Allow extra travel time on State Route 87 north of Strawberry

Motorists traveling on State Route 87 should allow extra time while surface sealant is applied on 13 miles of the highway from the SR 260 Junction to Clint's Well. Work will occur between mileposts 278 and 291 on Tuesday, June 13, andWednesday, June 14, during daylight hours.

The roadway will be reduced to one lane with a pilot car guiding alternating traffic through the work zone. Drivers should plan for delays of up to 15 minutes; observe reduced speed limits; and watch for construction personnel and equipment in the work zone.

ADOT works to inform the public about planned highway restrictions and closures, but it’s possible that unscheduled impacts might occur because of weather or other factors. For the most current information about highway conditions statewide, visit ADOT’s Traveler Information site at www.az511.gov, follow ADOT on Twitter (@ArizonaDOT) or call 511, except while driving
