Maintenance work scheduled on State Route 87 near Sunflower during daytime hours this week and next

Drivers who use State Route 87 east of the Valley should plan for lane closures and possible delays while maintenance work is underway during daytime hours this week and next.

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to slow down and use caution around maintenance personnel and equipment while the highway is narrowed to one lane in each direction near the community of Sunflower.

Northbound SR 87 will be narrowed to one lane (left lane closed) at milepost 211 and southbound SR 87 will be narrowed to one lane (right lane closed) at milepost 217 on Wednesday, Feb. 7, and again on Monday, Feb. 12. All work is scheduled to occur between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.
