Elevating the Culinary Arts

  The 79th and 377th Theater Sustainment Commands put their culinary planning skills to work and conducted 92G Sustainment Training at the George W. Dunaway Army Reserve Center in Sloan, Nevada, Jan 26-30, 2026. The 5-day round-robin training provided Soldiers with skills in Field Feeding Meal Preparation, Food Safety & Protection, Small Batch Baking Training, and hands-on training with the Assault Kitchen (AK), Mobile Kitchen Trailer (MKT), and Modern Burner Unit (MBU). The training not only increased overall readiness and Army standards through hands-on instruction but also incorporated recruiting through media attention and innovative training that has a sustainable impact on current and future missions in the field environment, aligning with the ASL Army 2030 vision.

Full Throttle STEM Hosted by AFRL's Gaming Research Integration for Learning Lab (GRILL)

  The Air Force Research Laboratory’s Gaming Research Integration for Learning Laboratory® (GRILL®) annually hosts the Full Throttle STEM® event. The goal of this event is to spark student interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM®) and increase interest in related career fields. Local area teachers and students participating in the program utilize a series of project-based STEM® learning materials developed at the GRILL. Throughout their academic semester, students apply skills such as physics (in racing), graphic design, and marketing to design, develop, and race their own RC car. This event allows students to showcase their STEM®-related projects, including modeling and simulation-based work, and participate in learning opportunities that culminate in a live RC race car competition.
