The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) are taking the next steps to select a preferred alternative for the I-19 East Frontage Road project from Ruby Road to Rio Rico Drive. Residents, business owners and other stakeholders are encouraged to attend the next public meeting, ask questions and provide comments on the proposed alternatives for this busy transportation corridor. The meeting is scheduled as follows:

Time: 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Date: Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017

Location: Calabasas Middle School, 131 Camino Maricopa, Rio Rico, Ariz., 85648

The meeting will be in an open-house format with a formal presentation at 6:30 p.m.

Public input is very important and will be considered to determine which corridor alternative will be advanced for design and construction in the future.

The meeting will be followed by a 30-day public comment period.
