make up my mind. I'm not in any pain right now. I'm feeling so terrific and so glad to be above ground," she explains. "Now I have to figure out whether I want to go have treatment again to opt for life. I love life. I've had a wonderful one already. I have this decision to make." Rae was supposed to begin treatment last Thursday but canceled at the last minute. "I wanted to think about it first," she says. "I think I'm going to go for it. The side effects were not too bad when I did it originally. I've had a great life, but I have so many wonderful things happening. I'd like to choose life. I'm grateful for the life I've already had." The actress released a memoir in 2015 that went into detail about her 44 years of sobriety, her oldest son's death and discovering her husband was bisexual. Despite her many ups and downs, Rae maintains a positive attitude. "At 91, every day is a birthday," she says. "[In my book] I want to tell everybody to celebrate every day, to savor the day and be good to yourself, love yourself, and then you can be good to others and be of service to others." Get well soon, Charlotte Ray! (Eonline)

DMX is getting help at a rehab facility ... TMZ has learned ... on the heels of postponing concert dates. Sources connected with DMX tell us he checked himself in Thursday night at a treatment center in Southern California. We're told X went voluntarily, but his manager, Pat Gallo, and ex-wife, Tashera Simmons, had encouraged the move. The rapper has been to rehab before while battling substance abuse issues for years. As we first reported, X had to cancel 3 shows this week due to what his rep called a "medical emergency." We're told he flew to Cali to get help because he felt he was "moving to a dark place" and wanted to make sure he stayed on the right path. Sources at DMX's show in Brooklyn last week tell us he was drinking heavily beforehand. In a statement, Gallo apologized to X's fans for the postponed shows, and says, "It is important right now that he take some time off to focus on his health so that he can be a better father, friend and entertainer." He added, "We are eternally grateful for the outpouring of concern and support that has poured in. We ask that you please keep X in your prayers as he embraces your support." (TMZ)

Machine Gun Kelly is down for the count with broken bones in his chest ... an injury he suffered while shooting a movie last week. MGK's rep tells TMZ ... he has a contusion and hairline fracture of the sternum (breastbone), and that's why he's had to reschedule the first 3 stops on his tour. Kelly announced the postponements Thursday night on social media, but kept quiet about the injury. As we reported ... Kelly struggled through a show last weekend in Florida, even walking off stage at one point. Although he finished the show, it was obvious he was in a ton of pain. Bad timing for the rapper ... his new album, "Bloom," comes out next month ... however, the rep says he's expected to make a full recovery, and Kelly will make up the tour dates. BTW, the movie he was filming is called "Captive State." We're guessing he'll use a stunt man for any reshoots. (TMZ)

Michael Mantenuto jumped from playing an American hero in a movie to being one in real life -- fighting ISIS with the Green Berets during his final year in the Army. Michael played Jack O'Callahan in Disney's "Miracle" before leaving Hollywood to join the Army in 2010. We did some digging and found out he was deployed last year for Operation Inherent Resolve ... which took on ISIS in Iraq and Syria. As we reported ... 35-year-old Michael committed suicide earlier this week. The coroner in Des Moines, WA says he shot himself while sitting in his car. Sources close to Michael tell us he was different when he returned from action -- "Something happened over there. He saw something." The actor-turned-soldier excelled in the military. He was a Communications Sergeant with the elite 1st Special Forces Group -- the Green Berets -- and earned several commendations including the Achievement Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters and a Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. The Army is running its own investigation into Sgt. Mantenuto's death. (TMZ)

"Grey's Anatomy" star Jesse Williams' divorce from his wife Aryn Drake-Lee, who supported him for years when he was a struggling actor, is because he now "wants to be the hot single guy in Hollywood," friends say. Sources told us Drake-Lee -- who has worked in real estate and the art world -- was his rock and the main breadwinner until Williams scored his big role on "Grey's Anatomy" in 2009. They've been together for 13 years, married in 2012, and have two children. Williams' rise in Hollywood is to blame for the actor's change of heart about his marriage, friends believe. "She poured money into this relationship and sacrificed her life for him, and now he wants to go out and be the hot single Hollywood guy. Jesse wants to .?.?. do whatever he thinks will make him a bigger star. He's drinking his own Kool-Aid and it's 'the Jesse show.' He's dead f?-?-?king wrong. He did not respect those vows. He wants to be single," the source said. Williams has been linked to Derek Jeter's ex Minka Kelly, who he was photographed with in France, and friends tell us he is "currently seeing Minka." But another source close to Williams insists, "They're working on a video game with quite a few other people." The source added that when Williams and Drake-Lee moved to LA for "Grey's Anatomy," he became the breadwinner. "It all evened out. He was taking care of her." Drake-Lee was often dogged in the media for not looking like a Hollywood starlet when she was photographed with him. "When you hear people saying, 'Why aren't you with someone hotter or with this actress?' I'm sure that placed a strain on their relationship," the first source said, adding that Williams will try to portray the divorce as amicable. "It's bulls?-?-?t .?.?. They're going to paint a picture like he's been separated for a very long time, but the truth is that he left her." Williams was silent when recently asked about Minka. He instead turned his back to the cameras to reveal a jacket that read: "Don't Believe the Hype." A rep for Williams would not comment. Drake-Lee could not be reached. (Page Six)

Jesse Williams and his estranged wife are carrying on the recent tradition of civilized divorces, for the sake of their kids. Sources close to Williams tell us ... he and Aryn Drake-Lee have been co-parenting their young son and daughter for months since officially separating. Jesse moved out of the family house several weeks ago but he's maintained regular contact with their children. There was a lapse when Jesse recently completed a video game in Paris but that aside, he's been in L.A. filming "Grey's Anatomy." He sees his kids a few times every week. Most important ... we're told Aryn has been more than accommodating. Sources close to Aryn tell us Jesse still has a lot of his belongings at their house ... and has come and gone as he pleases, so in a way he's moved but he hasn't. As we reported ... Jesse is seeking joint custody of their 3-year-old and 1-year-old. Aryn has not filed a response to the divorce. (TMZ)

Stephen Belafonte gave the LAPD an audiotape in which you hear a woman -- whom he says is his baby mama -- try and extort him for a million bucks, and TMZ has obtained the audio. Belafonte claims the woman on the phone is Nicole Contrereas. They were together for 6 years and have a 12-year-old daughter named Giselle. Contreras tells us she's not the woman on the tape. You hear the woman in the call -- recorded March 20 -- tell Belafonte, "I'm gonna take you down" unless he pays her $500,000. She later ups the demand to $1 million. She says Mel B's people asked her to tell her story, which says is "so ugly." The woman, who sounds intoxicated, refers to Giselle and monthly payments Belafonte deposits in her account. She rambles on, saying she will "bury" Belafonte. The LAPD has the audio and is conducting an extortion investigation. Nicole tells us, "This audio is clearly not me. Stephen is falsifying stories because I have told the press the truth." (TMZ)

Police Obtain Search Warrant as Chris Soules Investigation Continues. The investigation continues regarding Chris Soules as he faces criminal charges for leaving the scene of his fatal car accident earlier this week. E! News can confirm Iowa's Buchanan County authorities have requested a search warrant regarding the investigation. TMZ reports the warrant is for the red Chevy that drove Soules home from the scene on Monday night. However, we've obtained the documents which state that the cause for the warrant as well as the response will remain sealed. A judge signed off on the sealed search warrant records, stating, "All affidavits, attachments, endorsement, inventories and the return of the warrant are sealed and shall not be open without order from the court, because public disclosure of facts could jeopardize the investigation, infringe in rights of person involved, and impede the administration of justice." Meanwhile, Soules rear-ended a tractor driving near his hometown in Iowa on Monday night, killing the man who was driving the tractor, Kenneth Mosher. Soules now faces criminal charges for leaving the scene of an accident and has hired a high-powered legal team from Des Moines to represent him. The team has filed to have all information regarding the investigation remain sealed due to the high publicity surrounding Soules and the accident. The attorneys said in a statement they "are confident that once all the evidence is made public, it will show Soules acted reasonably and did everything in his power to provide aid to Mr. Mosher." As E! News confirmed, Soules was the one who made the 911 call and took Mosher's pulse before authorities arrived at the scene. "Everyone in this close-knit farming community is mourning Mr. Mosher's passing," the statement continued. "Soules offers his sincere condolences to the Mosher family." (Eonline)

Chris Soules' lawyers are going after the Sheriff's Dept. and prosecutors, clearly trying to establish they're in bed with the media by leaking damaging information about Chris that could affect his right to a fair trial. Lawyers for "The Bachelor" star have just filed legal docs looking to find all contact the Sheriffs, prosecutors and other law enforcement agencies involved in the case had with the media. The lawyers want text messages, emails, electronic log books (presumably this includes cell phone calls), journals and appointments between law enforcement and the media. The docs also ask for any evidence that payment was offered to members of law enforcement for interviews or statements. The lawyers are demanding law enforcement preserve all these records, presumably so they can be inspected. As for why ... several reasons. First, Soules' lawyers have already complained media coverage has tainted the case and inaccurately portrayed their client's actions the night of the fatal crash. There's another reason ... the lawyers may well try and make a case that prosecuting Soules is more about a publicity grab than justice. (TMZ)

The LAPD brass is furious at rapper YG for a song that inspired at least 3 guys to burglarize a number of homes in the L.A. area. Law enforcement sources tell us ... the 3 guys -- 2 of whom are 18 and one 19 -- committed burglaries in the San Fernando Valley recently and were arrested this week after one of the heists. Each guy was interviewed by LAPD detectives and each one told cops they got the idea to burglarize homes by listening to YG's song, "Meet the Flockers." The lyrics certainly sound like a road map. For example... First, you find a house and scope it out Find a Chinese neighborhood, cause they don't believe in bank accounts Second, you find a crew and a driver, someone who ring the doorbell And someone that ain't scared to do what it do Some members of the brass and many LAPD detectives are incensed at YG, saying the song is irresponsible. Some YG fans have created their own music videos of the song, mimicking what would-be burglars should do. (TMZ)

Star and producer Vin Diesel will accept the award on behalf of record-breaking franchise, alongside his co-stars Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson and Jordana Brewster. Additionally, J Balvin, Camila Cabello and Pitbull will take to the stage to perform their hit single "Hey Ma," which is featured in The Fate of the Furious. Hosted by comedian Adam Devine, the telecast will air live on Sunday, May 7, at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. MTV announced the nominees for this year's revamped show earlier this month. Get Out leads the pack with six nominations: Movie of the Year, Best Villain, Best Fight Against the System, Best Actor in a Movie, Next Generation and Best Duo. Beauty and the Beast and Stranger Things received four nominations apiece, while Atlanta, Game of Thrones, Hidden Figures, Logan, Moonlight and This Is Us received three nominations apiece. Fan-favorite categories have been blended to include nominees from film, streaming series and television. New categories include Show of the Year, Best Host, Best Reality Competition, Tearjerker, Next Generation, Best American Story and Best Fight Against the System (a revamped Best Fight). MTV also replaced the former Best Actor and Best Actress categories with non-gendered categories for movies and television. (Eonline)

Celeb Salaries, Then and Now: Kaley Cuoco's $900k Payday Could Have Been Just $1,500 in the '60s. No surprise here: The Big Bang Theory stars Kaley Cuoco, Jim Parsons and Johnny Galecki would have likely made a small fraction of their salaries if it was the '60s. The three currently receive about $900,000 per episode of the CBS sitcom -- down from $1 million. The three, who were deemed the current highest-paid TV actors, had reportedly agreed this year to take a pay cut in exchange for stars Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch to receive raises. In 1961, Dick Van Dyke, then a major TV star, earned about $1,500 per episode -- the equivalent of $12,221, if adjusted for inflation, according to Parade. SNL has also boosted the salaries of its cast members. Stars such as John Belushi, Jane Curtin, Gilda Radner, Dan Aykroyd and Chevy Chase were paid $750 per show -- $3,396 today. Current cast members such as Kenan Thompson, Kate McKinnon, Aidy Bryant and Leslie Jones are paid up to $24,000 per show, based on seniority. The current season has 21 episodes, so that's a more than $500,000 annual salary for some of them. Movie actors still command the largest salaries. Jennifer Lawrence, the highest-earning female star, received $20 million for her role in the recent movie Passengers, while her co-star Chris Pratt received $12 million. In 2012, Lawrence had earned $500,000 for The Hunger Games, the movie that made her more famous. Judy Garland received about $500 per week ($8,763 today) for her role as Dorothy in the iconic 1939 film The Wizard of Oz, the outlet reported. Robert Downey Jr.., the highest-paid actor in 2015, received a whopping $40 million for reprising his role as Iron Man in the 2016 film Captain America: Civil War, while Dwayne Johnson, last year's highest-paid star, will be paid $19 million for his role in the upcoming movie Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Parade said. Clark Gable was paid $117,917 ($2,066,542 today) for playing Rhett Butler in another iconic 1939 film, Gone With the Wind. Speaking of The Hunger Games and Iron Man, in addition to inflation and Hollywood salary trends, successful franchises play a big part in salary boosts. Original Star Wars actors Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill got giant pay raises for reprising their roles in the 2015 film Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The three were paid $1,000 per week ($4,020 today) for their work on the first Star Wars film, Star Wars: Episode IV -- A New Hope, which was released in 1977. They also received 0.25 of the profits from the theatrical release, Parade reported. The movie, which took about a year to film, made more than $775 million worldwide. For Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Ford received between $10 million and $20 million, while Fisher and Hamill were paid between $1 million and $3 million each, Parade said. Franchise newcomers received less; Adam Driver, who played new villain Kylo Ren, was paid between $600,000 and $900,000, while main star Daisy Ridley, who played heroine Rey, and supporting actor John Boyega received between $100,000 and $300,000 each. Oprah Winfrey Has a "Don't You Know Who I Am?" Moment With a Cute Kid. Oprah Winfrey had one of those moments Thursday. You know, the moment when a celebrity pulls out the "Don't you know who I am?" card and things get awkward. But, unlike some stars, the talk show titan was merely being playful after she ran into a staffer's son during "Take Your Kid to Work Day" at OWN headquarters in West Hollywood. "Your dad works here, right?" Winfrey asked the boy. "[For] $10, what's my name?" She's one of the wealthiest and most successful women in the world, but he didn't know that. Winfrey began counting down from 10 as she held the boy's hand and tried to help him along. After five seconds had passed, Winfrey yelled, "Come on! Starts with an O!" Despite her helpful hints, the boy -- too young to remember The Oprah Winfrey Show -- couldn't ID her. "You lost," Winfrey said. "Starts with an O! How many O names are there? C'mon! Ophelia. Oh, my my..." Still, nothing. Zero name recognition. "Oprah!" Winfrey said. To make it resonate, she chanted, "Ohh-prah! Ohh-prah! Ohh-prah!" "That's it," Winfrey said, giving the boy a high-five. The stars of HBO's The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks later shared the video on Instagram, joking, "Hard to impress kids these days..." No kidding. (Eonline)

Lisa Rinna's Fashion Line Is More Than a Trend: How the Real Housewives Star Found Huge Success on QVC. When you turn on QVC, there are a whole lot of items that could tempt shoppers. Cookware from celebrity chefs like Rachael Ray are always a hot seller. Items for the home from Property Brothers Drew and Jonathan Scott are alluring especially late into the evening. There's also Lisa Rinna's clothing brand titled the Lisa Rinna Collection that has quietly been making waves in the fashion community. It all started back in 2011 when QVC came out to visit Lisa's two boutiques in Southern California. "They looked at all of my clothes and the vibe of the store -- kind of cozy, comfy, California chic vibe -- and they loved it and we decided to go into business," Lisa explained to E! News exclusively. "I've always wanted to get into home shopping. I don't know why, but I always thought it would be a great way to reach all sizes of women and everybody." Five years after her very first live show in West Chester, Pennsylvania, the fashion designer has become one of the biggest names on QVC. This Sunday night, Lisa will celebrate her anniversary with a special two-hour broadcast live from her private home in Beverly Hills. It's a celebration that has arrived after plenty of hard work and impressive sales that have exceeded many people's expectations. According to QVC, Lisa's line has sold over 1.4 million items and experienced five different Today's Special Values. Her first TSV was a Printed Top that sold out in less than 10 hours with over 64,000 orders placed. Her most recent TSV this past March was a banded bottom knit crop pant that sold an impressive 119,000 units in less than 24 hours. "It's awe-inspiring to be honest with you. It's hard to fathom that I could ever sell 100,000 pairs of pants. At my store, I'd be lucky if I sold five pants in a day so to sell 120,000 pants in not even a 24-hour period is awe-inspiring. It means that we've done something right and the customer loves it," Lisa explained to us. "I'm so proud of that. These women that are buying are savvy. They know what they like. They know authenticity and non-authenticity when they hear it and see it so I just feel really proud that they'll take a chance and that they love what they are seeing." Live TV has also proven to be a huge asset for Lisa. According to Rachel Ungaro, who serves as Vice President of Merchandising for QVC, the designer's genuine passion shines when she is in front of the camera. "Every show with Lisa is fun, exciting and unpredictable! That's what our customers love about her," Rachel explained. "Her energy and passion comes through in everything that she does and she makes you have a good time along with her." Lisa would later admit, "I try to have fun out there and I try to make it more of a party with the hosts, models, myself. It's a team effort. It's not just myself." While Lisa is staying mum on the surprises viewers can expect Sunday night when she opens up her home to QVC, the designer assures fans that there is so much more to come with her collection. As she continues to focus on her apparel brand, Lisa hopes to branch out with shoes, accessories, beauty and even a few lifestyle items. "The sky is the limit. That's the way I look at it. The business is doubling and tripling and it's growing so quickly. It's just been so exciting," she shared with us. "I will continue to bring them fabulous fabrication and great pieces that will continue to update their wardrobe and make them feel fabulous." Shop the Lisa Rinna Collection anytime on QVC's website. And watch her special two-hour show Sunday night at 7 p.m. EST/4 p.m. PST on QVC. (Eonline)

News at The Wall premiere, the WWE Superstars dished all about their recent engagement at WrestleMania 33 and the wedding planning process. So, what's John's role in the big preparation? "I'm kind of in charge of the budget, so we're keeping everything on dollar," he admitted. "But I just want the event to be fun. I really want the event to be fun." The 40-year-old actor, who was notoriously resistant to the idea of marriage, then explained how his future wife ultimately changed his mind. "I know how important the day is to her, and that's not to say that it's not important to me, it's very important to me," he continued, addressing Nikki, "But I want it to be something that you'll remember for the rest of your life." Billie Lourd and Taylor Lautner Are Too Cute While ''Trying to Fit In'' at Stagecoach Festival. Yeehaw! Getting in the cowboy way, Billie Lourd and Taylor Lautner are a little bit country and a little bit rock and roll at the Stagecoach Festival in Indio, Calif. Earlier Saturday, the too-cute couple took to their respective Instagrams to share their honky tonk love while at the fun-filled country fest. Billie captioned the photo she shared, "#countrystrong #justtryingtofitin." For the dusty desert bash, Billie wore a matching midriff top and skirt, a pair of Vans and her hair in braids. While her cowpoke got in the spirit of things with a cowboy hat, jeans short and some Converse. Taylor posted his own quirky video of the two of them holding hands and jumping off a palm tree, along with the caption, "Droppin into #stagecoach like..." Stagecoach, which is the biggest country music in the world, is held at the Empire Polo Fields, the same place where Coachella went down the last two weekends. Meanwhile, the two, who played love interests on Scream Queens, have never commented on the nature of their relationship, but they've blasted their love all over social media, which is basically an unofficial confirmation in this day and age. A little history about their romance: the two first sparked real-love romance rumors in early December after co-star Keke Palmer posted a photo of the two making out on Snapchat. In February, the two got snugly on Instagram, posting photos in matching lamb onesies while celebrating Taylor's 25th birthday. In March, the actors showed that their romance was in full bloom when they stopped by the super bloom at the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve. Earlier this month, the lovebirds were spotted frolicking and kissing in the ocean during a vacation to St. Barts. The pair packed on the PDA while on their Caribbean vacay. It appears as though Billie has found some joy with Taylor after the December 2016 deaths of her mother Carrie Fisher and grandmother Debbie Reynolds. (Eonline)

They can't describe my emotions when our daughters were born. They can't describe the warmth in my heart when we hug. They can't describe the joy when you make me laugh. They can't describe how strong I feel when you hold my hand. They can't describe how much I love loving you. Thank you for giving me a lifetime of experiences that I can't describe with words. Happy Birthday my babe!!" (Eonline)

Paris Jackson is giving her followers some advice about Netflix's controversial show, 13 Reasons Why. The model and actress, 19, came across a now-viral Tumblr post (it has nearly 95,000 notes on Tumblr) warning away potential viewers from the show, claiming it "was incredibly irresponsibly handled and puts people in very real danger." Jackson, who revealed to Rolling Stone in January that she had attempted suicide "multiple times," wrote her own opinion on the show in an Instagram post Thursday, saying, "This is really important to spread towards people that are struggling with depression or anxiety, self-harm, and or suicidal thoughts." "This show was an amazing way to get the message across to bullies that they need to stop doing what they are doing," Jackson continued. "It really did a good job of showing how impactful words and actions can be to other human beings. you can't just do or say things to people without thinking about how it will affect them." Despite the ways it could be helpful in addressing topics such as rape, suicide and, bullying, Jackson addressed the negative affects watching tough scenes on the show could have for viewers, writing, "it is also an extremely triggering thing to watch." "[P]lease only watch this show with caution and keep in mind that it may put you in a dark place," she added. "If you are struggling please don't watch it. If you think you can handle it, please by all means check it out." The Star actress suffered through deeply difficult times since the death of her father, superstar Michael Jackson, in 2009. "It was just self-hatred," she told the magazine about her suicide attempts. "Low self-esteem, thinking that I couldn't do anything right, not thinking I was worthy of living anymore." She also revealed she was suffering from low self-esteem, and opened up about being sexually assaulted at the age of 14 by Adding to her depression and inner turmoil, Jackson says that she was sexually assaulted by a significantly older "complete stranger," declining to give "too many details." Jackson declined to give any other interviews following her cover of Rolling Stone, but a source close to her told PEOPLE, "Paris is doing great. She's been working to hone her creative passions for the past few years and is excited to be building a platform to share those in a more public forum." "She's not just another celebrity spawn yearning to create a spotlight of her own, and people will be surprised by her genuine talent," the source continued. "She's very passionate about helping to create a better world and improving the lives of those facing struggles, and by sharing her creative talents with the world, she knows she will be able to create a larger platform to help others and spread her activism." Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino Sounds Off on His Brother Coming Out as Gay: "I Celebrated!" Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino's first family therapy session had a huge revelation. Frank Jr. "Maximo" Sorrentino, The Situation's older brother, revealed he came out as gay to his family last year during the premiere episode of WE tv's Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars Family Edition on Friday. And while Marc Sorrentino seemed to possibly have an issue with Maximo's revelation, calling his brother a "frail male," Mike told E! News he has no problem with his brother's sexuality. "The first time that he had come out of the closet, I bought him, like, a plaque, Mike said. "I think it was, like, 'I'm proud you're yourself' or whatever it was. I celebrated the first minute that it happened. I think that deep down inside, he's not comfortable with it himself possibly. As per the family, the family accepted him right away." During the episode, Maximo said he wanted his brothers to understand him and give him the respect he feels he deserves. Mike, however, said he felt Maximo doesn't know who he is, telling him, "You need to know as a man who you are and you don't." (They use his decision to change his name from Frank Jr. to Maximo as an example of him not knowing himself.) Speaking to that point, Mike told E! News, "I want him to be himself, desperately, and from my point of view... sometimes I feel like he goes back and forth sometimes." Mike, who previously appeared on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars with girlfriend Lauren Pesce, is hoping the process works for his brothers. "Me personally, I've been through the therapy process a number of times and believe it works," the 34-year-old Jersey Shore star said. "I wanted my brothers to experience it and have it work for them, too." Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars Family Edition airs Fridays at 9 p.m. on WE tv. (Eonline)

Lamar Odom Selling Gorgeous Florida Home for $5.2 Million. Wanna own Lamar Odom's crib? The former NBA star is selling one of his homes, a more than 8,550-square-foot, six-bedroom, 7.5-bathroom, two-story mansion in Pinecrest, Florida, south of Miami. The asking price is $5.2 million. A source told E! News exclusively that Lamar had recently rented out the house, which was put on the market earlier this week. The home contains a pool with a spa, a tennis court, a basketball court, a fountain, a luxury kitchen with an island and granite counter tops, a massive master suite with a fireplace and windows overlooking the pool and patio, sweeping balconies, media room, high ceilings, marble columns and floors, a built in bar and a formal dining room. Bosco Vega from Douglas Elliman Real Estate is the listing agent. Lamar still pays more than $56,000 in property taxes on the home every year. He bought the property for $2.975 million in 2003, a year after it was built and while he was a player for the Miami Heat. A year later, he was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers, where he spent seven seasons. His NBA career ended in New York in 2014. Following a turbulent past few years, which included a near-fatal drug overdose in 2015, Lamar completed month-long rehab stint in this past January. He was in great spirits in March while walking his first red carpet in years, at the 2017 Kids' Choice Awards, with his teenage daughter and son. "I'm doing great," he told E! News. "Just chilling, relaxing, just here with my kids." (Eonline)

Bella Hadid Distances Herself From Fyre Festival Disaster in Twitter Apology: ''I Feel So Sorry." After promoting the Fyre Festival in its earlier stages, Bella Hadid is doing her best to distance herself from the so-called VIP Coachella of the Bahamas, which quickly turned into "Millennial Armageddon" earlier this week. The supermodel, who didn't actually go to the fest that dissolved in chaos before it ever officially got started, took to Twitter on Saturday to address the failed luxury experience that left concert-goers without food or shelter on an island, once owned by Pablo Escobar. "Hey guys, I just want to address Fyre Festival...Even though this was not my project what so ever, nor was I informed about the production or process of the festival in any shape or form, I do know that it has always been out of great intent and that they truly wanted all of us to have the time of our lives," wrote Hadid in the lengthy note. "I initially trusted this would be an amazing and memorable experience for all of us, which is why I agreed to do one promotion...not knowing about the disaster that was to come," the brunette continued. "I feel so sorry and badly because this is something I couldn't stand by, although of course if I would have known about the outcome, you would have all known too." The Victoria's Secret model also said she hoped everyone who went was okay now. "I hope everyone is safe and back with their loved ones." It sounds a lot like what rapper Ja Rule, who was one of the organizers, said on Friday about the botched fest. The rapper denied the event was a "scam," adding, "I truly apologize as this is NOT MY FAULT... but I'm taking responsibility." Initially, this weekend was supposed to be the inaugural Fyre Festival, intended to be a days-long event created by Ja Rule and tech entrepreneur Billy McFarland. The opulent experience, which had tickets starting around $1,200 and eventually topping six-figure sums, was billed as a "cultural moment created from a blend of music, art and food." The idea behind it was to gather millennials who like the finer things in life to the Islands of Exumas to party down in the most epic of fashions, but instead got stranded without beds and barely had food to eat. "Yesterday was a very challenging day for all of us," Fyre Festival organizers wrote in a statement earlier. "Billy McFarland and Ja Rule started a partnership over a mutual interest in technology, the ocean, and rap music. This unique combination of interests led them to the idea that, through their combined passions, they could create a new type of music festival and experience on a remote island. They simply weren't ready for what happened next, or how big this thing would get." Organizers said the Fyre Festival would take place in 2018 on a beach venue in the United States and that they would add "more seasoned event experts" to help. Meanwhile, those who purchased tickets to this year's event will be refunded and will also received VIP passes to the 2018 festival. Well one thing's for sure, Fyre certainly did make for a memorable festival, one that we can't imagine anyone would ever want to have again... (Eonline)

A Delta pilot smacked a passenger who was fighting with another passenger at the Atlanta airport ... and it was caught on video. We're told the incident went down sometime on April 21. The plane had just landed and the passengers were leaving the jet way when 2 women started fighting. The pilot appears and tries separating the women. He then grabs one of them by the arm and hits her. The pilot walks away as the women are still on the ground. We're told a Delta employee gave a supervisor the video almost immediately after the incident. We're also told some Delta employees were upset because security wasn't called. We reached out to Delta, and a rep tells us the airline is investigating and "taking this very seriously." A rep for Delta tells us ... "We became aware of this incident and a video last week and immediately removed the pilot from duty while we completed a thorough investigation. The pilot has since been returned to work as our investigation found that his actions deescalated an altercation between passengers on the jet way floor during deplaning." We're told the women in the vid had gotten into a skirmish earlier, on the airplane, and they knew each other. They were eventually escorted away by a Delta employee, and as they were walking away, cops showed up. We're told neither of the women wanted to press charges against anyone. (TMZ)

Nicki Minaj, Kanye West and Lil Wayne's music was too much for a modeling agency employee to take around the office, and he says he got fired when he bitched about it. Talent manager Charles Short just sued his ex-employer, The Lions Model Management -- a big deal agency repping the likes of Irina Shayk, Stella Maxwell, Alexis Ren and Jessica Hart. According to docs, music was commonly played loudly around the office. Charles, who's African-American, says he found the repeated use of the n-word in the songs offensive and inappropriate. In the suit, he says he complained once and it stopped briefly, but co-workers mocked him for "hating" rap ... and eventually it started blaring in the office once again. He fired off an angry email to his bosses in March, and was told him he was overreacting. He says execs told him, "Some of the models we represent use the n-word." The next day they told him, "It's best if you don't come in anymore." Charles is suing for discrimination, retaliation and wrongful termination. The agency had no comment. Also, no word on which models are dropping n-bombs. (TMZ)

The Chainsmokers Crash High School Prom: "Your Prom Could Be Next." Surprise! Students of Huntley High School near Chicago were shocked when The Chainsmokers showed up at their prom Saturday and gave a 10-minute performance. Scores of students as well as a teacher posted pics and videos from the event, which took place at a Hyatt Regency hotel. The EDM-pop duo, made up of Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall, also posted a photo of themselves with their new teen friends. "Crashed this prom just now. It was across the street from our arena show, so why not :)," they tweeted. The Chainsmokers performed later in the evening a scheduled concert at Allstate Arena. The Hyatt in question is actually about 2.5 miles away and across several streets, as well as a highway, but hey, they were certainly in the neighborhood. While it was a surprise to most participants, the Chainsmokers' prom appearance was actually planned, with the help of school principal Scott Rowe. "They just kind of came from backstage and just started performing 'Closer.' The kids weren't exactly sure what was going on," he told the Chicago Daily Herald. "About three words in, somebody screamed 'That's The Chainsmokers!' and they just bum-rushed the stage. It says a lot about those guys and how cool they are to their fans." Rowe told the newspaper that two weeks ago, he got a "random phone call" from a filmographer who worked for the duo, who told him, "This is going to be the strangest call you've ever received, but one of your students actually sent an email to the manager of the band." "It was probably the toughest secret I've ever kept, because I knew the kids were going to go crazy for it," Rowe said. "Your prom could be next," The Chainsmokers tweeted. (Eonline)

Jamie Lynn Spears Honors Britney Spears During Surprise Appearance at 2017 Radio Disney Music Awards. It's a family affair... Jamie Lynn Spears surprised fans at the 2017 Radio Disney Music Awards earlier Saturday, when she presented big sis Britney Spears the first-ever Icon Award at the House of Mouse's big show at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. A whopping 23 years after starring as a mouseketeer on The Mickey Mouse Club, the popstar is being honored by the company with the inaugural accolade. The award was created to recognize, "a distinguished artist whose career transcends popular culture and whose music is loved by generations of Radio Disney fans." And it sounds like Radio Disney thought Jamie Lynn was the perfect person to present the icon with the Icon! "Starving" singer Hailee Steinfeld joined the show's hosts Kelsea Ballerini and Sofia Carson to perform a medley of Spears' biggest hits (while wearing Britney-inspired ensembles) in celebration of the pop princess' receiving the inaugural award. At the end of the medley, the former Zoey 101 star ended up joining the trio out to sing "Till the World Ends," according to fan sites. Jamie Lynn appeared to enjoy being in the spotlight, even though has been keeping a low profile in recent months after February's ATV crash left her daughter, Maddie Aldridge, seriously injured. The 8-year-old appears to have made a full recovery, even hitting up Disney World with her aunt in March. Meanwhile, BritBrit and Jamie Lynn weren't the only ones having a ball at the family-friendly awards show. Britney's two sons, Jayden James and Sean Preston, got to spend time with another former Disney darling, Nick Jonas. The proud mama posted the smiling snap of her sons and the "Jealous" crooner, along with the caption, "My boys and @nickjonas woo hoo #RDMA." (Eonline)

Diddy's firing from Uptown Records jump-started his career. Sean "Diddy" Combs' firing from Uptown Records was one of the best things that happened to him, a new documentary reveals. "Can't Stop Won't Stop: A Bad Boy Story" screened at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival on Thursday night. Fyre Festival Is Postponed Amid Reports of "Mass Chaos," "Fighting for Food" at Event's "Refugee Camp." The inaugural Fyre Festival, a luxury event in the Exuma islands in the Bahamas, co-organized by rapper Ja Rule and tech entrepreneur Billy McFarland, has been postponed. Many participants have deemed it a "disaster," citing "mass chaos," including robberies, fights over food at the "refugee camp" event site and difficulties getting a flight back to the United States. Organizers had promised a "cultural moment created from a blend of music, art and food" and the event was promoted by celebs such as Bella Hadid, Emily Ratajkowski and Kendall Jenner, who in January announced on Instagram the festival's first headliners -- artists from G.O.O.D. Music, the record label founded by Kanye West and which includes artists such as Tyga and Big Sean on its roster. Kendall has since deleted the post. "Due to unforeseen and extenuating circumstances, Fyre Festival has been fully postponed," read a message posted on the event's Twitter page Friday. "After assessing the situation this morning and looking at best options for our guests, we cannot move forward as we hoped we could. At this time, we are working tirelessly to get flights scheduled and get all travelers home safely." Tickets for the two-weekend festival ranged from $1,000 to $12,000 and $250,000 group packages were also offered. The tickets included a flight from Miami, a stay in a "geodesic dome" and activities such as jet skiing, snorkeling, yoga and kayaking. It appears the only thing festival-goers got was the flight -- in. "#fyrefestival refugee camp settling in for the night!!! humidity has everyone's belongings SOAKED," he said, alongside a photo of large, white tents. "So Fyre Fest is a complete disaster. Mass chaos. No organization. No one knows where to go," William N. Finley wrote on Twitter. "There are no villas, just a disaster tent city." "This is how Fyre Fest handles luggage. Just drop it out of a shipping container. At night. With no lights. #fyrefestival," he added. "@USEmbassyNassau Help I'm at the #fyrefestival and all my stuff has been stolen. My passport is gone. Wallet gone. What do I do?" tweeted Steven Stubbe from Texas. "My phone dying Please send help 2 festival grounds Its chaos, tents are on fire, people fighting for food #fyrefestival. My phone is dying, please call for me and beg for them to send help. I'm hiding in tent 27." Many said they were stranded at the festival site, where makeshift tents were erected, or at the airport. "Stuck at #fyrefestival trying to leave for the last 8 hours. barley any food or water or security or electricity," Lamaan Gallal, a student at Northeastern Universty in Boston, said on Twitter. "Don't even get me started about the 'site' of the festival. It was designed for terrible things to happen there," Gallal told Business Insider. "The moment we got there and I started to realize all the legal and safety concerns. I got this adrenaline rush that we had to get out." "There was no light for night time. The tents could not be closed and there was no security," Gallal added. "Everyone you spoke to had a different answer and no-one knew who was in charge. The ultimate thing was that there were no chargers or electricity outlets. We couldn't charge our phones and there was barely service." Another person on Reddit said they got kicked out of their tent, while their computer and camera were inside, and that security said people could not return. They also said "one guy got punched out by security and they took his wallet. "There are no police I can go to," the person added. "Holy f--k I am freaking out." "This is insane. We almost played this thing," the band The Knocks tweeted. Blink-182 had canceled scheduled performances at the festival, saying on Twitter Thursday, "We're not confident that we would have what we need to give you the quality of performances we always give our fans." Organizers said in a statement that "Due to circumstances out of our control, the physical infrastructure was not in place on time and we are unable to fulfill on that vision safely and enjoyably for our guests." The Ministry of Tourism said it has sent reps to "assist" with a "safe return of all Fyre Festival visitors," saying that hundreds of them were "met with total disorganization and chaos" and that organizers "did not have the capacity to execute an event of this scale." Ja Rule Says Fyre Festival Was "NOT A SCAM" Following Reports of Chaos. After scores of people deemed the Fyre Festival a "disaster," Ja Rule said it was "NOT A SCAM," apologizing to "everyone who was inconvenienced." The inaugural luxury event in the Exuma islands in the Bahamas, which the rapper had co-organized with tech entrepreneur Billy McFarland, was postponed indefinitely Friday after many participants cited "chaos at the site, detailing robberies, fights over food, "refugee camp"-like sleeping arrangements and difficulties getting a flight back to the United States. "We are working right now on getting everyone off the island SAFE that is my immediate concern... " Ja Rule said on Twitter Friday. "I will make a statement soon I'm heartbroken at this moment my partners and I wanted this to be an amazing event it was NOT A SCAM as everyone is reporting." "I don't know how everything went so left but I'm working to make it right by making sure everyone is refunded... " he added. "I truly apologize as this is NOT MY FAULT... but I'm taking responsibility I'm deeply sorry to everyone who was inconvenienced by this... " Tickets for the two-weekend festival ranged from $1,000 to $12,000 and $250,000 group packages were also offered. Guests were promised a flight from Miami, a stay in a "geodesic dome" and activities such as jet skiing, snorkeling, yoga and kayaking. The lineup was supposed to include the likes of Blink-182, who recently pulled out of the event, as well as artists signed to Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music label. Organizers said in a statement that "Due to circumstances out of our control, the physical infrastructure was not in place on time and we are unable to fulfill on that vision safely and enjoyably for our guests." The Ministry of Tourism said it sent reps to "assist" with a "safe return of all Fyre Festival visitors." (Eonline)

Fyre Festival Organizers Explain Why Event Failed: "We Thought We Were Ready, But Then Everyone Arrived." Why did the inaugural Fyre Festival fail? After paying between $1,000 and $12,000, which included a flight from Miami to the island to Exuma in the Bahamas in addition to a series of concerts, hundreds of participants cited "chaos" at the scene, with some saying they were robbed, had to fight over food and were made to sleep in "refugee camp"-like conditions. Hardly the luxury experience. In a lengthy statement released online Saturday, organizers explain what went wrong. "Yesterday was a very challenging day for all of us," Fyre Festival organizers said. "[Tech entrepreneur] Billy McFarland and Ja Rule started a partnership over a mutual interest in technology, the ocean, and rap music. This unique combination of interests led them to the idea that, through their combined passions, they could create a new type of music festival and experience on a remote island. They simply weren't ready for what happened next, or how big this thing would get." Farland and Ja Rule had commented on the botched festival Friday. The rapper denied the event was a "scam," adding, "I truly apologize as this is NOT MY FAULT... but I'm taking responsibility." The statement said that organizers "decided to literally attempt to build a city" on the site, setting up water and waste management, bringing in an ambulance from New York and chartering plans to shuttle their guests from Miami. "We thought we were ready, but then everyone arrived," the statement said. "The team was overwhelmed. The airport was jam packed. The buses couldn't handle the load. And the wind from rough weather took down half of the tents on the morning our guests were scheduled to arrive. This is an unacceptable guest experience and the Fyre team takes full responsibility for the issues that occurred." They said everyone was concerned for the guests and "built as many tents and beds as fast as possible" for them, but as more people arrived, organizers were "simply in over our heads." They announced Friday that the festival would be postponed because they did not think security was able to handle the situation. The result? Hundreds of stranded guests. "We had no other options, so we began the process of getting guests quickly and safely back to Miami, which continued through the weekend," the statement said. The process was easier said than done, according to eyewitness accounts. Organizers said the Fyre Festival would take place in 2018 on a beach venue in the United States and that they would add "more seasoned event experts" to help. Meanwhile, those who purchased tickets to this year's event will be refunded and will also receive VIP passes to the 2018 festival. "We need to make this right," the statement said. "And once we make this right, then we will put on the dream festival we sought to have since the inception of Fyre." Celebrities such as Bella Hadid and Emily Ratajkowski had promoted the festival earlier this year. Neither attended it. Bella was spotted in Miami Saturday. (Eonline)

Metallica Help Tribute Band Replace Their Equipment After It's Stolen. When a Washington-based Metallica tribute band called Blistered Earth played in Portland on Saturday (April 23), their tour van was robbed and their equipment -- guitars, amps, drums, pedals and all -- was stolen. The band shared the unfortunate news on their Facebook a couple of days later, which immediately resulted in an outpour of support and even coverage by local Oregon news stations. In fact, the story caught so much attention, it was seen by Metallica themselves. And now, thanks to the legendary rockers, the show can go on for Blistered Earth -- Metallica is replacing everything. "Sometimes when bad things happen it really brings out the best in people," Blistered Earth wrote in a Facebook post. "Thanx to the attention you guys helped bring to the matter of our stolen gear & KATU and KOIN in Portland airing the story, James & the rest of the guys in Metallica (thanx guys) have seen fit to replace our equipment." While Metallica has yet to comment about the generous gesture, the band's act of kindness was likely a way for them to pay it forward because they've been in Blistered Earth's shoes. Like the tribute band, Metallica were the victims of an equipment robbery early in their career, as Blistered Earth's drummer Shawn Murphy noted to M.I.R.P. magazine. "They have a firsthand knowledge of how shitty this feels. But, I never thought it would come to this," he said. "It's pretty awesome that they would do that." (Billboard)

The former lead guitarist of Jefferson Starship is furious at other members for jacking the name and tarnishing the rock band's legacy ... according to a new suit. Craig Chaquico claims 2 of this former bandmates and several other musicians are using the Jefferson Starship name, without permission, to land gigs and sell merch. Chaquico says the founding JS members all agreed to retire the name in 1985 ... and move on simply as Starship. But according to docs ... David Freiberg and Donny Baldwin have assumed the Jefferson Starship name with a ragtag group who have no connection to the OG rockers. Chaquico says he did give another founding member, Paul Kantner, the right to use the name for shows, and he did while touring with Freiberg and Baldwin. However, Paul died in 2016, and Craig says the right to use JS died with him. Chaquico wants Freiberg and Baldwin cut off from the name immediately. FYI, Jefferson Starship -- or whatever name they end up with -- has concerts next month in Minnesota and California. Who knew?? (TMZ)

Fyre Festival the Movie? Seth Rogen and the Lonely Island Say They Planned Film About Music Festival Gone Wrong. Hey Seth Rogen, feel like picking out some lottery numbers? The actor and The Lonely Island, the musical comedy trio made up of Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone, may be prophets, as they have revealed on Twitter they had planned to make a movie whose plot sounds like the real-life outcome of the disastrous Fyre Festival. "This seems like a good time to mention the movie we are making with @thelonelyisland about a music festival that goes HORRIBLY WRONG," said Seth, who has starred in and co-written a slew of comedy films about partying, including Superbad, Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising and This Is the End. The latter would be an adequate way to describe what many Fyre Festival attendees felt Friday. Hundreds of people paid up to $12,000 per ticket to fly to the Bahamas for the botched inaugural event, co-produced by Ja Rule, and cited "chaos" at the scene, with people fighting over food, "refugee camp"-like conditions and difficulties getting flights home. The festival was then postponed. "For real, thinking about suing #FyreFestival for stealing our idea," read a tweet posted on the Lonely Island's account. It's unclear whether Seth and the Lonely Island were being serious. No details about such a movie have ever been released. The three, best known for their SNL digital shorts, have worked with Seth before; They had cameos in Neighbors and Seth's 2012 comedy film The Watch. Ja Rule said in a statement Friday that the event was not, as many believed, a "scam" and that the problems were not his fault, although he did apologize for them. Organizers said Saturday that guests would receive full refunds and VIP passes to the 2018 Fyre Festival. "We thought we were ready, but then everyone arrived," the statement said. "The team was overwhelmed. The airport was jam packed. The buses couldn't handle the load. And the wind from rough weather took down half of the tents on the morning our guests were scheduled to arrive. Casting JonBenet Doesn't Solve the Murder of JonBenet Ramsey, But It May Tell You Something About Yourself. Casting JonBenet won't give you the answer to the most popular question associated to the death of JonBenet Ramsey: "Who did it?" Instead, the Netflix documentary might teach you a little bit about yourself. "We knew we wouldn't solve the crime. We did not set out to make a true crime film, we set out to make something about why people are obsessed with this case, about how a crime leaves an imprint on a community and how a community deals with all these unknowns," director Kitty Green told E! News. The death of JonBenet Ramsey is still a pop culture phenomenon. It's been 20 years since the 6-year-old girl was murdered. Casting JonBenet features local actors auditioning for the parts of the Ramsey family, including parents John and Patsy Ramsey. They retell the story and the evidence involved in that fateful night. "I don't think it will be solved in the foreseeable future," Green said. "There's not enough evidence to convict anyone. It's been 20 years and we still have no one who is a key suspect. I don't know how it will be solved, so the challenge is how do we move forward? How do we let this go? It's been the press for 20 years and she's still on the cover of magazines." The case has stayed in the public eye because it's "innately a story about family," Green said. "I think we can all understand that dynamic. There's something personal and universal in all of that," she said. At the end of the day, the flick, which is streaming now on Netflix, "might teach you a little bit about why we're all so obsessed with true crime." "I mean there's all these elements in there. Why we have these fascinations with these cases and can't let them go," Green said. "Definitely there are lots of theories in there about who did it. It's working on a few different levels and it's trying a few different things." Casting JonBenet is now streaming on Netflix. (Eonline)

Dear White People's Creator Explains What Netflix's Racially-Charged Satire Is Really All About. Get ready to get woke. Dear White People has arrived on Netflix, and creator Justin Simien's 10-episode adaptation of his critically-acclaimed 2014 film of the same name has a mission: To spotlight through satire what it's really like to be the "other" in a particular environment. "The show is about a group of black kids at a mostly white college navigating identity and who they really are in this environment where they're not necessarily seen," he explained to E! News. "It really centers around this character Samantha White, who is kind of a shock jock and has this radio show called Dear White People. And all the main characters are divided about whether it's racist or whether it's productive. From that point, we sort of follow, through all of these points of views, what it's like to be one of very few of whatever you are in a particular environment." While Sam (played nimbly by breakout star Logan Browning) may be at the center of the premiere's plot as the students of Winchester University, a fictional Ivy League school, grapple with the fallout of one student organization's horrendous blackface party, Dear White People ably explores several perspectives. It's through meeting Lionel (DeRon Horton), the shy, gay journalist, and Troy (Brandon P. Bell, who also starred in the film), the campus golden boy and son of the Dean, and Reggie (Marque Richardson, also returning), the passionate activist, that the series is able to turn its blistering satirical lens on not just the outwardly racist, but also the superficially liberal, as well as the varied -- and often opposing -- points of view among the black students themselves. In other words, Dear White People is more than those outraged over its provocative title would have you believe. And did we mention the show is really, really funny, too? Because it is. A standout bit of satire in the premiere centers around Sam and her friends gathering to hate-watch Defamation, a primetime soap that's spoofs Shonda Rhimes' Scandal so good it hurts. It's hardly the only bit of pop culture to get lovingly tweaked as the season progresses, and Simien insists they're there for more than just the well-earned laughs. "Listen, it's a satire. It's a comedy. There's no way to talk about black life without discussing what we watch on TV," he said. "The truth is, in a lot of ways, the show is about storytelling and the stories that we tell ourselves, and what our characters are watching is super integral to who they are." That said, he couldn't help but admit that there might have also been a slightly-selfish motive behind the Shondaland spoof. "Honestly, shooting Defamation is just because I never got a chance to shoot Scandal," Simien admitted. "That was probably the most fun I ever had on set." All 10 episodes of Dear White People season one are available to stream on Netflix now. (Eonline)

Roseanne Might Be the Next Show to Return From the Dead. Who's ready to return to Lanford? Two decades after going off the air, multiple reports point to an eight-episode revival of the classic blue-collar comedy Roseanne is in the works with the all the key players attached to reprise their roles. Yes, even John Goodman, despite the last-minute reveal in the original series finale that he'd actually died a season earlier. Per Deadline, the new installment will be produced by original executive producers Roseanne Barr, Tom Werner and Bruce Helford, as well as original cast member Sara Gilbert. With Barr, Goodman and Gilbert attached, and Laurie Metcalf and others in the process of joining them, the limited series has interest from multiple networks, including original home ABC and Netflix, who has never met a beloved series it didn't want to revive. All we have to say is: There better be a new Halloween episode in the works! Running from 1988 to 1997 for nine seasons, Roseanne was hailed for its realistic portrayal of the working class American family. Centered on the Connor family, who was always just scraping by, the comedy went on to 17 Emmy awards throughout its run. Roseanne also starred Michael Fishman, Lecy Goranson, Sarah Chalke, Natalie West, Johnny Galecki and the late Glenn Quinn. No word yet on which Becky will be in the revival. (Chalke famously replaced Goranson during season six, before the latter returned in season eight.) The revival is the latest in a seemingly never-ending stream that's recently seen Fox's The X-Files revival earn a 10-episode second installment, due in the 2017-18 season, as well as Will & Grace spring back to life at NBC for 10 episodes as well, following a warmly received reunion election-themed viral video. Are you looking forward to a Roseanne revival? And will you settle for the new episodes if there isn't a Halloween episode? (Eonline)

13 Reasons Why could be back for a second season. Although critics say it should be axed...Netflix original series 13 Reasons Why divided viewers with its depiction of mental health and graphic suicide scene. But despite the backlash, writers are said to already be working on a second season. Produced by Selena Gomez, the show is based on the New York Times best-selling novel by Jay Asher. It centres around a teenager called Hannah who commits suicide, leaving behind 13 cassette tapes addressed to everyone who she believes contributed to her death. Each one explains why she did it, and it gets pretty brutal. "We don't know what is going to go beyond it, but we know there are so many stories that lie beneath each character," said Selena. "That's why it became a series in the first place. So we'll see." "There's definitely more story to tell," added Katherine Langford, who plays Hannah. "It would be cool to continue the dialogue of this story. There are so many cliffhangers at the end of the season." The controversial show is now the most tweeted about series of 2017. While some think its coverage of teenage suicide, bullying and sexual assault is important, others believe it's dangerous and unnecessary. With so many unanswered questions from plot lines that weren't in the original book, it seems like a second season is inevitable, although we imagine it will be met with plenty of criticism. Megyn Kelly was on the set of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" Thursday ... and it's not hard to connect the dots to figure out what's up. Megyn's jumped from FNC to NBC, where she'll anchor a Sunday night magazine show premiering in June. We're guessing she wasn't doing a cameo on 'KUWTK,' so by the powers of deduction it seems she's interviewing the klan for her new show. If she interviewed Kim about the robbery, Ellen may have stolen her thunder ... Kim talked and cried about it on her talk show this week. The Prez of NBC News went to Russia a few weeks ago and the buzz was that he was trying to score an interview with Putin and Megyn was a contender to ask the questions. No word if Putin's on board, but hey, she got Kim K. (TMZ)

Netflix Greenlights Second German Series, 'Dogs of Berlin'. 'Pandorum' director Christian Alvart will be the showrunner on the cop series, which will premiere on the streaming giant in 2018. Netflix has greenlit its second German-language series, giving a 10-episode order to Dogs of Berlin, a gritty cop show from German director Christian Alvart (Pandorum, Case 39). The series follows a pair of German cops -- one from East Berlin, the other an ethnic Turk -- as they investigate drug cartels, the gambling mafia and neo-Nazi terror groups that rule Berlin's criminal underground. "Dogs of Berlin tells a gripping, modern German story that dives into the Berlin underground," said Erik Barmack, vp, international originals at Netflix. "Christian Alvart is an excellent story teller and has proven his talent for the staging of spectacular thrillers both here and in Hollywood. We're excited to secure him for our second Netflix original that will be written, shot and produced entirely in Germany." In addition to his feature films, Alvart has made a name for himself in Germany as a director of TV cop shows. He has done several episodes of long-running crime series Tatort with German star Til Schweiger that were huge ratings hits. Alvart will write, direct and produce Dogs of Berlin. Dogs of Berlin will be Netflix's second German-language series following Dark, a thriller from Swiss director Baran bo Odar (Who Am I? No System iI Safe). Dogs of Berlin will premiere exclusively on Netflix next year and be available worldwide. (Hollywood Reporter)

Brian Williams called out for 'patronizing' Rachel Maddow. Brian Williams has been rebuked by MSNBC for being "patronizing" to the network's biggest star, Rachel Maddow. After Williams hijacked Maddow's show to break the Syria missile news earlier this month, he turned to her live on air at the end of the segment and said, "Thanks for visiting tonight. Glad you were a part of our coverage." Viewers -- who were already mad that MSNBC slipped "Lyin' Brian" in to break the news when Maddow was already at the anchor desk talking about Syria -- flipped out. @Barbvas tweeted, "Annoyed to hear Brian Williams thanking Rachel Maddow for assisting with coverage -- he took over her show!!" Fans of Maddow -- who has been enjoying a massive ratings surge recently -- erupted on -- social media, also accusing MSNBC of being sexist by bringing in a male anchor to break the big news on Maddow's 9?p.m. show when she could have handled it better herself. To make matters worse, wily Williams also made a moron of himself by repeatedly referring to the bombs as "beautiful" on the April 6 broadcast. A source at the network said, "Not only did Brian go way over the top with his coverage of the missile strike, he then totally patronized Rachel by thanking her for 'visiting' her own show and being 'a part' of his 'beautiful' coverage! Has he not learned anything from 'Misremember-gate'?" Williams was fired from NBC Nightly News after he was suspended for six months in 2015 after he famously "misremembered" his experiences during the Iraq War. He was bumped to MSNBC as a breaking-news anchor -- who can apparently pop up in anyone's show and say whatever he likes -- as well as hosting an 11 p.m. wrap-up hour. Sources said MSNBC chief Phil Griffin was furious with Williams' disdainful treatment of Maddow. According to a source, "Phil gave Brian a very stern rebuke, telling him, 'Don't you ever do that again.' But Rachel didn't seem bothered by it and just laughed it off." An MSNBC rep declined to comment. (PageSix)

Fixer Upper Star Chip Gaines Comments on "Friends" Who "Reach Out" Via $1 Million Lawsuit. Chip Gaines is not happy with his former "friends." The Fixer Upper star's two former business partners John L. Lewis and Richard L. Clark sued him for more than $1 million earlier this week, accusing Chip of fraud. They said Chip bought out their stakes in Magnolia Real Estate days before he announced HGTV planned to produce the reality show, which prominently features the company's name. They also say they paid just $2,500 each in May 2013 after Chip told them the company is "less than worthless" and that he threatened to start a competing real estate brokerage if they didn't sell. "Ive had the same cell # 15 yrs.. same email for 20 yrs. No one called or emailed? 4 years later 'friends' reach out via lawsuit... humm," he tweeted Friday. The filing states, "At a time when only [John and Richard] knew that Fixer Upper had been fast-tracked for a one-hour premier on HGTV and was on the verge of radically changing their lives and business enterprises, Chip Gaines conspired to eliminate his business partners -- notwithstanding their longstanding friendship -- in order to ensure that he alone would profit from Magnolia Realty's association with Fixer Upper." In their lawsuit, his ex-partners also state that "Chip became so fixated on securing the Magnolia name that he didn't care if he offended or threatened anyone along the way. For example, when Clark made it clear he wasn't happy with Chip trying to lower the buyout even more, Chip allegedly sent the following text message to Lewis, threatening to resort to crass school yard behavior (emphasis added): 'You better tell Rick to be careful. I don't come from the nerdy prep school he's from. And when people talk to me that way they get their asses kicked. And if he's not ready to do that he better shut his mouth. I'm not the toughest guy there is, but I can assure you that would not end well for [R]ick.'" Chip's lawyer had earlier said in response to the lawsuit, "We are confident that these claims will be found to be meritless, and it is disappointing to see people try to take advantage of the hard work and success of Chip and Joanna Gaines." Murdochs Exploring Fox News Options as Pressure on Bill Shine Mounts. The company has quietly put out feelers for a possible new head of Fox News with the preference, say sources, that it be a woman. The Murdochs may be preparing for a leadership change at Fox News. Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that Rupert Murdoch and his sons James and Lachlan, CEO and co-chairman of Fox News parent 21st Century Fox, have quietly put out feelers for a new head of Fox News. And the preference, according to two sources familiar with the Murdochs' thinking, is that the new leader be female. The move comes as pressure is building on Bill Shine, a 20-year Fox News veteran whom Rupert Murdoch elevated to co-president, with Jack Abernethy, of Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network in the wake of the ouster of founding CEO Roger Ailes last summer. Shine runs the programming arm of the media empire, while Abernethy, also a longtime Fox News executive, runs the business side of the company including ad sales, finance and distribution. On April 24, a few days after the network dismissed Bill O'Reilly, Rupert Murdoch took Shine and Abernethy to lunch at the Central Park South eatery Marea; the outing was interpreted as a public show of support and chronicled on multiple media sties. In December, Shine and Abernethy announced a new head of human resources. Abernethy is credited with recruiting Kevin Lord, a veteran of NBC and General Electric who most recently worked at the digital media company Tegna. On April 10, they announced the hiring of a new CFO, Amy Listerman, formerly of NBCUniversal and Scripps Networks Interactive; she is due to begin work on May 1. Former CEO, Mark Kranz, who was forced out last August, has reportedly been granted immunity in exchange for his cooperation with a federal investigation into the structuring of payments to women who complained of sexual harassment. The Murdochs have been feeling increased pressure to make good on their public statements to foster "a workplace based on the values of respect and trust." Putting a woman in the top spot at Fox News would send a distinct message given the issues that have been roiling the network. The feelers are external; though it's possible that someone could get promoted from within. Bill O'Reilly, the network's biggest star, was ousted April 19 after revelations of new sexual harassment settlements- some paid after Ailes' exit last summer. O'Reilly has denied the allegations, noting that his status made him a target. Shine has been named in multiple lawsuits targeting the network, Ailes and O'Reilly. Andrea Tantaros, a former host on the channel, said in one of her lawsuits that she complained to Shine about sexual harassment at the hands of Ailes and Shine advised her not to cross the then-CEO. Shine has vehemently denied Tantaros' accusations, which most recently include allegations of digital spying and cyber stalking through sock-puppet social media accounts. Shine also has been implicated in the saga of Laurie Luhn, a former Fox News booker who has alleged a longtime, emotionally abusive affair with Ailes. As detailed in an explosive New York magazine story, Luhn said that Shine arranged her travel to New York to meet with Ailes and he also recommended a psychiatrist when she suffered a nervous breakdown. Shine has said he did not know that Ailes and Luhn were engaged in a relationship. His name also has come up in the current racial discrimination class action suit led by anchor Kelly Wright. He is not named in the suit, but Wright claims that Shine "demonstrated an obsession with race." Shine has denied the allegations. When Murdoch elevated Shine last fall, the move rankled some at Fox News, especially women, who saw Shine as complicit in the sins of the past. When new payouts to women who complained about O'Reilly came to light April 1, that unease deepened, said one Fox News source. Shine was said to have been a staunch defender of keeping O'Reilly, with whom he worked for two decades. He also appeared to side with O'Reilly last fall when Megyn Kelly complained to Fox News executives about O'Reilly's public statements admonishing her for speaking out about her personal experiences of sexual harassment at the hands of Ailes. (Ailes has denied all of the allegations against him.) Shine started his career at Fox News as a producer on Hannity & Colmes, the program Hannity hosted with the late Alan Colmes. "Bill came from the rank and file. He is a very affable, gregarious guy. He never puts on airs," said a former Fox News staffer. One source described him as "Roger's bag man." And many staffers at Fox News hold Shine in high regard and multiple current Fox News employees told THR that Shine has been a steady hand through nearly a year of turmoil. Sean Hannity on Thursday defended Shine in the wake of a New York magazine report that suggested Shine's days at Fox News may be numbered. "I pray this is NOT true because if it is, that's the total end of the FNC as we know it. Done," Hannity wrote on Twitter. He added: "Somebody HIGH UP AND INSIDE FNC is trying to get an innocent person fired." (Hollywood Reporter)
