Celebrate National Astronomy Day

Celebrate National Astronomy Day
The Huachuca Astronomy Club invites everyone to a free celebration of National Astronomy Day at the Patterson Observatory on Saturday. Solar viewing takes place 1 – 4 p.m. View for sunspots and other solar phenomena through telescopes specially designed for sun-safe viewing. The observatory will remain open for night time viewing starting around 7 p.m. See stars and more through the observatory’s 20-inch telescope and others.
Need help with a telescope? Bring it to the daytime session. There will be activities for youth courtesy of the NASA Space Place and an astronomy book sale. The weather-dependent event will be canceled if raining.
