Daytime closure of Pioneer Road at I-17 (Black Canyon Freeway) rescheduled for Wednesday
North Phoenix drivers who use Pioneer Road at Interstate 17 should plan to use an alternate route and allow extra travel time this Wednesday while the Arizona Department of Transportation completes guardrail repairs on the bridge.
East- and westbound Pioneer Road will be closed at I-17 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15. Drivers should use Daisy Mountain Drive while the closure is in place.
North- and southbound I-17 will remain open, as will the on- and off-ramps at I-17 and Pioneer Road.
The guardrail repair work was originally scheduled to occur last week but was postponed.
Schedules are subject to change based on weather and other unforeseen factors. For more information, please call the ADOT Project Information Line at 855.712.8530 or email Projects@azdot.gov.
