Striping work scheduled on I-10 and I-19 in Tucson tonight
Motorists traveling on eastbound Interstate 10 and onto southbound I-19 through Tucson will encounter travel restrictions overnight tonight while the Arizona Department of Transportation replaces lane markings.
The following restrictions will be in effect from 9 p.m. this evening until 5 a.m. tomorrow:
- Eastbound I-10 will be reduced to two lanes between 22nd Street and Sixth Avenue
- Southbound I-19 will be reduced to one lane between the junction with I-10 and Ajo Way
ADOT advises drivers to proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.
ADOT works to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but there is a possibility that unscheduled closures or restrictions may occur. Weather can also affect a project schedule. To stay up-to-date with the latest highway conditions around the state, visit the ADOT Traveler Information Center atwww.az511.gov or call 511.
