SR 83 repairs to continue through Wednesday Crews repairing guardrail damaged in Sawmill Fire

PHOENIX – Repairs to guardrail damaged by the Sawmill Fire on State Route 83 between Interstate 10 and Sonoita will continue through Wednesday, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Drivers can expect lane restrictions and delays up to 10 minutes from milepost 42 to milepost 44, about eight miles north of Sonoita. Work is scheduled to continue until 5 p.m. Tuesday and from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday.

One lane will remain open at all times during the work. ADOT crews and traffic devices will guide drivers through the work zone. Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.

SR 83 was closed for three days last week because of the Sawmill Fire.
