State Route 51 (Piestewa Freeway) restricted Saturday, April 21, near Glendale Avenue for pavement-improvement work

Drivers bound for Dreamy Draw can exit at Glendale Avenue and use 16th Street

The northbound State Route 51 (Piestewa Freeway) is scheduled to be restricted on Saturday for pavement-improvement work. Drivers should use caution and allow extra travel time while the following restrictions are in place:

Northbound SR 51 will be narrowed to two lanes between Glendale and Northern Avenues from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 21.

The Glendale Avenue on-ramp will be closed and the Northern Avenue on- and off-ramps will be closed. Detour: Drivers can use southbound 16th Street to eastbound Bethany Home Road to access northbound SR 51.

Drivers heading to the Dreamy Draw Recreation Area can exit northbound SR 51 at Glendale Avenue and use northbound 16th Street to eastbound Northern Avenue.
