Weeklong lane restriction on Araby Road (State Route 195) scheduled to begin Monday

Yuma drivers should plan ahead for lane restrictions on Araby Road (SR 195) beginning early Monday, April 23, and remaining in place for a week.

Contractors are scheduled to relocate utilities between Interstate 8 and 30th Street as the Arizona Department of Transportation prepares for the second phase of construction of the I-8 and Araby Road Traffic Interchange Improvement project.

The following restrictions will be in place 24 hours a day for seven days through Monday, April 30:

The southbound right lane on Araby Road in the work zone will be closed in the work zone from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning Monday, April 23, through Monday, April 30.

A 11-foot-vehicle width restriction will be in place.

Delays are possible, so motorists should consider using alternate routes.

Drivers are asked to use caution, obey posted speed limits and traffic control devices, and use caution around construction personnel and equipment.
