Join the Consul of México from Douglas, Jorge Ernesto Espejel-Montes, as he gives a brief welcome and historic insight behind Mexican Independence Day, celebrated September 16. Following his introduction there will be live music, folklorico dancers from Cananea, Mexico, dance instruction for those hoping to learn a few steps, and Mexican food tastings for all to enjoy. Bring the whole family to celebrate this day with our sister city, Cananea, in the best way possible, a fiesta! For more information call 458-4225.

Book discussion group to meet The next book up for discussion by the Cochise College Literary Guild is “Spirit Walk,” written by Cochise College instructor Jay Treiber. The discussion is Nov. 21, 11 a.m. – noon, in the Horace Steele Room in the Sierra Vista Campus Library Building.
