Expect delays on State Route 289 for pavement preservation work April 9

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to expect delays on approximately 10 miles of State Route 289, west of Interstate 19, on Monday, April 9.

Crews are scheduled to complete pavement-preservation work between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. SR 289 will be reduced to a single lane while work is underway. Traffic will flow in alternating directions using flaggers and pilot cars.

Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
