Overnight ramp and lane closures scheduled in areas along Interstate 17 in Phoenix this weekend

The Arizona Department of Transportation is working to complete the rubberized-asphalt paving project on I-17 in Phoenix between Dunlap and 19th avenues. Crews are scheduled to complete final lane striping on the ramps at the I-10/I-17 “Stack” interchange and finish fence work on the McDowell Road overpass this weekend. Drivers should plan for the following restrictions:

The ramp from westbound I-10 to north-and southbound I-17 and the ramp from eastbound I-10 to northbound I-17 will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday, July 28, to 5 a.m. Saturday, July 29. For access to northbound I-17, consider exiting at 19th Avenue and traveling north to westbound McDowell Road. To access southbound I-17, consider exiting at 19th Avenue and traveling south to westbound Van Buren Street.
Northbound I-17 will be closed between McDowell and Indian School roads from 11:59 p.m. Saturday, July 29, to 5 a.m. Sunday, July 30. Drivers can use the northbound frontage road or 19th Avenue during the overnight closure.
The ramp from southbound I-17 to westbound I-10 and the ramp from northbound I-17 to eastbound I-10 will be closed from 10 p.m.Sunday, July 30, to 5 a.m. Monday, July 31. To access westbound I-10, consider exiting at McDowell Road and traveling west to southbound 27th Avenue. To access eastbound I-10, consider exiting northbound I-17 at Adams Street and continuing along the frontage road to eastbound Van Buren Street and northbound 19th Avenue.
