Kate Middleton Looks Festive in Plaid for Military Christmas Party With Prince William. 'Tis the season! Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton got into the Christmas spirit on Tuesday when she stepped out alongside Prince William for a holiday party at Kensington Palace. The mother of three was dressed for the festive occasion in a plaid skirt is by Emilia Wickstead and Brora black sweater, finished off with a pair of boots. The Christmas party was held in honor of military families separated from loves ones over Christmas. More than 200 wives, girlfriends, parents, grandparents and children attended the soiree. For the little ones, who have parents based at either RAF Coningsby or RAF Marham and are serving in Cyprus, a Christmas grotto had been created on the palace grounds. There, the youngsters had the option of decorating stockings, making chocolate truffles and creating crackers at the event -- Prince William included. The famous father of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis embraced the winter mood by participating in the cracker-making and even playfully throwing back some snowballs aimed at his direction. He and Middleton had a picturesque moment together as a machine sprayed fake snow over the couple as they walked. Talk about setting the winter scene! In addition to all the fun, it was also a moving day for all in attendance. Middleton touched on her shared experience of having a husband in military service during her speech to guests. "As someone whose husband served, I know how hard it feels when a loved one leaves home to do the job they trained for," the duchess said, as Prince William previously served as a RAF search and rescue helicopter pilot. As Middleton added, "But I can't imagine how it feels when your loved ones are away on active service over Christmas." "The absence of people you love must be especially hard at this time of year," the royal continued. "William and I, however, hope that today shows, in some small way, how much you are all valued." Ben Affleck Treats His 3 Kids and Mom Christine to Christmas Tree Shopping and Sweets in L.A. Ben Affleck is in the full swing of Christmas planning with his three children. The Justice League actor, 46, spent most of the weekend with daughters Violet, 13, Seraphina, 9, and son Samuel, 6, and his mother Christine Anne Boldt in Los Angeles, a source tells PEOPLE. A second source close to the couple tells PEOPLE the actor and his ex-wife Jennifer Garner "have spent the holiday season together as a family and have really enjoyed it." "They make a really solid unit, married or not," the insider says. Affleck treated his family to a weekend of Christmas festivities, including Christmas tree shopping in the Pacific Palisades followed by a trip to Susie Cakes for some sweet treats. The source adds, "He enjoys time spent with the family." The Oscar-winner's excursion comes after he celebrated Thanksgiving with Garner alongside their children in Montana. "[That] was long planned," a source told PEOPLE of how the two stars spent the holidays together. "They always celebrate big holidays together as a family." A second source told PEOPLE Affleck and Garner "continue to work together to make their parenting as seamless as possible." "They really like to do things as a family, be it outings, church, cooking or watching movies," the insider said. "They have both had some ups and downs this year, and they seem to be in a good place." In October, Affleck addressed his recent rehab stay, where he was treated for 40 days. Affleck entered rehab on Aug. 22 to address his alcohol addiction, PEOPLE previously confirmed. Garner was seen driving him to the treatment center. "The support I have received from my family, colleagues and fans means more to me than I can say. It's given me the strength and support to speak about my illness with others," Affleck wrote in the statement, posted to his Instagram. "Battling any addiction is a lifelong and difficult struggle. Because of that, one is never really in or out of treatment. It is full-time commitment. I am fighting for myself and my family." (People)

Gwyneth Paltrow Boldly Claims She Popularized Yoga Through Goop. Yoga has been around for thousands of years -- but according to Gwyneth Paltrow, it wasn't until she began touting its mental and physical benefits that Western culture adopted the practice. "I remember when I started doing yoga and people were like, 'What is yoga? She's a witch. She's a freak,''" the actress recalls in WSJ. Magazine's December/January issue. "Forgive me if this comes out wrong," Paltrow continues, "but I went to do a yoga class in L.A. recently and the 22-year-old girl behind the counter was like, 'Have you ever done yoga before?' And literally I turned to my friend, and I was like, 'You have this job because I've done yoga before.'" Paltrow may be giving herself too much credit, but there's no denying her influence in the wellness world. Long before she turned Goop from a newsletter into "contextual commerce," the 46-year-old businesswoman regularly advised friends on what to buy and experience. As it grew in popularity, she turned it into a full-fledged operation. "It's really about finding things that we love, whether it's a restaurant down the street here or a face product or whatever, and we write about why we love it, and then it converts really well," Paltrow says. Going forward, she wants the brand can "stand on its own two feet" without her name association. "Part of me thinks it's good for Goop that I also am still Gwyneth Paltrow," she adds. "Over time, it would be great if somebody else could do that, especially since, you know, I'm not like a 20-year-old." The Academy Award winner's interest in wellness began after her late father was diagnosed with throat cancer in 1998. "That was the beginning of people thinking I was a crackpot," Paltrow confesses. "Like, 'What do you mean food can affect your health, you f--king psycho?'" Paltrow regularly turns to moguls like Disney's Bob Iger and OWN's Oprah Winfrey for advice, although Amazon's Jeff Bezos ignores her. "I've emailed him," she says. "He won't email back." Goop has, at times, been mocked in the media -- as has Paltrow. While it used to bother her, now she embraces it. "I'm so happy to suffer those slings and arrows, because if you look at the culture from then to now, people are so curious," Paltrow says. "It's so beautiful to see people feeling empowered by natural solutions or ancient modalities alongside science and medicine." Love her or hate her, Paltrow is unapologetic about who she is and what she's doing. "In one way you think, 'Oh, my God. I hit the freaking jackpot. I won the lottery. I get to be this person, and that served as a platform for me to start my business and to have all this incredible access to amazing people and artists and designers, and I've had such a fascinating life," she says. "And then on the other hand, you get old and a little grumpy and you just want to kind of be a hermit." "I'm here one f--king time. I want an incredible life. I used to be in my trailer, smoking a cigarette and waiting for Ethan Hawke to open the door," Paltrow tells WSJ. Magazine. "Now look at me." The full interview appears in the December/January issue, on newsstands Dec. 15. (Eonline)

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian had a date night Monday in NYC to see the new show about Cher's life on Broadway ... but it ain't going so well, according to one cast member. "The Cher Show" is currently in the middle of its opening night ... and tons of celebs including Kim, Kanye and Cher herself are in attendance. However, cast member Jarrod Spector -- who plays Sonny in the show -- wasn't too pleased with Kanye's audience etiquette. Spector just tweeted, "Hey @kanyewest so cool that you're here! If you look up from your cell phone you'll see we're doing a show up here. It's opening night. Kind of a big deal for us. Thanks so much." Kim and Kanye clearly have prime seats in the theater for Spector to be able to call him out like that ... unclear if Ye's got the message yet ... but his mentions are definitely blowing up. (TMZ)

Kanye West Apologizes For ''Lack of Etiquette'' During Kim Kardashian Date Night. Kanye West is apologizing for his "lack of etiquette" after being called out on Twitter. In a statement released on his Twitter, the star wrote, "To Cher and the Cher show team...the dynamics of Cher and Sonny's relationship made Kim and I grab each other's hand and sing "I got you babe"... please pardon my lack of etiquette. We have so much appreciation for the energy you guys put into making this master piece." His remorseful tweet came after the rapper and his wife Kim Kardashian attended the opening night of The Cher Show, where one cast member spotted the A-lister doing one thing we have all been guilty of: texting during the show. Jarrod Spector, who plays Sonny Bono in the show, tweeted, "Hey @kanyewest so cool that you're here at @TheCherShow! If you look up from your cell phone you'll see we're doing a show up here. It's opening night. Kind of a big deal for us. Thanks so much." Yikes! Other than the very public call-out, it seems Kanye and Kim had a nice date night in New York City. After all, Kim is a big fan of Cher. Fans of Keeping Up With the Kardashians might recall Kim's meet and greet with the singer, where Kim literally dressed in a Cher-inspired ensemble. And Sunday night's date night was pretty special too. The A-list couple attended the first U.S. show for Versace, before heading to their hotel room which was decked out with Versace items like robes, sleeping masks and slippers. Kim documented the luxurious experience on her Instagram, as well as a funny video of Kanye decked out in the sleepwear. Kim and Kanye have been quite the pair of jet setters this past week. A few days ago, they flew to Tokyo, Japan in a private 747, where they worked out with their personal trainer, before visiting the studio of artist Takashi Murakami with some friends. During their quick trip, they also managed to squeeze in a fitting at the store Off-White with designer and friend Virgil Abloh. In a photo taken in the dressing room, Kim dons a green snake-skin printed dress that showcases some major cleavage. However, before they were able to jet off to New York City, they returned home to Calabasas to celebrate Saint West and Reign Disick's birthdays. The Tarzan themed fte was quite the spectacle, with an array of tropical plants filling the Kardashian-West home. Then there was the actual monkey they brought in! They really don't make it easy to keep up with the Kardashians. (Eonline)

Christie Brinkley has experienced every fashionista's worst nightmare! On Monday, the supermodel, 64, attended the New York premiere of Paris to Pittsburgh at the Film Society of Lincoln Center. While leaving the venue with some pals, Brinkley had a major fashion mishap as her Christian Louboutin heel got stuck in the cracks of the escalator. "My brand-new Christian Louboutin!" Brinkley sadly cries out in the video recorded by her friend. "My shoe is stuck... Nooo!" Although Brinkley was understandably upset at the time to lose her very expensive shoe (the pumps retail for close to $800), she later posted the video of the incident and added a very punny caption, choosing to make light of the situation. "?? It hurts my SOLE to see this agony of deFEAT ..the escalator won this time... but I'll be back with another pair of sparklers! OH HEEL YEAH!" she joked on Instagram. "Somebody call the police.. the fashion police!" Brinkley continued. "There's no business-like shoe business... now what will I wear to all the Pumps and circumstance tomorrow night at the Footwear Achievement Awards! Hope you're getting a kick out of this ... actually I'm the one who needs a new kick!" "That pump was a real heel ..my new ARCH RIVAL! Haha!" she finished. "Have I PUNished you enough toe- night? Lol! Gotta laugh!" Earlier in the night, before she was sans-shoe, Brinkley posted a photo to her Instagram from the film event. Looking fabulous in a black long-sleeved dress and her sparkly heels, the supermodel posed for a picture next to former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Martha Stewart. "An Absolutely Vital Film of our Times #paristopittsburgh is a Must See because we can make a difference and we MUST!" she wrote. "@bloombergdotorg Thank You ! @marthastewart great to see you! @natgeo I love you!" Brinkley is known for having an optimistic -- and ageless -- outlook on life, especially when it comes to social media. Recently, the supermodel received a negative comment on social media but found a way to positively spin the insult. "She looks old now but still pretty!" wrote the Instagram commenter. In her response, Brinkley referred to how wine gets better with age: "Hey looking old is a compliment in 'wine speak' so thanks!" The author of Timeless Beauty takes pride in feeling youthful and made a stunning return to the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2017, flanked by daughters Alexia Ray Joel, 32, and Sailor Brinkley Cook, 20. "In a country that's very ageist, people love to put you in little boxes," Brinkley told PEOPLE after the photo shoot. "Women feel very limited by their numbers. On a personal level, I thought, if I can pull this off, I think it will help redefine those numbers and remove some of the fear of aging." Brinkley has long said that she's maintained her youthful glow thanks to an intense exercise routine, vegetarian diet and extensive skincare regimen. But she recently started undergoing a few non-invasive anti-aging procedures: the injectable Xeomin for her frown lines and the skin-lifting Ultherapy for her neck and decolletage. Although Brinkley's goal was "never to look different," she's approached aging with honesty. "I'm almost 64. At a certain point, you might need a little something extra," she said at the time. "When I look in the mirror, I want to feel like I look as good as I feel." Added Brinkley: "And if you can have something done to feel more confident and better about yourself, then you feel like your face matches your spirit -- and my spirit is enthusiastic and energetic." Chrissy Teigen's son will be sporting a new look for a while. On Monday, the mom-of-two, 33, revealed that her son Miles Theodore -- whom she shares with husband John Legend -- needs to wear a helmet in order to treat his "adorable slightly misshapen head." The condition, known as Plagiocephaly, happens when one of the soft skull plates on a baby's head flatten, according to Healthline. Sometimes referred to as Flat Head Syndrome, the condition does not pose any danger to the baby and is often caused by staying in one position, such as lying on their backs. "baby miles getting fitted for a little helmet today for his adorable slightly misshapen head," she tweeted. "so if you see pictures, don't feel bad for him because he's just fixing his flat and honestly he's probably gonna be even cuter with it somehow" "I have been told it's too late for my head," she jokingly added in a separate tweet. Teigen then posted two adorable photos of little Miles, 6 months, sporting his new, white head accessory. She also shared the sweet image on Instagram and captioned the photo, "my baby bug got his head shaping helmet today! please don't feel bad for him if you see photos. he is a happy bug and we're just fixing his flat!" The adorable photos of Miles led many other Twitter users to respond to Teigen's thread by posting photos of their own children wearing helmets, who also suffered from Plagiocephaly. "Is this the official babies with helmets thread?" asked one Twitter user. "I HOPE SO it is so great!!!" responded Teigen. Since Teigen and Legend, 39, welcomed Miles into the world on May 16, the proud parents have shared countless shots of their youngest child who looks just like his father. Most recently, Teigen shared a heart-melting photo of Miles cuddled up alongside several teddy bears -- a loving nickname she has given her little boy. In another shot, Miles leans up against Legend. "all the bears!!" Teigen jokingly captioned the sweet shot, which displays the "All of Me" singer and Miles' uncanny resemblance to one another. And back in October, the model posted another photo of Miles hitting a major milestone as he fed himself with a spoon. "baby bear is eating!" she captioned the adorable photo. In response, the couple's celebrity friends shared their disbelief at how similar the father-son duo looked, with several stars commenting on Teigen's post, first captured by the Instagram account Comments by Celebs. "That looks like you face swapped John onto a baby!" wrote late-night host Trevor Noah. "At least there'll never be a tabloid headline questioning the father," joked Fifth Harmony member Lauren Jauregui. Legend previously explained how caring for a newborn was a major parenthood adjustment for the couple. "A lot of it's just the nuts and bolts of making sure Miles is fed. Making sure he sleeps well. Making sure we burp him. Making sure we change his diaper," the singer revealed. "It's just the practical everyday things of being a parent, and so we're immersed in that time in his life right now," he explained. The couple's two-year-old daughter Luna Simone has also adjusted well to life as a big sister, dad added. Legend told PEOPLE, "She tries to play with him. She takes care of him too. She'll feed him. She'll pat his little head. She's very loving with him." (People)

Kim Kardashian calls Kourtney Kardashian 'ruthless'. Kim Kardashian might want to lawyer up. While appearing on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," Kim was asked by the talk show host which of her sisters would be the most likely to sue her. Kim answered Kourtney Kardashian. "She is ruthless," Kim said. Kimmel then asked if Kourtney really ever threatened legal action. "Maybe as a joke," Kim said. "When I used her character in a video game, and I paid her still, but yeah she wanted more." Apparently, there's no such thing as a family discount for the Kardashians. This isn't the first time Kim has called out her older sister. On "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," Kim went so far as to describe Kourtney as "the new Rob [Kardashian]." Their feud also made headlines when Kim said Kourtney was boring to look at. "She's the least exciting to look at, so she can be out," Kim said. "She doesn't do st. She doesn't know what it's like to actually have fking work to do." (PageSix)

Lisa Vanderpump is all about her Sexy Unique Restaurant -- but she's not about a pair of not-so-sexy panties. The "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star told Page Six that the worst gift she ever received was "underwear that's too big ... because you know that's what they think of you!" Of course, the "Vanderpump Rules" boss declined to say who gave her the offending lingerie. Underwear became a point of contention during Season 7 of "RHOBH" after Erika Girardi was accused of flashing Dorit Kemsley's husband P.K. while the group was sitting for drinks before Vanderpump's white party. Kemsley bought Girardi a new pair of panties later on, embarrassing Girardi in front of the group in the moment and causing an explosive fight in Hong Kong later in the season. Vanderpump, 58, told us that she won't be buying any underwear for her friends or family this holiday season, instead picking up a Monica Rich Kosann Locket for her close friends. "This is something I received and is so special to me," she said. "The locket can be filled with photos of their loved ones and worn on a delicate long chain. It's something that is so meaningful and can be worn every day!" She's hoping for a Le Creuset set in return, saying: "It's like the Rolls Royce of cookware and it lasts forever." Still, her favorite gift from her husband Ken Todd has been her "little sex monster Giggy." "He is so special, and really inspired me to create Vanderpump Pets and launch our 501(c)(3) Foundation, Vanderpump Dogs." (Page Six)

Radio great Elvis Duran finally met his own on-air idol Howard Stern, at North Shore Animal League America's annual Get Your Rescue On gala. "It was amazing!" Duran told us. "Howard was incredibly engaging and actually mentioned me in his speech. [His] influence in my life is why I needed to work in NYC, and we finally met. I was so honored!" Stern chaired the gala with his wife, Beth. Duran appears on "The Tonight Show" on Friday. (Page Six)

Anything for love! Jax Taylor opened up exclusively to Us Weekly about proposing to his girlfriend, Brittany Cartwright, during the season 7 premiere of Vanderpump Rules, admitting the process was a tad "brutal." "It was pretty crazy. It was a really hot day, I knew where I wanted to do it and I knew how I wanted to do it, but logistically, I kind of screwed that up a little bit. It was just so far away, the location, it was a Friday in the afternoon and from West Hollywood to Malibu, where I did this, it was quite a hike," Jax admits, noting that the radio wasn't working in the couple's Lyft. "So an hour and a half drive, mind you, I'm nervous as hell, I'm in really tight pants, I'm hiding the ring box in my crotch region and my stomach hurts and I have no idea what to say, so it was brutal. I've got to tell you, from the moment I left my apartment until I got there, it was brutal." The former SUR bartender adds that he kept the 3-carat rock in his pants for nearly two hours. "It really hurt," he notes. As for why the Malibu location, Jax tells Us the beachside spot meant a lot to the couple and his late father. "The location is just a place that we went to a few times and we really like it. It's a place that my father, when he visited here, he really, really loved," he says. "It was the only place he really liked when he came to California, believe it or not, this place called Neptune Net, which is a very cool, like fish shack place that you stop on the side of the road. It's really cool. You just get crab legs and beer and just hang out, it's very causal." "You can see the sun setting, the dolphins are out and surfers, so it's kind of just fun to have some crabs and dinner there, so I thought I would do it there just because it meant so much to me and my father and us," he continues. "It had a lot of meaning all around." And while fans may have pointed out Brittany was wearing a white dress for the occasion, which aired on the Monday, December 3, episode of the Bravo series, the Kentucky native maintains to Us that she was "completely surprised" by the proposal. "A lot of people asked, because I was wearing a white dress, but honestly I picked that dress because I knew we were doing a beach date. I thought it was very beachy," she explains. "I was very surprised. I had a feeling that he might do it this summer, honestly I thought maybe the summer because we have talked about rings and everything, but I didn't know it was going to happen that early in the summer." Vanderpump Rules airs on Bravo Mondays at 9 p.m. ET. (US Weekly)

Kareem Hunt's out of the NFL -- and the virtual NFL too -- because EA Sports says the running back is being removed from the Madden 19 video game. After TMZ Sports posted footage of the former Kansas City Chiefs player attacking a woman in a Cleveland hotel during an incident in February, the video game company says it made the decision to pull Hunt from the game. "We are in the process of removing Kareem Hunt from the Madden NFL 19 roster, Madden Overdrive and Madden Ultimate Team," a rep for EA Sports tells TMZ Sports. "Any of our players who currently have Hunt on their Ultimate Team will receive a replacement generic player with identical stats." Hunt was cut by the Chiefs on Friday and was not claimed by any other NFL team when he hit the waiver wire. Now, he's a free agent but it doesn't appear any teams are actively trying to sign him. (TMZ)

Michael Richards admits he hasn't always been great at dealing with hecklers -- duh -- but he's now dishing out advice to other stars in the hopes they can learn from his mistakes. Remember, back in 2006 the "Seinfeld" star lost his mind on a heckler at the Laugh Factory -- dropping a bunch of n-bombs in a tirade that was captured on video. He's apologized for the incident several times since then and even met with Jesse Jackson in the hopes of repairing his relationship with the black community. So, with NBA players getting heckled like crazy by fans these days -- specifically Patrick Beverley and Kevin Durant -- we asked Richards if he had any words of wisdom. "I didn't handle the heckler too good that evening," Richards told us. But he did advise the players to not feed into the trash-talkers -- even though it might be hard -- and try to focus on doing their jobs. "Just remember, you're there to entertain people. Stay with the entertainment. We need it." (TMZ)

Tristan Thompson has something in common with Kevin Durant -- he's finally lost it with hecklers. T.T. snapped at the end of the Cavs-Nets game Monday night ... flipping off some courtside fans after Cleveland sealed the W. The dudes on the receiving end were pretty shocked ... you can hear them yelling, "Get out of here, you bum" and "someone's gotta get that on video!" Of course ... it wasn't as bad as K.D. telling a courtside fan to "watch the f**king game and shut the f**k up" -- but Tristan's DEFINITELY still about to get fined for the incident. Doesn't seem T.T. cares all that much ... guy's on a hell of a double-double run -- and Cleveland finally snapped its losing streak, which had Tristan feeling himself after the game. "They better put some respect on my name," he said. FYI ... Durant was popped $25k for yelling at his heckler earlier this season -- and Patrick Beverley is expected to get more than that for throwing a ball at a fan during a game over the weekend. Seems these guys really do need to take some advice from Michael Richards ... (TMZ)
