Expect delays on Interstate 19 and Pima Mine Road next week

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following restrictions as girders are set for the new southbound bridge on Interstate 19 and Pima Mine Road:

Drivers should expect intermittent delays up to 15 minutes while the girders are set in place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 14, and Tuesday, Aug. 15. There will be no additional lane closures on southbound I-19 and no impact on northbound I-19.

Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.

Schedules are subject to change based on weather and other unforeseen factors. For real-time highway conditions statewide, visit ADOT’s Traveler Information Site at, follow ADOT on Twitter (@ArizonaDOT) or call 511, except while driving
