KICK BUTTS DAY!
This March thousands of advocates across the United States and beyond will stand out, speak up and seize control against Big Tobacco. We have made great strides in the fight against tobacco. But every day, more than 3,000 kids under 18 try smoking for the first time and 700 kids become new regular, daily smokers. Tobacco use is still the leading cause of preventable death in the U.S., killing more than 480,000 people every year.
Take a minute and stop at the Wellness Depot and get involved in Kick Butts Day. Cochise County youth coalition and Miss Cochise County will be on site to raise awareness about the tobacco problem, encourage peers to be tobacco-free and support effective solutions to reduce tobacco use.
Thursday, March 17th from 2:30-4:00 PM

Better Hearing Now
Very few people who need and can benefit from hearing aids, implants and other assistive devices have or use them. The existing system for delivering hearing aids is being challenged, how, why and by whom? Why are they so expensive? What options exist and how do I avoid getting ripped off? Why is it more important than ever that consumers be informed and aware and persistent in advocacy for the best possible equipment an services available. Join Karl Hallsten, a retired social worker, and advocate for adults with loss of hearing for the answer to these very important questions.
