HOLIDAY HEALTH
(Woman's Day) The chaos of the holiday season can make you prone to some common seasonal health blunders. Count on these quick fixes to pull you through:

  • You stayed up all night wrapping presents and now you're exhausted. Take a quick nap if you can. Even 20 to 30 minutes can go a long way to rejuvenate you. No time to snooze? Grab a strong cup of coffee, then get a full night's sleep tonight.
  • You meant to "save" your calories till party time, but couldn't resist your co-worker's homemade fudge. Make it a "mocktail" night. Treat yourself to a decaf latte with a sprinkle of cinnamon, or seltzer water with a twist of fruit juice.
  • You stayed out in the cold too long and now your fingers feel slightly numb. Go inside and rub them together to heat them up. If you have numb white patches of skin that won't go away, get to your doctor. You may have frostbite.
