           is first performed publicly in Weimar, Germany.
   In 1950 "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer" by Spike Jones & the City Slickers
           debuts on the U.S. chart.
   In 1955 Alan Freed hosts an all-star rock & roll show at Manhattan Academy
           of Music that nets $100,000 during its one-week run.
   In 1957 "Jingle Bell Rock" by Bobby Helms charts for the first time.
   In 1957 "April Love" by Pat Boone hits #1 on the U.S. top 40 chart and
           stayed there for 2 weeks.
   In 1961 The Beatles played at the Cavern Club where Brian Epstein invited
           Mike Smith of Decca Records. Smith arranged for a formal audition in
           London on the first day of 1962.
   In 1964 The Beach Boys make their first appearance on "Shindig" performing
