Wilshire Road roundabout construction begins next week on State Route 260

Drivers advised to expect road closures and alignment changes

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to expect roadway alignment changes beginning Monday, Dec. 11, as crews build the new roundabout at Wilshire Road as part of the ongoing State Route 260 widening project, located approximately 1 mile west of the Interstate 17 junction near Camp Verde.

Wilshire Road will be closed at the intersection of SR 260 while crews construct the new roundabout, which is expected to take approximately six months. Access to Wilshire Road and Dreamcatcher Road will be temporarily relocated west of the existing intersection. Traffic accessing the south side of SR 260 will continue to have access at Pueblo Ridge Road and left turns onto SR 260 will be temporarily allowed at this location.

Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.

Schedules are subject to change based on weather and other unforeseen factors.
