You can use your vocabulary to impress others, insult them and amuse them -- even though they don't understand what you're saying. Dictionary.com has come up with ten funny words you can insert in everyday conversations for a smile or even a laugh. Here are ten funny words you might not know:

1. Bumfuzzle

Definition: to confuse or fluster

2. Canoodle

Definition: to caress, fondle or pet amorously

3. Cattywampus

Definition: to be positioned diagonally; askew or awry; cater-cornered

4. Dongle

Definition: a little piece of computer equipment

5. Fartlek

Definition: a training technique, used especially by runners, consisting of bursts of intense effort loosely alternating with less strenuous activity

6. Jackalope

Definition: a fictional animal in the American West that is a jackrabbit with antelope horns

7. Kerfuffle

Definition: fuss or commotion (British)

8. Mugwump

Definition: a person who cannot make up his or her mind on an issue, especially in politics, or a person who is neutral on a controversial issue

9. Shivoo

Definition: a boisterous party or celebration (Australian)

10. Snollygoster

Definition: a clever, unscrupulous person
