Other Stuff....

Sunday was world-wide Go Topless Day, promoting gender equality and women's rights to bare their breasts in public. Oh, sure, and I suggest that at work and all I got was a trip to HR. From Facebook: Signs offering sandwiches at different restaurants. One offers a "Trump Sandwich: White Bread with Boloney, Russian Dressing and a small pickle." Nearly 60% of Americans would like this banned from TV, what? Prescription drug commercials.

Wide-eyed comedian Chris Tucker turns 44 today. He has to be careful. Sometimes his voice gets so high, only dogs can hear it. When he gets going, his voice gets so high, he can open garage doors with it. I always thought he sounded like Eddie Murphy, if Eddie had a cold and sucked helium. My guess is that he has at least a couple of Rush Hour movies left in him. He's the fast-talking guy with the squeaky voice. No, you're thinking of Paul Ryan. The other guy. 90's singer Debbie Gibson celebrates her 46th birthday. Nice to go ahead and get your career over with early in life. She sang "Out of the Blue" and is getting closer to hair that color. Marcia Clark, the prosecutor in the O.J. Simpson trial, turns 63 today. She's appealing, although not in a very appealing way. Actor and Buddhist Richard Gere turns 67 today, although his hair hit it years ago. National Trail Mix Day -- Mixing cereal in with other healthy snack foods, like sunflower seeds, nuts, and drie

On this date in 1842, Congress approved the U.S. Naval Observatory. Why they needed an observatory to study someone's naval... well, that's congress for you. In 1887, Thomas Edison patented the Kinetoscope, a device which produced moving pictures. Since the phone had been invented 11 years before, they were ready to ring the second the movie started. Ironically, Alexander Graham Bell was sitting behind him when his invention, the telephone, went off. The Kinetoscope, which I'm pretty sure was some kind of mouthwash, was actually a device that allowed you to enjoy moving pictures. If only he had been stopped, there might never have been a single Pauley Shore movie. On this date in 1895, the first professional football game took place in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. The game wasn't televised, mostly because TV hadn't been invented yet. The game announcer was a guy named Jebadiah Madden. Ruby Rose is back on the market. The former "Orange Is the New Black" actress and girlfriend Harley Gusman have split after more than two months of dating, People first reported. "It just didn't work out," a source told the mag. "They weren't on the same page." Rose, 30, and Gusman, who is the VP of marketing at skincare company Truly Organic, were first spotted together in June, when they dined at Hollywood eatery Katsuya. A month later, the couple celebrated the Fourth of July at Taylor Swift's star-studded bash in Rhode Island. The pair's breakup doesn't appear to be messy as both Rose and Gusman have yet to delete their snapshots of one another from social media. And as an insider told E! News, the actress's busy schedule was to blame. "She is shooting until the end of the year out of the country and focusing on her career," the source shared. Prior to romancing Gusman, Rose was briefly linked to singer Halsey after sh
