Meet up with Joe Ford from the Sonoran Audubon Society, at the Nature Center, and he will OPEN WITH A DISCUSSION OF CLIMATE AND HOW DESERTS FORM. IT THEN MOVES TO THE 4 REGIONS OF THE SONORAN DESERT AND THEIR UNIQUE TRAITS. HOW PLANTS AND ANIMALS ADAPT TO THE DESERT ENVIRONMENT IS DISCUSSED WITH SOME EMPHASIS ON EVADERS, ENDURERS, AND MINIMIZERS. THE PROGRAM THEN MOVES TO THE SEVERAL BIRD SPECIES THAT MAY BE ENCOUNTERED IN THE SONORAN DESERT WITH EMPHASIS ON THE SONORAN UPLANDS.
