Roadway improvement project starts next week on Interstate 19 in Green Valley

The Arizona Department of Transportation will begin a project to rehabilitate both pavement and bridges on I-19 between Canoa Ranch Road and Duval Mine Road.

Work is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, Jan. 16.  ADOT advises motorists to plan for the following restrictions and expect delays of up to 10 minutes:

Northbound and southbound I-19 will be reduced to one lane (right lane closed) at various locations between Esperanza Boulevard and Canoa Ranch Road from 6:30 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 16, to 5 p.m., Friday, Jan. 19, daily.
Speed will be reduced from 65 to 45 mph.
Drivers should be prepared to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment.

Schedules are subject to change based on weather and other unforeseen factors. For more information, please call the ADOT Project Information Line at 855.712.8530 or email Projects@azdot.gov.
