Child Identification Day set

Child Identification Day set
The Sierra Vista Police Department, in conjunction with Sierra Vista Regional Health Center and the Jim and Shirley Elliston Child Identification Program of Cochise County, will be holding a Child Identification Day, March 21.
CHIP provides parents with a packet of key information about their children to aid with identification should the unthinkable happen and their child go missing.  Parents are provided with a DNA swab, color photo, fingerprints and a recorded interview with each of their children.
While none of the information is saved to a computer, parents are given the information on a CD that is Amber Alert-ready.
The event takes place 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Wellness Depot, located near Sears in The Mall at Sierra Vista, 2200 El Mercado Loop, Sierra Vista.
The CHIP program is free, but donations are accepted.
For more information, call 520.452.7500 or 520.459.8210.
