Historical society welcomes public
The Sierra Vista Historical Society invites the public to its Annual Open House Luncheon at Pueblo Del Sol Country Club, St. Andrew’s Drive, on May 22. The speaker will be Carrie Gustavson, executive director of the Bisbee Mining and Historical Museum, who will give a presentation on the history and restoration of “Grassy Park”. There will be a short business meeting beforehand. 
Doors open at 11 a.m. with a buffet lunch beginning at 11:30 a.m. Luncheon cost is $15 and reservations are required. Deadline is May19. Send payment to Sierra Vista Historical Society Inc., PO Box 1088, Sierra Vista, AZ 85635.

Book discussion group to meet The next book up for discussion by the Cochise College Literary Guild is “Spirit Walk,” written by Cochise College instructor Jay Treiber. The discussion is Nov. 21, 11 a.m. – noon, in the Horace Steele Room in the Sierra Vista Campus Library Building.
