Lane restrictions scheduled on State Route 90 in Sierra Vista through September Allow extra travel time and plan for heavy delays

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following restrictions as a chip-seal project will begin at State Route 90 in Sierra Vista between the intersection of SR 90 and Buffalo Soldier Trail to the SR 90 and SR 80 junction. This project excludes the areas between Industry Drive and Moson Road, and the San Pedro/Lewis Spring bridge approaches.

· East- and westbound SR 90 will be narrowed to one lane in each direction between milepost 317.5 (Buffalo Soldier Trail) and milepost 321 (Industry Drive).

· East- and westbound SR 90 will be reduced to one lane, with flagger stations and a pilot car, between milepost 326 (Moson Road) and milepost 336 (SR 80).

· Work is scheduled to begin Monday, Aug. 14, and continue through September, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays.

· The speed limit will be reduced in the work zones. Expect heavy delays.

Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
