"We are both overjoyed to be blessed with this new addition to our family! I think we are most looking forward to experiencing all of the firsts. First steps, first words, first everything," Matt and his wife, YouTuber and blogger Angela Lanter, told People. "We keep picturing the quiet moments (after the loud ones, of course) and morning snuggles with our baby!" Together since 2009 and married since 2013, the couple currently lives in L.A. with their Maltipoo pup, Ahsoka. Angela, who's battled endometriosis for over 10 years, also blogged about her pregnancy. "I never thought that getting pregnant would be a breeze for us. When that pregnancy test showed up positive, shocked doesn't begin to explain my feelings. After a trip to my surgeon back in March, I was planning to have another laparoscopy this summer...That's when God laughed and said He has other plans for us," she said. "The very next month I was pregnant!" "Matt and I are overjoyed to be entering into parenthood. We've always dreamed of having our own family. This secret has been the hardest we've ever had to keep," Angela said, adding that she and Matt (who starred as Liam in The CW's 90210) hoped to wait "until the time was right." Angela is currently in her second trimester. "My first trimester was a little rough. I was sick before I even found out that I was pregnant! Every single symptom I've had has served as a reminder of the miracle God has given us. I'm now four months along and started feeling the baby move for the first time just a couple days ago. Hearing the heartbeat for the first time, seeing our first ultrasound and feeling the first movements have all been moments that we'll never forget!" she blogged. Talking to People, she added, "After battling endometriosis for many years, we are just so beyond thankful to have the chance to become parents. Matt has gone above and beyond any expectation I could have had. From taking care of me when I'm feeling sick, to never missing a doctor's appointment." Matt admitted, "It's been a roller coaster ride so far!" The Lanters will be discussing Angela's pregnancy in a weekly podcast titled Hello Bump. "At first, it started out as an idea to just be able to go back and listen to our experience," the actor told People, "but the more we thought about it, the more we thought it may be fun to share our journey with others who have been or may be in our position one day." His wife blogged, "I'm being more open, honest and vulnerable in this podcast about my pregnancy than I ever have been before. If you want to know all the details (good, bad, and ugly!) and hear us tell it like it is...I think you'll have a laugh or two with us as we dive into uncharted waters (for us)." (Eonline)

Bobby Moynihan and Wife Brynn Welcome Daughter. Saturday Night Live alum Bobby Moynihan and wife Brynn O'Malley have welcomed their first child, a baby girl. The couple recently welcomed their daughter, they confirmed to Entertainment Tonight on Tuesday at the Television Critics Association CBS press tour Tuesday. "It's life, man. It's life. Crazy," he said when asked how he's adjusting to life as a new dad. O'Malley had been due July 14, the New York Post's Page Six reports. A rep for Moynihan didn't immediately return PEOPLE's request for comment. The comic actor announced that he and his wife were expecting in a cute Instagram post on June 5, where Moynihan cleverly alluded to the fact that a baby was on the way. The 40-year-old shared an image of actress Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, and also paid tribute to the critically acclaimed director Patty Jenkins in his post with the question, "How soon do you think is appropriate to show my daughter @WonderWomanFilm?" Moynihan also revealed that his own little "wonder woman" would make her debut in July. "Hi @PattyJenks. Big fan. Quick question. How soon do you think is appropriate to show my daughter @WonderWomanFilm ? She's due in July," Moynihan wrote for the post's caption. "Thanks for making it easier to be a Dad. What an amazing, beautiful movie. Thanks to you and @gal_gadot." The couple, who wed in 2016, showed off the baby bump in April at the opening of the new Broadway musical Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in New York City. Moynihan, famous for his drunk uncle role on Saturday Night Live, left the comedy show in May after nine seasons. The actor is starring in the upcoming CBS comedy Me, Myself & I, premiering Sept. 25. Julia Stiles Debuts Baby Bump on Instagram Because She ''Couldn't Resist." A month and a half after E! News confirmed that Julia Stiles was expecting her first child with fiance Preston J. Cook, the 10 Things I Hate About You actress couldn't help but to share her adorable baby bump with the world. Earlier, the expecting mom posted the sweet image with the caption, "Alright, I couldn't resist." In June, her rep confirmed that the happy couple was planning to welcome their baby into the world later this year. The mom-to-be hasn't actually said anything about her future wee one, but this picture and too-cute caption are definitely worth a 1,000 words! It's been a long engagement for expectant parents, who have said they're in no rush to walk down the aisle. Stiles and Cook got engaged on Christmas Eve in 2015. In January 2016, the Dexter star shared the news on her Instagram, showing off the diamond sparkler while holding her man's hand with the ocean in the background. She captioned the picturesque photo, "Best Christmas Ever!" Cook, a camera assistant, popped the question in Isla Grande, Colombia. "That's where we got engaged," the actress told People in 2016. "All around, it was a really wonderful trip. We stayed on an island that was really beautiful and there was a lot of great snorkeling. The city was really nice, too, but because I live in the city the natural scenery was really great." Stiles first met Cook on set while working together on the set of Go With Me, a thriller starring Sir Anthony Hopkins, which was later renamed to Blackway. Cook has also worked on The Revenant, Deadpool and most recently Overboard. Prior to her relationship with the camera man, Stiles was famously linked to Josh Hartnett, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Heath Ledger. Congrats to the soon-to-be family of three! (Eonline)

Lauren Conrad Introduces Son Liam Tell on the Cover of People. Say hello to Lauren Conrad's little man, William "Liam" James. The first-time mom and her newborn son grace the Aug. 14 cover of People, on newsstands Friday. Lauren and her husband, William Tell, became parents on July 5. "Before the delivery, I felt like I was getting ready for a blind date. We considered doing the 4D ultrasound but then decided to wait. I just remember thinking he was so cute -- and I was surprised by how tiny he was," she says of Liam, who was born weighing 6 lbs. 14 oz. "I was convinced I was having a giant baby, to the point where I didn't even buy newborn clothes -- in my head he was 9 lbs." Looks-wise, Lauren says her son is "sort of a combo of both of us." "He definitely looks like William," she adds. "But he's still so tiny it's hard to tell!" Life with Liam is better than she ever dreamed. "I feel so spoiled. Liam is such a good baby. I'm sleeping three to four hours at a time. This morning I was up at 4 a.m. and I wasn't even tired, so I cleaned the kitchen and did some cooking," Lauren says. "William was like, 'You're crazy!'" The former MTV reality star loves watching her son make "really funny little expressions." She's savoring every moment with her bundle of joy -- even if she's "already stressing out, because I want him to stay this tiny and I know he won't. So, I'm just trying to enjoy how itty-bitty he is." Ironically, Lauren wasn't always certain she'd become a mother. "In my early 20s I was open to having them or not having them. But after meeting William, I changed my mind," she says of her husband, whom she married in the fall of 2014. "I knew I wanted to have a family with him. But I didn't want to do it right away. I'm crazy about Liam, but I never really got baby fever." For Lauren, it was important to wait a while. "We wanted to enjoy being married and to really be in the right space," she explains. "We took our time, so it was something to look forward to." Once the 31-year-old Hills star learned she was pregnant, she and her 37-year-old husband decided not to find out the sex of their baby before he was born. "I don't really love surprises. I like to have all the information. And I was sharing my body with someone -- so I wanted to know as much as possible about him," Lauren says. "I always hoped I would have a boy. Boys are so fun. I was a tomboy, and I always play best with boys. When we found out, I was so excited." Given what a "good baby" Liam is, might more kids in the fashion designer's future? "I was looking at him the other day, and I was like, 'I understand now why people keep having babies!'" Lauren reveals. "We'll probably have two. I think its best not to be outnumbered." For more photos of Lauren's son, pick up the Aug. 14 issue of People, on newsstands Friday. (Eonline)

Peta Murgatroyd Shares an Update on Her "Feisty" Son Shai: "He Ripped Out a Clump of My Hair." Peta Murgatroyd has her hands full -- and so does her 7-month-old son, Shai. As the Dancing With the Stars pro dished to E!'s Zuri Hall Tuesday night on the Kidnap premiere red carpet, her baby boy is showing his "feisty" colors. As he approaches his 7-month birthday on Friday, it sounds like the little one is well on his way to mastering the art of throwing and pulling. "He's very cheeky right now," she said of her little guy. "He'll grab the food bowl [and] throw it wherever he can." Of course, such behavior can be expected of an infant who is just trying to figure out his motor skills. Murgatroyd noted that the baby is also standing up. Unfortunately for his mama, Shai has his eye on Peta's hair. "He ripped out a clump of my hair right here," she told Hall. While "a little tear rolled down," Murgatroyd kept her cool and calmly explained to her son that "mama's hurt." Hey, they don't call it the hardest job in the world for nothing! While the newly married star was enjoying a solo night on the town, her family wasn't far away from her mind. Meanwhile, husband Maksim Chmerkovskiy was busy on daddy duty. As they finish their first full month of marriage, Murgatroyd revealed not much has changed. "Many people ask, 'Is it anything different from engaged life?' and not really," she said. "It's just like a heightened sense of love and family and unity." While she did physically change her name, the star plans to keep Murgatroyd for professional endeavors, like whenever she decides to return to the ballroom. "I want to. I just need to make sure everything suits his needs, suits his schedule. As I said, I want to, so we'll see," she said of returning to Dancing With the Stars. "I'm just being mummy right now...the hardest, biggest job of all." (Eonline)

Sofia Vergara Is Proud to Be Posing Nude at 45: ''At This Time in Your Life, You Can't Be Perfect." Sofia Vergara is not afraid to strip down and bare it all...In fact, she's quite proud to do so! The Modern Family star covers the annual Naked Issue of Women's Health Magazine in which she opens up about what it means to be posing nude at her age. "Here's a woman, 45, being able to show her body," she told the publication. "It's not like before, when it was just young girls who would make the cover of a magazine." So how exactly did the actress and mother prepare for the shoot? Well, first and foremost, she accepts her body and her skin for what it is and what it is not. "I'm 45. Even if you want to, at this time in your life, you can't be perfect," she explained. "It's not that you hate it, or that you're upset about it, but it is our reality. We're changing. I see it happening to me." She continued, "I want to look my age, but I want to look great. I think if you are obsessed with this 'I want to look younger' thing, you're going to go crazy...People say, 'Oh, you look like you're in your twenties.' Well, it's not true. Our skin is different. I had never thought of the word pore, then I'm like, 'S--t! What do I do with these?'" LOL! We feel you, girl. As far as her body, Vergara revealed she does work out about three to four times a week, but she's not too proud to admit that she absolutely loathes it. "Joe built a very nice gym in the house, so I don't have any excuses, [but] it's like torture for me," she said. "I'm in a bad mood two hours before, I'm in a bad mood while I'm doing it, I'm in a bad mood at the end because I have to schedule the next class." The only reason she continues to exercise is to stay healthy. "It's not about having muscle or cut abs," she admitted. "I don't have abs because I'm not 'I need to be like a fit model with a perfect body.' That would take too much effort!" The actress said she doesn't even do it to build strength because that's simply not in the cards for her. "I don't know if I'm strong," she told the magazine. "I have bad knees and very thin bones; I can barely do a pushup. I wish I could be a little more athletic, but when you're born with these gigantic boobs... I've had them since I was 13, and then they got bigger when I was pregnant and had the baby." However, she works hard because she knows she has to -- something she's maintained in her career, too. "Often I haven't been the youngest or most intelligent girl in the room, but I always am the hardest working one," she said. "Dreams don't happen if you just sit down and accept things." Read her full interview in the September issue of Women's Health Magazine, on stands August 8. (Eonline)

What Miley Cyrus Learned About Marriage From Her Parents. Like mother and father, like daughter. Miley Cyrus weathered some storms when it comes to love, as did her parents, Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus. In an interview published in Cosmopolitan's September 2017 issue (on newsstands on Aug. 8), the pop star, who is engaged for the second time to Liam Hemsworth, recalls what her mom and dad have taught her about marriage. "One thing I've learned about marriage from my parents: Nothing and no one stays the same," Miley told the outlet. "Grow, evolve, change with each other and celebrate your love's journey!" Billy Ray filed for divorce from Tish, with whom he shares five children, in 2010. A year later, he announced on The View, "I've dropped the divorce." Months later, he told GQ magazine that his and Miley's Disney Channel show Hannah Montana "destroyed my family." In June 2013, Billy Ray filed for divorce again, in Nashville, while Tish filed her own divorce documents in Los Angeles. At that point, they had been legally married for 19 years. A month later, E! News Billy Ray and Tish had reconciled after attending couples therapy. Miley and Liam began dating in 2009 after meeting on the set of the film The Last Song. They got engaged in 2012 and split a year later. In January 2016, it was revealed that they rekindled their romance and got re-engaged. "People that break up and get back together, I think that's awesome because you know it's true," Miley said in May on the SiriusXM show Hits 1 in Hollywood. "But also you get time to be yourself. You get time to grow up." (Eonline)

Demi Lovato is as real as they come. The 24-year-old "Sorry Not Sorry" singer chatted with Elvis Duran as part of iHeartRadio's Label Defiers with ZICO Coconut Water, the biweekly podcast where stars discuss how they perceive their own labels, challenges they've faced, and their idiosyncrasies. During the talk, she opened up about the sticker she wishes would be ripped off her back and thrown away forever. "I think when people refer to me as being bipolar, it's something that's true-I am bipolar-but I don't like people to use it as a label," she says. "It's something that I have, it's not who I am." Rather, she's looking to establish a more favorable and encouraging label for herself-like "activist." In 2011, with a history of substance abuse, eating disorders and self-harm, Lovato entered treatment, where she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. And since then, she has been extremely vocal about living with a mental illness and her journey through recovery "because it's something I'm very passionate about." "I think it's very important that people raise the importance of mental health because it's something that's so taboo to talk about," she says of adding her voice to the conversation, particularly when it comes to the topic of transgender rights. "The more people know about it, the more people are going to be able to find solutions to what they're going through." On July 20, the world lost yet another rock icon-Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington-after his long struggle with mental health, and Lovato says its times like these when she strongly encourages people to "speak up." "It's a very unfortunate situation and I feel terrible for [Bennington's] friends and family, but I know that maybe this will raise the topic into conversation around mental illness and mental health and help somebody," she says. She continues, "It's important to speak up about the things you believe in, because your voice will be heard no matter what position you're in. I just happen to be in a position where more people would hear my voice than they would have 10-15 years ago, so I use my voice to do more than just sing." With a new album due out "later this year," Lovato believes it's most important to use her powerful voice to create tracks her fans can relate to. "[Whether] it's in a situation where they need to rise above whatever negativity they have going on in their life or whether it's to get through a heartbreak or whether it's to make a memory to falling in love -- I think that it's just important to create music and to be as honest and real about it as possible." Kate Beckinsale Embarrasses Her Mom and Her Daughter on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Kate Beckinsale is the best kind of talk show guest. When she appeared on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live! Tuesday to promote her new movie The Only Living Boy in New York, she began by embarrassing her 18-year-old daughter, Lily Sheen. "You know how they have crushes on Justin Bieber and things like that? She's got one on you," the actress told Jimmy Kimmel. "It's a little bit of a tricky situation, because my daughter's dad is dating Jimmy's ex-girlfriend -- it's very twisted. It's a sort of horrible, Human Centipede-y vibe." "Anyway, I think you should be pleased. She's very attractive," Beckinsale told the late-night host. Before he got any ideas, she said, "She's out of your league! I just want you to know that." To Kimmel's surprise, Sheen was in the audience. "Don't embarrass her," the actress warned. Addressing the teen directly, the married host laughed and said, "I'm sorry! I had nothing to do with this! This is all her! This is your mother! Let's not ruin the crush thing. I want to keep that going, OK? Thank you very much. I appreciate it. I'm flattered. [Now] we're both embarrassed." "When you were your daughter's age, did you have a crush on a middle-aged, out of shape, hairy talk show host?" Kimmel asked. Beckinsale laughed and said, "I do think it's a phase, the not conventionally attractive man phase. Not that that's your category! You know what I mean! I didn't really have a type, so I sort of veered from Adam Ant into Boris Becker, and then that really scary looking one from The Pogues that had no teeth for a minute...Shane MacGowan!" With Becker, Beckinsale said, "I was still at that kind of magical thinking phase where I felt like I could sort of control things with my mind. I feel like I helped him win Wimbledon just by sort of squeezing my uterus a lot. I was so desperate I could literally sort of feel l my fallopian tubes going into a ball. Then he'd keep getting a shot, and I thought it was me. I feel like I share that." Kimmel mentioned the episode's other guest, Alexis Ohanian, so he asked Beckinsale whether she had ever visited his website, Reddit. "I'm not great on things like that. I know Reddit is the one where sometimes you can find pictures of porn stars with your own face on it. Isn't it? It is, isn't it? I've been sent a few very distressing photos of myself -- very busy, actually. Not just sort of in a wicker chair, naked -- but involved. You know what I mean? With more than one person. So, when I got sent it, I just immediately sent it to my mother with no explanation to see what would happen," the 44-year-old actress recalled. "She's used to shocks, because she knows about the crush on you and everything. But, really offensively, I get a text back going, 'Oh, darling! Oh, dear! Oh, no! Oh, phew! You've got hardwood floors and that's a carpet.'" "Is that a euphemism," Kimmel joked, "or is that...?" "No!" she replied. "It was, 'Oh, my God! What can I possibly cling onto that proves this isn't Kate?' Not my six African American boyfriends -- all at once -- but the fact that that's a carpet." Beckinsale's stories had the audience in stitches. After a beat, Kimmel said, "It sounds like you're doing a good job of embarrassing both your mother and your daughter simultaneously." (Eonline)

How Aziz Ansari changed his life by quitting the internet. Aziz Ansari is working on a new kind of life that doesn't include the constant bombardment of Twitter, Instagram and e-mail. "Whenever you check for a new post on Instagram or whenever you go to on The New York Times to see if there's a new thing, it's not even about the content," he explained to GQ Style of his simpler lifestyle. "It's just about seeing a new thing. You get addicted to that feeling," the "Master of None" creator, 34, added. "You're not going to be able to control yourself. So the only way to fight that is to take yourself out of the equation and remove all these things. What happens is, eventually you forget about it. You don't care anymore." Despite the major change, it's worked well for Ansari who's been living abroad recently with pitstops in Paris, Italy and Japan. "I've been doing it for a couple months and it's worked. I'm reading, like, three books right now. I'm putting something in my mind. It feels so much better than just reading the Internet and not remembering anything." Despite having his professional career by the "balls," Ansari recognizes his personal life is failing and is in need of true help. "I haven't invested in my personal life the way that I have in my professional life," he started. "I'm way more dedicated to my professional life. And I realized that recently, you know?" He is also mulling over the possibility of kids. "I think I want to meet someone I want to have that discussion with," he said. "I'm trying to get mature and evolve as a person. Even cutting out the Internet and social-media stuff, and reading more, is a good step in the right direction." (PageSix)

The One Direction guys sure have a lot of history together-and that includes their friendships with former member, Zayn Malik. When Malik suddenly left the group in March 2015, it caused a rift in his friendships with the rest of the boys, especially his former best friend in the band, Louis Tomlinson. Tomlinson, 25, dropped by Andy Cohen Live on Monday, July 31, and opened up about where he stands with the "Still Got Time" singer two years after Malik's headline-making move. As reported last month, Tomlinson's late mother, Johannah Deakin, who passed away in December, wanted her son to make amends with his old friend. He revealed he has since connected with his ex-bandmate, fulfilling his late mother's wish. "We got back in touch with each other and kind of cleared the air and talked everything through. So we're mates again, I suppose," the "Back to You" singer said. "Like anything like that, it takes time. But it was nice that we had an opportunity to clear the air and be adults about it, I suppose," he said. "My mum said, 'You've got to get back in contact with Zayn. Life's too f--king short. A mother's intuition is just f--king crazy. It always felt supernatural to me. My mum always knew what I was feeling and what I wanted," he said in an interview with The Sun on July 20. Back during the height of One Direction's success, Malik and Tomlinson were inseparable. "I could always break the rules a little bit with Zayn. So after that whole thing, it was that brotherly love. We will always have that love for each other. I can't speak on behalf of him but we really care about each other," he told the newspaper. They have both released their own solo projects since, and Tomlinson even became a father, to son Freddie Tomlinson, in January 2016. They can now both move on from any bad blood and work on getting back to re-establishing the tight bond they once had. (US Weekly)

Matthew McConaughey's reaction to first hearing about the death of acclaimed playwright and actor Sam Shepard was caught on camera while the actor was on the red carpet for his upcoming film "Dark Tower." "Sam Shepard moved on?" he asked the Associated Press reporter who broke the news to him. McConaughey worked with the actor, who died on Thursday following complications from Lou Gehrig's disease, on the 2012 coming-of-age drama "Mud. "Look, I'm not going to trivialize that situation, I just heard about it for the first time," the actor said. "But I always told [director] Jeff Nichols this, look in 'Mud,' the whole trailer for 'Mud' could be Sam Shepard sitting in that green chair telling the boy about who Mud is. It would be about a two-and-a-half minute trailer, but it would have been really badass." "We lost one of the great ones. Great writer, great mind," he said, still unpacking the news. "Alright, see you in the next one, Sam." Shepard was one of the leading figures in the Off-Off Broadway movement, but his breakout film role came in Terrence Malick's 1978 film "Days of Heaven," where he starred opposite Richard Gere and Brooke Adams. He was nominated for an Oscar from his work in "The Right Stuff," and most recently appeared in the Netflix series "Bloodline." Shepard is survived by his children, Jesse, Hannah, and Walker Shepard; and his sisters, Sandy and Roxanne Rogers. (Page Six)

The Nueces County Sheriff's Office in Corpus Christi, Texas, released its list of the Top 10 Most Wanted individuals for the month of August on Monday. A.B. Quintanilla, brother of the late Tejano singer Selena Quintanilla, was among the ten fugitives. The official Facebook page of the sheriff's office published a photo showing the mug shots and names of the wanted, including the charges they are facing. According to the post, Abraham Quintanilla III, 53, has an active arrest warrant for contempt of court and nonpayment of Child Support. The musician and former member of Selena y Los Dinos, who went on to start Los Kumbia Kings and most recently, Elektro Kumbia, reportedly has eight children -- six boys and two girls. The Nueces County Sheriff's Office confirms to People Chica that the musician has not turned himself in, and the department continues its search. According to a spokesperson in the Sheriff's Office, "the individual's placed on the Top 10 are all felony offenders." As news circulated about law enforcement's pursuit of Quintanilla, all of his social media accounts were deactivated. It was not immediately clear how much child support Quintanilla owes. People Chica reached out to Quintanilla for comment but has not received a response. In February, Quintanilla and his group Elektro Kumbia performed at the studios of the People en Espanol to present the video for their single "Pina Colada Shot." The Nueces County Sheriff's Office requested public assistance to locate Quintanilla by providing the following telephone numbers: 888-TIPS or 1-800-827-8477. (People)

Prince Philip Attends His Final Public Engagement Before Retirement. Prince Philip braved the rain to make his final official public engagement as the Duke of Edinburgh. On Wednesday morning, the 96-year-old attended a parade at Buckingham Palace to mark the Royal Marines 1664 Global Challenge. According to a Buckingham Palace spokesperson, the parade brings "his Royal Highness's individual programme to a conclusion, although he may choose to attend certain events, alongside the Queen, from time to time." This was a special event for the royal family member, as he is The Royal Marines' Captain General. He was given the distinction in 1953 after King George VI's death. Despite the inclement weather, he met with representatives from organization, including two Royal Marines. He also met with veterans and cadets before receiving the 1664 Global Challenge baton. The event concluded with a march, a royal salute and three cheers for Philip. While Philip may be stepping down from public duties with retirement, Queen Elizabeth II shows no signs of slowing down. "Her Majesty will continue to carry out a full programme of official engagements with the support of members of the Royal Family," Buckingham Palace confirmed earlier this summer. In addition, the Queen will increasingly turn to younger members of Team Windsor including Prince Charles and Prince William. Ultimately, Philip deserves plenty of credit for all his work in the past year alone. Despite a recent two-night hospitalization caused by an infection, the 96-year-old has had more than 50 engagements in 2017 alone. Appearances have included feeding an elephant at a zoo, celebrating the opening of the Metropolitan Police headquarters and even meeting Tom Cruise at Buckingham Palace. Ultimately, it will be time for the royal family member to rest and relax as he begins his retirement. "Prince Philip has decided that he will no longer carry out public engagements from the autumn of this year. In taking this decision, The Duke has the full support of The Queen," the palace previously said in a statement. "The Duke of Edinburgh is Patron, President or a member of over 780 organizations, with which he will continue to be associated, although he will no longer play an active role by attending engagements. Her Majesty will continue to carry out a full program of official engagements with the support of members of the Royal Family." (Eonline)

Who says you can't be friends with your former mother-in-law? Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck's mom, Christopher Anne "Chris" (nee Boldt), were spotted taking a friendly stroll Tuesday in Los Angeles, where they looked like they were having a blast walking arm-in-arm. At one point, Garner, 45, gave her former husband's mom her sunglasses when she was having trouble seeing. The two were seen smiling, laughing and embracing throughout their walk. The outing comes days after Affleck, 44, and his new girlfriend Lindsay Shookus, 37, vacationed together in Maine over the weekend. "He recently wrapped filming on Justice League and is enjoying his summer," a friend of Affleck's told PEOPLE. Jennifer Garner Confronted Lindsay Shookus About Ben Affleck Relationship, Sources Say Garner was on a work trip to New York City when she approached Shookus about the fling Another source said, "He also really enjoys spending time with Lindsay. It won't be surprising to see them out and about and together in the coming weeks." The friend added that Affleck and Garner, 45, who coordinated their divorce filings in April after almost two years of separation, will continue to put their children -- Violet, 11, Seraphina, 8, and Samuel, 5 -- first. "He's trying to live a normal life and is focused on putting his family first," explained the friend. "Ben and Jen have worked hard to figure out what's best for their kids. They'll continue to spend time together and separately." (People)

Nick Cannon Thinks His Kids Will End Up in the Entertainment Industry: ''They Love Attention.'' Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey's twins Moroccan and Monroe are probably bound for Hollywood. The 36-year-old actor sat down with E! News' Erin Lim and admitted the twins have contracted the entertainment "bug." "My kids, especially Moroccan and Monroe, they're hams," he laughed. "They love attention. They love performing. My son is fascinated with cameras and directing and making little movies. They definitely have the bug." However, Cannon kind of hoped to see them go another direction. "I'd rather them be nuclear physicists or brain surgeons," he admitted. "But I can't control that. So if they want to be entertainers, I'll support it." That's part of Cannon and Carey's whole goal as co-parents. "Just take the ego out of it, and really just unconditional love -- doing what you're supposed to do as a parent," he said of parenting with his ex-wife. "Parenting is an evolution, daily, you're bettering yourself. We all make mistakes...but it's all rooted in unconditional love." Meanwhile, Cannon also welcomed his third child, son Golden "Sagon" Cannon, into the world with Brittany Bell in February. How would he describe life as a parent to the baby boy over the last five months? "Golden," Cannon quipped. "That's his name and that's what the experience is. It's just so amazing... When you get to see it at that stage and you're reminded of how pure and how innocent everything can be in the midst of when things seem to be crazy, it kind of just puts everything in the right perspective." Aaron Carter was more than happy to greet fans on the TMZ Tour bus, apparently right after he went under the knife for something that is super secret. Our tour guide spotted Aaron driving around Tuesday in L.A., when he pulled over and hopped on the bus to say what's up to the passengers. It gets awkward right out of the gate ... with Aaron talking surgery and anesthesia. He's mum on the medical issue -- but happy to interact with everyone. As we reported ... Aaron was just busted for DUI refusal and weed possession in Georgia a few weeks ago. He says cops targeted him 'cause he's a celeb, but police say he bombed a field sobriety test. The witness who called 911 claimed he was "on something" at the time. (TMZ)

Bella Thorne responds to fans who thought she was wearing an 'Allah' necklace on Snapchat. Thorne was quick to clarify things when fans were speculating about her religion... To call Bella Thorne a media magnet would be an understatement. Literally everything the 19-year-old actress does becomes headline news -- from coloring her hair bright pink to getting her first-ever bikini wax. She can't even post a selfie to Instagram without somebody making a big deal out of it. But this swarm of media attention also causes a lot of incorrect information about Thorne to make its way into the zeitgeist -- which puts her on the defense. When photos of Thorne hanging out with Scott Disick sparked romance rumors, she had to tweet that they were "legit nothing." Then there's the time a fake masturbation video of Thorne appeared on the Internet, which she brushed off by tweeting a series of laughing emojis. And, most recently, Thorne was quick to clarify things when fans were speculating about her religion. As Teen Vogue spotted, it all started when she posted a photo of herself to Snapchat wearing multiple necklaces. Someone thought one of Thorne's necklaces had "Allah" written on it, so they took to social media to get answers. "What if she is Muslim tho," another fan said on Instagram in reference to the necklace. Thorne, however, quickly set the record straight. (Though, to be clear, it wouldn't be a big deal if Thorne was Muslim -- or any religion, for that matter.) She somehow managed to find these comments -- to our knowledge, no one tagged her -- and revealed her necklace's real message. "It actually says 'slut,'" Thorne wrote. Thorne's response quickly went viral, for obvious reasons; the above tweet alone has more than 40,000 "likes." That's awesome -- and very Bella Thorne. (British Glamour)

Bobby Zarin, who is suffering from thyroid cancer, FaceTimed into wife Jill's Luxury Luncheon on Saturday in the Hamptons from his hospital bed. "Guests got choked up about it," says a spy. We're told people also teared up when Jill referenced his illness during a speech, noting how everyone has been touched by cancer. Sources say that Bobby -- owner of Zarin Fabrics -- was back home on Tuesday after a stay at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where he was recovering from a procedure. Former "Real Housewives of New York" star Jill told People last week, "His cancer took an unexpected turn, but he is not going down without a fight." (Page Six)

Watch out Silicon Valley, Zoe Saldana is making her mark in the digital start-up space. The Guardians of the Galaxy star is launching BeSe (pronounced "bee-say"), a Latino-based digital media company, that aims to inspire the cultural community, specifically millennial and Gen Z audiences, according to the Hollywood Reporter. "Latinos are a growing community in America, but Latino stories have remained historically marginalized," said Saldana, who will serve as the founder and CEO of the company. "I'm so excited to be leading BeSe, a truly uplifting brand that fills a niche for young audiences craving positive portrayals of the modern Latino experience in America. I'm grateful to partner with Daniel, Monica and Plus Foundry so that more voices can be heard and empower others to actively create their own futures." Plus Foundry, a building unit that partners with influencers and brands to create content, will join the actress in this new venture. And what does BeSe mean? It's a compilation of the verb "to be" in English and Spanish -- "be" in English and "se" in Spanish. On Monday, Saldana along with Daniel Batista, BeSe's president, and COO, and Monica Lozano, investor and advisor, attended Worldz 2017, an annual cultural marketing summit in Los Angeles, in support of the company's launch. Christian Martinez, Facebook's head of multicultural, moderated the future-focused event. "I'm incredibly excited to partner with Zoe in building BeSe into a media brand that creates purpose-driven content, helping fill the significant gap that exists in today's media landscape," said Batista. There's no doubt Macklemore is lucky to be alive when you see what's left of his Maybach after a head-on collision with an alleged drunk driver. TMZ obtained pics of the wreckage -- Mack's 2016 Mercedes-Maybach is sitting in a tow yard now with tremendous damage to the front bumper, hood and engine. His driver and passenger side airbags both deployed. We broke the story ... Macklemore was smashed by a pickup truck Friday night in Langley, Washington but walked away unscathed. His 2 passengers also escaped serious injury. Pretty good ad for Benz. On the other hand, the truck driver was hospitalized and will be charged with a DUI. (TMZ)

Anthony Scaramucci's unceremonious White House exit is linked to a story about rumors he was dating FOX News anchor Kimberly Guilfoyle ... and his departure came on the heels of a TMZ inquiry to the White House. The timeline is interesting -- Monday morning a source in Scaramucci's world pointed out he and Guilfoyle had been seen together in public a number of times over the last year. Some of the events were public and others were private dinners in and around the NYC area. The most recent, of course, was the private dinner with the President at the White House on July 26 ... the dinner which was leaked to the media, triggering Scaramucci's now infamous tirade. Now, back to Monday morning ... at 9:27 AM PT we reached out to the White House Press Office to get Scaramucci's side of the story. At the same time, we reached out to a well-placed source in the West Wing ... again seeking a comment from Scaramucci. We're told our inquiry circulated among various people in the West Wing. At 9:55 AM PT a source close to Scaramucci told us he and Kimberly were just friends. Likewise, a FOX News spokesperson told us they'd been friends for years, and met through her work at FOX. Sources told us, and now Scaramucci confirms, he went ballistic over the White House dinner leak because Kimberly was at the dinner and he knew about the dating rumors that were circulating. At 11:35 AM PT ... Scaramucci resigned from his post as White House Communications Director. Our sources say, going into Monday morning, Scaramucci was not out, but "on thin ice." We're told the President told Scaramucci in no uncertain terms to keep his head low and act professionally. As you know, Monday was General Kelly's first day as White House Chief of Staff, and our sources say the last thing he and the President wanted was another news cycle on Scaramucci on Kelly's first day. Tinder in hot water after throwing rowdy Hamptons ragers. The Hamptons has swiped left on Tinder parties. The members-only version of the dating app, Tinder Select, is in big trouble over rowdy ragers at its swanky Montauk rental, and the company has been banned from throwing further events. The hookup app (its execs had rented an oceanfront compound for $135,000 per month) first got into trouble during a bash for Whalebone magazine on July 14, when cops showed up following noise complaints from neighbors, who include Ralph Lauren and Robert De Niro. Officers found that the party was over capacity and Tinder didn't have a required events permit. Organizers had installed a skateboard ramp, a DJ and a garden tepee for those tender Tinder moments. The next week, Tinder submitted a request for a party permit, but then crossed it out on the form and instead asked for a wedding permit, according to a government official, but after being denied, they threw the party anyway. East Hampton town attorney Michael Sendlenski told Page Six that police and fire marshals were called and that Tinder was ticketed for a lack of permits and for noise violations. Some guests were cited for alcohol in open containers and for parking in the middle of the road. The 5,000-square-foot oceanfront compound, rented from tech and nightlife mogul Michael Hirtenstein, is at 230-234 Old Montauk Highway, on a block dubbed "Millionaires Row." Hirtenstein tells us, "They rented the house for July and told me they were having small private events. When I heard neighbors complained and the police were up there, I sent [Tinder] a text saying, 'Get out of my house,' and they were like, 'We already did.'" Tinder has assured the town there will be no more shindigs at the house, and Joshua Metz, director of marketing at Tinder, faces a $20,000 fine. Tinder CEO Greg Blatt and company vice presidents Paul Boukadakis and Ankur Jain were also at the soirees along with Beastie Boy Mike D and artist Lucien Smith. Tinder didn't comment. (PageSix)

Mariah Carey warns Lionel Richie against 'American Idol'. Mariah Carey shared some wise words (and signature shade) for tour mate Lionel Richie, who is reportedly in talks to judge the rebooted "American Idol." "I would say, 'don't do it,'" Carey, 47, told Entertainment Tonight on Tuesday. The singer, who was a member of the judging panel with nemesis Nicki Minaj for season 12 in 2013, quickly backtracked ... but only somewhat. "No, I'm only kidding," she said. "If he wants to do it, that'll be great. I think he would be really good at it." The "Fantasy" singer previously described her brief time on "Idol" as "boring and fake," calling it "the worst experience of [her] life." Carey also said that the show's set was "an unsafe work environment" due to her feud with Minaj, leading her to beef up her security team. It was rumored that during her tenure, producers were plotting behind Carey's back to replace her with Jennifer Lopez on the panel, much like Carey's ex-husband Tommy Mottola replaced Carey with J.Lo on his management roster. "They just were trying to foil me when I went on there," Carey said. "So, you know, that's the only reason why I say that." (PageSix)

Coldplay Performs Linkin Park Tribute at North American Tour Kickoff. On the first date of their 2017 North American tour, Coldplay paid tribute to Linkin Park, which lost its frontman Chester Bennington last month. Near the end of the performance at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. on Tuesday night (Aug. 1), Coldplay leader Chris Martin performed a solo cover of Linkin Park smash "Crawling" on piano. He dedicated the performance to "anyone who's missing someone," and restarted the song after flubbing the opening, noting that he wanted to get it right since it would likely end up on YouTube. Bennington passed away at the age of 41 on July 20. Linkin Park and Blink-182 were scheduled to perform in the New York area days prior to the Coldplay show, but the co-headlining tour was cancelled following Bennington's death. Coldplay's debut album, Parachutes, was released five months before Linkin Park's first full-length Hybrid Theory in 2000. Both groups have since sold millions of albums each in the United States. Kanye West's touring company is suing Lloyd's of London to get its money back for the shortened Saint Pablo tour, and says the insurer is trying to peddle a marijuana-based excuse for NOT paying. According to docs, Very Good Touring filed a claim with Lloyd's back in November. You'll recall Kanye pulled the plug on his remaining tour dates after spending 8 days at UCLA Medical Center in late November. In the docs, Kanye's co. says it had a policy with Lloyd's to cover cancellation or non-appearance fees. However, Lloyd's has yet to fork over a dime and, according to the suit ... suggests it might not ever, because it suspects Kanye's marijuana use caused his breakdown. Very Good Touring says Lloyd's has no proof to back up its weed theory, and is merely looking for "any ostensible excuse no matter how fanciful" to deny payment on the policy. VGT is suing Lloyd's for $9.8 million, plus interest. (TMZ)

Sonequa Martin-Green on Her Star Trek: Discovery Role: "It's a Dream to Be Able to Be a Part of History." Star Trek: Discovery kicked off its 2017 TCA Summer Press Tour by addressing the elephant in the room: It's massive delays. "We also knew that in order to justify it being on a premium cable service, it had to be huge. I don't mean huge in terms of scope, but story and character... the world was massive and an airdate was looming that was going to compromise the show," Alex Kurtzman, executive producer, told the press. The show needed to get the sets right, while there is CGI, Kurtzman noted they wanted to keep things practical, "immersive and real." "We wanted to do it right, and that's the truth," he said. They also needed the show's star. Sonequa Martin-Green was under contract with The Walking Dead and reports indicated AMC wouldn't let her out of her contract until her character's death was shown on screen. Martin-Green teared up talking about the significance of the series, including the historical component: It's the first Star Trek series to have a minority female as lead. "The honor is mine. The pleasure is mine. I feel that we are all running over -- our cups are running over with gratitude and excitement," Martin-Green told the press. "We're bursting at the seams from the weight of it and the breadth of it. We just -- we couldn't be more thrilled to share this journey with you because we understand its significance. We know we're telling a story we believe in. Everybody is so passionate... This is an epicly grand, yet microscopically tuned, deeply emotional story. We don't take it for granted. We don't take it lightly. I certainly don't. I feel like -- it's a dream to be able to be a part of history. It's a dream. So, thank you." The show is set in the "the prime universe," the universe of the Star Trek TV shows. It takes place 10 years before the original William Shatner series and "cross paths with components Trek fans are familiar with," Akiva Goldman, executive producer, told the press. "You will find this to be heavily more serialized than [Star Trek: Deep Space 9]," Goldsman said about the new frontier for Star Trek. "It's long-term character storytelling." As for the other elephant in the room, Bryan Fuller's exit from the series, Kurtzman noted the American Gods creator's contributions and his ultimate exit because of the work balance with his Starz series. "We honor what he did and much of what is still there came from his mind and that's the real answer," Kurtzman said. Star Trek: Discovery also stars James Frain, Jason Isaacs, Mary Chieffo and more in a sprawling cast. The second episode is available on CBS All Access after its premiere on CBS proper on Sunday, Sept. 24. New episodes drop on Sunday. And if you like talking Trek, there will be an aftershow streaming with the episodes. (Eonline)

The Princess Diaries 3: Everything we know so far. All fingers crossed for this Enthusiastic fan of Jilly Cooper, books, horses and singing. Not a made-up person. A sequel to the much-loved The Princess Diaries franchise has been mooted for a while now, but its chances of coming to fruition seemed to sink following the death of Garry Marshall in 2016, who directed both previous films. Julie Andrews, who played the grandmother of Queen Mia (Anne Hathaway) also got our hopes up when she told Buzzfeed that the film could still go ahead, this time as a tribute to Marshall. "There's talk about it," she said. "And [Hathaway]'s very keen to do it. I would very willingly and happily do it." "I think we might do it in honor of him," Andrews continued, referring to Marshall. "Annie had an idea that she wanted to pursue about it, and I'm all for it, so if she'd like to... " Hathaway's spokesman said it was "too early" to start talking about the film (which tbf we've been talking about since like forever), but fingers crossed eh? In November, Hector Elizondo, who plays Princess Mia's bodyguard in the movies, revealed that he was also up for filming The Princess Diaries 3. In an interview with Variety Latino, he said: "It's not official, but certainly, everybody wants it done." And speaking about the film's director Gary Marshall, who passed away earlier this summer, Elizondo said: "It's been discussed. Gary talked to me - may he rest in peace - about his involvement in it." "I know Annie would like to do it. I know Julie would like to do it. I would like to do it. So we're on board, it's a question of when and a question of getting a good story. I'm ready! It's time to go back to Genovia!" AND NOW, WELL, we have another glimmer of hope. Well, until now. Meg Cabot, who wrote the Princess Diaries book series, told Entertainment Weekly that there is a script. Annoyingly, Cabot didn't reveal what the third script is about. "I am not allowed to say," she said. "I would love to sit and talk about [it], but I can't. I'm not allowed. But it's really more following the movie than the books..." She continued, "I think of [the books and movies] as two different universes. Like there's The Princess Diaries universe that I created, which is, you know, amazing, and the Disney universe, that they created, which is equally amazing. And, you know, there's fans of both, and fans who actually kind of like both of them at the same time." We couldn't agree more. Ah, hurry up you guys. (British Glamour)

Hollywood-China Relationship Faces More Pressure as Chuck Schumer Calls on Trump to Block All Deals. The increased regulatory pressure from Washington matches a harsh crackdown by Beijing's regulators on Chinese investment in Hollywood. Senate Minority leader Chuck Schumer issued a call to President Donald Trump on Tuesday to block all major Chinese investment in the United States as a means of pressuring Beijing to do more to deter North Korea's nuclear missile program. If enacted, the policy could mean an ever deeper freeze on Chinese capital flow into Hollywood, which has in recent years come to rely on financing from the world's second-largest entertainment market. In a letter to Trump, Schumer, the ranking Democrat in the Senate, said the president should use his authority over the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, known as CFIUS, to hit Beijing with a suspension on "all mergers and acquisitions in the U.S. by Chinese entities." "It is my assessment that China will not deter North Korea unless the United States exacts greater economic pressure on China," Schumer wrote. "The U.S. must send a clear message to China's government." CFIUS, run by the Treasury Department, usually reviews foreign acquisitions of U.S. companies on a case-by-case basis when national security interests could be at risk. Traditionally, foreign takeovers in areas such as essential infrastructure or aerospace have been the subject of CFIUS reviews. But beginning last year, both Schumer -- a noted China hawk -- and a group of Republican Congressmen began arguing that the organization's remit should be expanded to cover media and entertainment assets, particularly when Chinese entities are doing the buying. The lawmakers suggested that American media entities could be at risk of being put to use to Chinese state propaganda interests. When raising the issue, both Schumer and the Republican lawmakers highlighted Chinese entertainment conglomerate Dalian Wanda Group, owner of AMC Entertainment, North America's largest cinema chain, as well as Burbank, Calif.-based film studio Legendary Entertainment. CFIUS already has objected to a historically high number of deals this year (in sectors mostly outside entertainment), perhaps reflecting the Trump administration's many vows to take a harder line on trade with China. But using the committee as a tool to punish China over a specific geopolitical priority would be a considerable departure from the body's usual purpose. Republican Senator John Cornyn, a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, said Tuesday that he felt doing so would be inappropriate. "That's not specifically the purpose of CFIUS. CFIUS is a national security vehicle to try to make sure that high-tech investments by foreign countries don't steal our cutting-edge technology," Cornyn said outside the Senate Tuesday. Change could be coming to CFIUS regardless of who calls for it though. Last week, William Evanina, the top U.S. counter-intelligence official, told Reuters that the Trump administration was already at work on a plan to amend and strengthen CFIUS. "I think it's going to look a lot different than it does now," he said. The increased U.S. scrutiny of Chinese deal making in Hollywood matches a tremendous uptick in regulatory pressure from Beijing. Chinese dealmakers announced a staggering $246 billion in outbound acquisitions last year, but Beijing's authorities have since slammed the breaks. In an effort to stem capital flight, which was seen as hurting China's currency, the government has instituted various measures to make it more difficult for acquirers to shift capital overseas. Chinese companies also have been under tremendous political pressure to reduce their leverage, as officials have grown increasingly concerned about debt-fueled deals for international media and sports assets, many of which they view as irrational and overpriced. The party's strict clampdown has sent chills through Chinese investor circles and sent tycoons scurrying to step in line. Dalian Wanda chairman Wang Jianlin, China's richest man, said last week that his conglomerate "will respond to the state's call and has decided to keep its main investment within China." Arclight Films Launches Development Arm to Fuel More China-Australia Co-Productions. The U.S.-Australia production and distribution company has created Chinalight, which aims to build on films like 'Bait 3D' and the upcoming 'Guardians of the Tomb.' Arclight Films is taking a major step into the Chinese market, announcing the launch of development arm Chinalight. Chinalight aims to develop a slate of official Australia-China co-productions, using the treaty that's been in place since 2006 but under which only five films have been made. Arclight, headquartered in Los Angeles and Sydney, also has offices in Beijing and Hong Kong. Executive Jenevieve Chang, whose memoir, The Good Girl of Chinatown, about growing up in Australia and returning to China as an adult was published by Penguin Random House this year, will head up the new division, based in Sydney. With production recently wrapped on Guardians of the Tomb, the largest China-Australia co-production to date, Arclight wants to become the market leader in initiating new collaborations in financing, development and production between the two countries. Guardians of the Tomb stars an international cast including Li Bingbing, Kellan Lutz, Kelsey Grammer and Chinese pop star and actor Wu Chun. The film is being produced by Gary Hamilton, Ying Ye and Mark Lazarus and directed by Kimble Rendall, whose debut feature, Bait 3D, became one of the highest-grossing Australian films in the history of Chinese cinema. Chinalight has put out a call for writers, producers and directors with proposals for genuine China/Australia co-production feature films. Successful applicants will be invited to take part in a hothouse script development laboratory to develop their ideas into potential projects. (Hollywood Reporter)

'Star Wars: Episode IX' Gets a New Writer. Star Wars: Episode IX is getting a rewrite. Jack Thorne, the British scribe who wrote the upcoming Julia Roberts-Jacob Tremblay movie Wonder, has been tapped to work on the Star Wars installment that is to be directed by Colin Trevorrow. Trevorrow and his writing partner, Derek Connolly, have been working on the script, but sources say a fresh set of eyes was needed. It is unclear how extensive the rewrites will be. Rian Johnson wrote and directed Star Wars: The Last Jedi, the eighth installment of the sci-fi fantasy that opens Dec. 15. Force Awakens stars Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver and Oscar Isaac are expected to return -- but you never know who a Star Wars movie may kill off, so don't get too comfortable -- with the ninth installment eyeing a production start in January 2018. The movie has a scheduled release date of May 24, 2019. Thorne is the creator or co-creator of several British television shows, dramas and thrillers, including The Fades, The Cast-Offs, The Last Panthers and National Treasure. While those don't sound like the Star Wars wheelhouse, his writing on two more recent programs brings him closer: His Dark Materials, BBC's adaptation of the fantasy by Philip Pullman, and Philip K. Dick's Electric Sheep for Channel 4. He is repped by UTA. (Hollywood Reporter)

Rob Lowe Promises Not Even the Scariest Parts Are Staged in Family Ghost Hunting Series The Lowe Files. Rob Lowe: Actor, Father, Ghost Hunter. That's the general gist of Lowe's new A&E series The Lowe Files, which follows the star and his two sons, John Owen and Matthew, as they road trip around the U.S., visiting haunted houses and hunting down ghosts. "The concept of the show is that we go on these adventures and, you know, sometimes we're going to find stuff and sometimes we don't, because nothing is staged," Lowe tells E! News in the video. "Absolutely everything on the show is just that we're there with cameras and whatever happens happens." It's kind of like The X-Files meets Supernatural meets real life, plus the hair and genes of one of TV's handsomest men -- and that addition is truly saying something, since neither The X-Files nor Supernatural are lacking in the handsome man department. Anyway, The Lowe Files is also an opportunity to get to know Rob Lowe and his relationship with his two sons, which seems to be rather unique, regardless of Lowe's celebrity status. The trio has learned a lot about each other during their time on the road, like that John Owen loves his Yeezys even when they're not the most appropriate shoe, and that Rob is not the guy you want next to you in a fight or flight situation. "One big thing we learned that we've talked about since is that in the proximity of danger, he's not really the person you want to be next to," John Owen said. "To give you a proper example, we were in a very tense moment in the season finale, incredibly tense and terrifying, and his instinct was to just drop on the floor and get flat and be like, 'get down!'" "Can I just say, this fight or flight thing, there should be a third option," Lowe protested. "Fight, or flight, or freeze. I didn't fight, and I didn't flight, I froze." The Lowe Files premiered Wednesday night A&E. (Eonline)

Michael Strahan Returns to Good Morning America After Losing a "Little Bit" of His Pinky. We pinky swear Michael Strahan is feeling better. The Good Morning America co-host was mysteriously missing from Tuesday's morning broadcast and his colleagues blamed his absence on a vague injury. Fortunately, 24 hours later, the TV star was back in his chair with a bandaged pinky finger on his left hand. "I had a little accident -- lost a little bit of my pinky," he explained to the panel and viewers. While he didn't reveal exactly how he lost some of his finger, he assured anyone and everyone watching that he is fine. "I am ok," he said. "I am happy to be back." However, he quickly realized that his co-workers weren't going to let the injury pass by without poking fun. "I didn't realize how much of a joke I was gonna be," he said, adding that someone working on the show "pinky swore" to something. The ribbing is all in good fun! Meanwhile, the star continued with business as usual, conducting interviews with Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olsen and contributing to the broadcast from his spot at the table. Welcome back, Michael! But maybe don't watch the show hoping just for that answer. "I always tell people focus more on the way the man lived than how he died. I think -- look, go back and watch the episodes. Don't just watch them for Jack, watch them for every character and understand, let's say what the adversity is and the challengers are and how they're met with bravery," Ventimiglia recently told E! News. Season two of the hit NBC drama, which has been nominated for 11 Emmys including Outstanding Drama Series, premieres Tuesday, Sept. 26 after The Voice. "To be really honest I feel zero pressure on season two. I think we, on the creative end, are approaching it the same way," he told us. "We're just excited to be there. We don't feel any pressure to do anything grand or big, I think it's just continuing to tell stories of these really, really great people." (Eonline)

In addition to her years on "Girls," Williams' TV work includes "The Mindy Project" and "Peter Pan Live!" (PageSix)

Nicole Kidman: TV Is Where "the Great Roles Are Being Developed for Women". "I think there's an enormous appeal for actors working there because you have time to develop a character and for stories to unfold" the Oscar winner says. Starring in two major TV series in 2017 and having earned an Emmy nomination for her turn on Big Little Lies, Nicole Kidman says the diversity and complexity of roles on offer for women in TV are making the small screen more appealing. Speaking at the Australian premiere of Top Of The Lake: China Girl, the Oscar winner, who stars alongside Elisabeth Moss and Gwendoline Christie in the second season of Jane Campion's drama, said that "great roles are being developed for women right now-they are not in film they are in television." She added: "They're on both, but they're rare in film though." "I think in television right now, there's great opportunity for women because it's a place in which there is money and directors of this caliber [Campion and Ariel Kleiman] who are willing to work in that medium and write and explore their storytelling," Kidman added. "I think there's an enormous appeal for actors working there because you have time to develop a character and for stories to unfold. Like Big Little Lies where there was five amazing roles for women. That's where obviously the great roles are being developed for women right now." Admitting that she had asked Campion, who she had previously worked with in Portrait of A Lady, for a role in the first season of Top of the Lake, she said it was the reaction to the series that gave her confidence that a female-led series like Big Little Lies could get made. "We saw Top of the Lake, and we saw what they were able to accomplish and that was how we were able to say 'maybe we can do Big Little Lies'. Because at the time there was True Detective, which had male leads, and we wanted to do something that had female leads and was set in America. We were inspired by Top of the Lake. That was the stepping stone." But she acknowledged that creating Big Little Lies, on which she was a producer, was done "out of frustration." "Reese [Witherspoon, co-producer] and I were frustrated because we weren't being offered the sort of roles we wanted in terms of complexity and that was born out of a desire to create an opportunity for ourselves and our friends," she said. "We were able to do that because we had the ability to go and option a book like Big Little Lies, and we had a company that gave us the money to at least develop it and then it took off." Kidman continued: "The more things that are made that are successful that have women as leads is great, because it inspires others and it also gives the people that put the money behind things the belief it's going to be successful or has the opportunity to be successful. We're all helping each other." Working alongside Moss in Top Of The Lake: China Girl was "really wonderful," Kidman said. "Here's another woman who has two TV series this year. She also has The Handmaid's Tale, which is fantastic for anyone that hasn't seen it, and she is, as Jane says, she's brilliant in this." Added the star: "We have very, very different energies, Lizzie and I, and the combination of those energies, with Ariel and Jane putting it together the way they did, it was fantastic. I got to play the very febrile Julie. Lizzie has that sort of Mona Lisa energy. She has a very deep resonant energy and to act opposite that and watch that is really wonderful. She's a great actress." (Hollywood Reporter)
