Paving work on State Route 83 southeast of Tucson begins May 15

State Route 83, southeast of Tucson and south of Sonoita, will be narrowed to one lane between mileposts 18 and 20 from6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, May 15, and Tuesday, May 16, for paving.

One lane will remain open at all times.
Crews and traffic devices will guide drivers through the work zone.
Drivers should expect delays of up to 15 minutes.

Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.

ADOT works to inform the public about planned highway restrictions and closures, but it’s possible that unscheduled impacts might occur because of weather or other factors.
