Recycle Your Cooking Oil and Grease after Thanksgiving—or Any Time!

Recycle Your Cooking Oil and Grease after Thanksgiving—or Any Time!

Disposing of cooking oil and grease improperly can cause many problems in our sewers and can be harmful to the environment. So take your cooking oil and grease to be recycled for free at one of the two City year-round grease collection sites. To recycle your leftover oil and grease, pour it into a container, secure the lid, and take it to one of these drop-off locations during open hours:

City of Sierra Vista Compost Facility
Highway 90, milepost 325 (Near the Cochise County Transfer Station)
Monday through Saturday – 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Good Neighbor Alliance
420 North Seventh Street
Monday through Friday – 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Please note, the City of Sierra Vista will not set up special collection facilities at The Mall of Sierra Vista or on Fort Huachuca as in Previous Years. For information on fat, oil and grease recycling, contact the Public Works Department at 458-5775.
