History Walk – Murray Springs Clovis Site

The Friends of the San Pedro River will offer a history walk on Saturday, April 23, at 9:00 am to the Murray Springs Clovis Site. Join a trained docent to visit one of the premier Clovis cultural sites just a few miles east of Sierra Vista.  See Clovis artifacts and learn about these people who hunted Ice Age mammals, including mammoths, some 13,000 years ago.  The walk is suitable for most adults and children. Bring good walking shoes, hat, water, sun protection, and a snack. Meet at the Murray Springs Parking Area accessed from Moson Road a mile north of Highway 90. For more information, call (520) 459-2555 or visit www.sanpedroriver.org
