WEIRD NEWS

Happy Halloween For some in Ocean County, New Jersey, it's not a Happy Halloween. There's outrage over a Halloween display in front of one home in Waretown, but the homeowners are defending their decorations saying it's all in good fun. Basically Kevin Negrotto and his family put a lot of effort creating a horrific fake crime scene with a body pinned against a tree by a white car with blood dropping down it. Not everybody hates it. One neighbor, identified only as Donna, said, "I think it's awesome, I really do. I don't know what the problem is, it's Halloween fun." But police have been inundated with calls from others who say the display is inappropriate and goes too far. Adding that the display is in poor taste, others say it looks like a drunk driving accident. Negrotto says he and his wife have been receiving nasty messages about what they consider a creative Halloween display for trick or treaters. Resident Justin Sarnowski said, "People ar...

DID YOU KNOW?

Even though they shouldn't, one out of ten American women drink alcohol while they're pregnant. (This compared to the rest of the world, that's really good, in France, 1 out of 2 drink, and in Russia, almost 2 out of 3.) The older you are, the less likely you'll cry. 14% of people are addicted to eating cucumbers. Only 7 out of every 1000 people will live to be 100 years old. Only 4 million have ever lived to be 110. If you're an average American, you'll become a grand parent first time at age 47. A recent poll found that a quarter of all women would give up sex for a new BMW.

ON THIS DAY

On this date in 1864, Montana came up with a name for its capitol, Helena. One of the founding fathers wanted to name it for a woman he met, but he couldn't remember her last name.
