Roadway paving and striping scheduled this week at Interstate 8 and Araby Road (SR 195)

With paving and lane striping scheduled at Interstate 8 and Araby Road this week, the Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following restrictions through Thursday, Oct. 12:

The westbound I-8 off-ramp at Araby Road is closed. Drivers can use Avenue 3E instead.
The westbound I-8 on-ramp at Araby Road is scheduled to close for paving and striping between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Thursday.
One lane of westbound I-8 will be restricted from 7 a.m. to noon Thursday as crews replace light fixtures at the Araby Road on- and off-ramps.

The on- and off-ramps at Araby Road are scheduled to reopen Friday, Oct. 13.

ADOT is maintaining one lane of travel in both directions along Araby Road as crews continue building the roundabout north of I-8. Construction of the new roundabout south of I-8 is scheduled to begin in spring 2018.

Schedules are subject to change based on weather and other unforeseen factors.
