Douglas Days celebration planned

Douglas Days celebration planned
Join the City of Douglas in celebrating Douglas’ past, present, and future today and Saturday at Raul Castro Park, 10th Street, between D and E Avenue. The annual event commemorates the day Douglas was incorporated on May 1905.
A welcome ceremony at 5 p.m. takes place today at Castro Park followed by musical performances by Davy Morales and Sierra Outlaws. Food and craft vendors, informational booths and a beer garden will be featured at the park both days.
Festivities kick off with a 10 a.m. parade along G Avenue Saturday followed by bed races, free Slaughter’s Ranch tours, art walk around the church square, musical and dance performances and participation by sister cities Agua Prieta and Nacozari.
